The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

Good morning! I’ve been an avid lurker on these threads for a while and I finally have a question to ask off the hive mind. I’ve used my beauty drop credit for my liberty calendar. So have some spare cash to buy my teen daughters one to share. They have both settled on Rituals. My question is, it doesn’t seem the best value for money. I’m going to buy it anyway, but in previous years has there ever been any deals on it which I should wait for?? Failing that will buy from boots to get points/ cash back / and hopefully there will be a points vouchers thingy too.

They all seem a bit meh this year, content wise. Vogue is bloody awful.

Holding out to see what Diptyque brings, otherwise might just treat self to one of their large candles. Or maybe Jo Malone calendar might be ok.

If you're anywhere near a McArthur Glen outlet, the Rituals shops usually have the previous year's calendars at a discount. I know at least one poster on here got one or two that way.

Yes - I have bought at least two Rituals calendars massively reduced at the outlet stores - both times in February and they had loads in York last October. Sadly, there has been a total drought this year so far, (and I have been to several outlets to check!)

If anyone sees any Rituals bargain calendars in an outlet, please do shout out on here - it was my favourite calendar last year. (Teeny tiny Shiseido mostly just annoyed me 😹)

My yepoda calendar arrived, hidden away with liberty, and now I should stop reading! The Yepoda one is huge, and really heavy.

I'll be in York in the coming days so I'll take a look for you. And report back on what's available where - I saw Penhaligons 2024 there last month.

Glossybox just turned up and is quite hefty in its box.

@lunar1 - I am very tempted by Yepoda but so many minis!

I wish it had a moisturiser and eye cream. There are so many sprays and masks and I have no use for eye patches (are they supposed to be reusable?)

If it’s still around in a while, I suspect I will crack, though - this one and Liberty and Boots Premium are my favourites.

I am currently stalking a few things on eBay for my DIY calendar. I could actually do with some eye cream as I do run out of that.

Does anyone know what the MZ eye cream is like?

@IlovePondi use their products anyway, and will use any minis for holidays etc. I love how simple they make it with everything being numbered. The eye masks aren’t reusable. im pretty hopeless with sling care so i love the instructions 🫣

I have the MZ eye cream from Liberty AC 2024. A little goes a long way. Quite rich. I prefer the Sunday Riley autocorrect but they’re not the same product.

I've bought a load of stuff from the other calendars to add to my harrods calendar 🤣 I'm going to sell the Rodial blush drops and the Mac lipstick as I know I won't use them. I might also sell the AB face oil as I already have quite a few face oils that need using up.

I've managed to buy:
AB the rich eye cream from liberty ac £40
CT setting spray from selfridges ac £6
Patrick Ta blush from CB ac £15
True Botanicals serum from CB £12
U Beauty Resurfacing peel from CB £4
CT wand from CB £10
I've also picked up some Byoma body £4 wash and some oribe overnight hair cream £3.50

I also got some hourglass samples (decent sizes imo) with the palette that I bought.

I'm on the hunt for a few more things but will only buy at the right price 😊

I’ve also got this from Liberty 24 and love it, so much so that I’ve stocked up! It’s really made a difference to my dark circles and wrinkles!!

Exciting! Out of interest did GB send you a tracking number? I ordered mine on Monday. Money came out same day and I’ve not heard anything since. According to delivery info it should have arrived yesterday. Odd

One way to make the cost better value is to join their loyalty scheme as they do a monthly gift with purchase which you could probably get too?

Also probably a first time customer discount and if you birthday is imminent (which of course it is! Check t’s and cs for a cut off so you qualify this time) and hopefully a free birthday gift may stack too?

I imagine they would not be asking for fragrance one back as that one has been opened and smelled already 😂
It’s so annoying they ship to Ireland but not NI 🤦🏻‍♀️ it just does not make sense
