Annual Style and Beauty Advent Calendar discussion thread. First AC reveal this year was 23rd June. First luxury reveal was 2nd July.

The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

Just received an email from Space NK to say my early access email would arrive tomorrow between 9-11am and the earlier you signed up, the earlier you get the email.

They also say they’ve produced almost twice as many calendars this year than they did last year.

@Talisin I don't have an email. That doesn't bode well.

Actually all is forgiven SNK. Just got an email giving me access from 8.30am.

My eye rolled so hard at that email. I got between 1-3pm.

Cult Beauty Ltd edition took 2 days to sell out and was significantly cheaper. Not sure it will sell out in under a day. Feels like hype marketing but I suppose I could be wrong.

Same. Apparently, they’re sending a link between 8.30am and 9.30am. Supposed to be on a conference call at that time. Might need to multitask!

Did anyone get their Look Fantastic fragrance dispatched? Mine is still pending.

In other news my Patrick Ta blush duo from the CB calendar arrived. I love the shade, so autumnal. Just hope I don't look clownish - it's going to need a light touch.

Yeah it’s not a natural blush for sure but really fits with the colour palette that’s on trend for AW25 fashion, maroon and burgundy and chocolate brown

Just did some work on this for 2 pieces of work. Creating sense of urgency to drive things. In my case it was scammers and also driving feedback. But that's why they're doing a limited window, hyping up the anticipation, warning you it might sell out, FOMO and getting you to consider this much wanted calendar again. It's a good plan, it was working for the scammers sadly too.

Rich burgundy is one of my fave colours. I have a number of clothes/accessories in those tones.

Edit to add - it's very similar to the Merit blush I have but that goes on quite sheer and really doesn't last long. I'm hoping the cream/powder combo might give this some staying power.

I have just received my Harvey Nichols 2025 advent calendar, and she’s a beaut. It was a toss up between Space NK, Liberty & Harvey Nichs for me! I’ve also received an email from Space NK this afternoon. Is it acceptable to have two advent calendars, or is that too indulgent?!

It's perfectly acceptable imo.
I quite like that. Much better than the CB. I love th JL and Liberty designs too.

My time slot tomorrow is 9am-11am, so atleast i know i dont need to constantly check my emails all morning.

I won’t be going for it either. I got the AB serum and the Le Mer lipgloss in last year’s Harrods calendar and still haven’t used the serum and barely touched the gloss. Other than that, too many lip products and hair products for me. If it stacked with a gwp though….

I have a question about these time slots. They're all very well but unless they are actually tied to individual accounts surely the first person to get a link can post it on SM/one of the various BAC sites or MN. Then it's just a free for all surely?

I signed up the minute SpaceNK said you could sign up, and yet I've been given 11am-1pm. I think it's appalling as means some may go quick to be sold at higher prices. If there are none by 9am, that's me done with shopping with SpaceNk in protest and I've been a deluxe tier for years. Every one of their brands can be bought elsewhere.
