The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

Cba with SNK this year and all the faffing. They're not so special. At least selfridges once its in stock is an easy check out and next day delivery, sorted, no problem.

That's weird. My email said "because you're a Deluxe member you're first in line". I assumed that was sent to all Deluxe members.

I got 9-11am for SpaceNK, I never use my account and not sure I really want it.

I have seen an awful lot of influencers unboxing SNK AC. Which yeah fair enough, i want to see whats in them but then we have to essentially battle it out for one. Lol. How the other half live i suppose🤣

I think I'm going to go to the SNK store tomorrow morning and if they have one, i will get it, if they don't and it sells out by the time it's my slot, then I will buy the Lego set I want which is same price.

It does say you have to click through from the email so maybe they actually are tied in.

I've got 9-11 too. I'm now going off it again - (I'll probably still buy it though). What I really want from it is the Medik8 serum, but I've got a load of serums, I'm thinking maybe I should just wait until there's a good offer on or it's in a cheaper edit. I'm not sure I can be bothered with scrapping for it in the morning and then selling the stuff I don't want 😮‍💨 but then I also want the wa blusher, the cleansing gel, the Summer Fridays lip oil 😕

I have a 9am-11am slot. I wasn’t planning to buy it but the email has definitely tempted me. The contents do look good 😍. I might end up with the same as last year. Liberty & Space NK

I don’t buy anything too ‘influenced’ especially if reality ‘star’ connections.

I really doubt there’s going to be any battling for SNK. They are just trying to tap in to everyone’s FOMO - no way is everyone who signed up to the mailing list actually going to buy it.

I don’t want the SNK calendar either - the mystery door that was brow gel was enough for me!

I liked last year’s a lot and visited it several times in store and it was in and out of my basket, but couldn’t face spending £245.

Loads of people will have signed up to the waitlist without any intention of buying, so even if they have Xthousand calendars and XXthousand on the waitlist, not all will try to buy.

IMO it’s a much worse calendar than last year, (I realise lots of people do love it), so I will be interested to see if it does a Harrods fragrance and sells out straightaway.

Another very early signer up to the waitlist here - my slot is 1pm- 3pm. I don’t like the marketing of this- too much pressure selling.

I’ve decided I don’t desperately need any of them, I’m going to play BAC roulette and wait to see afar else is released. I might get a few edits instead.

I got the 9-11AM slot, also.

I really dislike how Space NK pit their customers against one another, but hopefully it’s just to ensure that there’s less traffic on their site at the same time.

I’ll be working for the whole of my slot so no chance to even use it- I think this may be the sign I need to get DD the beautiful looking JL instead. I have vouchers towards that one too.

I think it's a no from me for the H&B. I went into the store today first thing and had a chat with the assistants. I had to buy oregano oil for our bees, and made use of the inflated prices 3 for 2 offer. There's a couple of things in the AC I like, but the rest, well, id just be buying for buying sake and because it's at the cheaper end of the market.

No from me too to SNK. It just doesn't wow me.

I'm still holding out for Fenwick and a JL Home Fragrance if they do it again. I already have GB and Anthropologie, and DD has a Pokemon card and a Squishmallow on pre order. That means we can both open one each morning and one each evening. We are also doing DIY ones for each other.

I have to be careful as I have ADHD and the FOMO is strong with me, however, I'm learning (at the grand age of 54) that it's the dopamine hit of buying / acquisition that drives me, rather than the true joy of actually having something I truly love. I also have a rather large stash of beauty edits and Vinted purchases to use up.

My second Liberty BD money has gone from my cc to my Liberty account. Why (a large) part of me seems to think this gives me money off the calendar, rather than it being my money transferred in advance to Liberty, I don’t know😹

This is my way of saying I am still very tempted by Liberty. It’s my favourite of all the ones I have seen this year. (But sooo expensive 😿)

My early SNK access slot is 9am to 11am, but as I have got the HN’s AC, I’ll pass.
Does anyone know if Tatcha does any festive edits or good sales around BF?

I got the email from SNK . I opened all the windows - I think the gift for 25th is La Mer volumising lip gloss .

Liberty is in my basket, but if I was going for it I should have done it:

a) When TCB had the cashback and gift card deal on last week
b) Before losing my mind on eBay and buying that Vanilla Powder perfume
c) Before buying quite a lot of stuff for my DIY calendar

I’m annoyed with myself as Liberty doesn’t have any DODs for me, (except possibly the perfumes as they are an unknown quantity). I would use everything in it.

Haha @IlovePond thats how I feel about CB. Should have got it when early access £20 voucher was available. BACKTOSCHOOL still works until 14th September and I didn’t know about that when I wanted to buy it so realistically only missing out on £5. I might still buy it. But not now and not cos I feel I have to. I also respond poorly to feeling pressured by marketing. It’s just not a good few weeks, so much going on!

@IlovePond if I do buy it I think of the “lost” voucher as the price paid for certainty - it’s worth waiting. @OvaHere let me know your thoughts once you’ve tried the Patrick Ta blush. The reviews are amazing.

100% the same. I went into store today and saw all the 3 for 2 on deodrants,skincare,etc. Saving my £50 to go towards and edit I really want. Less stuff but more tailored to me x
