The regulars on the thread mainly discuss luxury BAC and this dies down by September when everyone has purchased and forgotten the contents. Then it goes into discussion on what’s selling out, what hasn’t and what deals and discounts to be had on ACs in the lead up to December. Then in December we move onto AC opening threads!

I do like the look of this one. Their cleanser is supposed to be very nice so it would be a nice way to try stuff.

I’ve now got pending payments on my card for both the LF fragrance advent and the Lancôme beauty box, but no shipping confirmation emails yet for either. Hopefully soon.

Undecided whether to keep the Lancôme box for Christmas or open it now (I think we all know which option I’ll end up going for 😂).

Products I've tried from Liberty last nght.

Verden balm - this was one of my really want to try items. Smells nice but doesn't project so you need to be nose right up to get a good sniff. No box/product details but it is now on the Verden site. Nice but not essential, I already take magnesium at bedtime.

Ex Nilho Talisan - Bit marmite - there's bits I love but there's a hard cheap alcoholy edge on me. More feminine than masc I think.

Bader eye cream - No box or applicator which is a shame. Be careful it's more like a lotion so when opening and removing the inner cover about 20% was on the inside of it, don't drop! Jar doesn't have the same premium feel as rich cream pump. Which brings me to why is this is a jar? Nice cream though goes on nice. Absolutely worth a try at the lower price, will decant a little into something.

OK my payment has gone out now. That reassures me! I can wait as mine will be stashed away till Dec.

I am still thinking about the Yepoda, but in the meantime I think I will buy one of the MZ eye creams currently on eBay!

I ordered the starter set for £34 and have been hooked since, it didn’t feel like too much of a risky spend.

No 7 Beauty Calendar arrived today! 🙌

I'd love a skincare one but I use Tret so am very limited to what I can put on my skin. I might look at H&B this year as is usually a good mix of items.

Heads up on the Rituals calendars from the outlet stores - check carefully as they aren't necessarily the same contents as the full price UK ones. I bought one last year thinking they were as had the same packaging. But the contents were completely different and it wasn't very good value (tiny sized samples) even at the reduced price!

I had Rituals every year until they became much too expensive. Love their stuff but it's now outrageously priced!!

My Liberty due to have been delivered about now! have warned those who are in the house – don’t want them hefting it over the fence!

Look Fantastic now showing as processed but I've no idea if that means it's on its way.

To be honest I don't mind if it doesn't come until next week now that Selfridges is en route.

Sold a few bits from CB already, so really pleased to get a few extra bob back from it. Ive moved bits from drawers that had multiple items in to fill the gaps.

I am tempted to have a Jan or Nov advent, but i dont know if the novelty will wear off at that point😅

Oh need to get on Vinted and look out for CB bits...

I'm actually getting a bit antsy having not ordered anything yet.

I also thought the space nk gift would be much more exciting a reveal than a clear brow gel 😆.

That's probably me, I've bought a load of stuff 🙈🤣 I've still got more on my list but I can't find a good price for it. Or rather, a price I want to pay.

My Glossybox arrived yesterday. It’s a very pretty and substantial box, well worth keeping.

Ebay really needs to get a grip on fakes. Gisou and lots of K18 fakes.

i need a good brow gel, strong hold and I know the one that works for me. I don't want to try another one that will not work and then try to use it up for months!

I am not sold on any advents yet, apart from LF fragrance. They are shipping after 16th I believe, but not certain.

Hopefully the items I have just bought from eBay for my DIY calendar are not fakes 🙀

Botheration - I just won an auction on an eye cream, paid and someone else on my watch list offered it to me at a lower price 😿

Buy both? Eye creams don't last long.

My CB and GB arrived yesterday. The CB box is not as bad as I thought it would be (not festive or even nice though 😂). Can’t believe it sold out so quickly - glad I bought it as I would have been engulfed with fomo. The GB is bigger than I thought it would be. I’ve bought this one for good value products so will probably open before advent to sort out what I want to keep and what is worth selling. I might keep one of them for my birthday month- it’s a new tradition I started last year and I loved it. My badvent breaks up the year nicely.
Thinking about keeping calendars, I have a question for people lucky enough to win something in an advent- do you get the experience/giftcard in a random drawer with the product for the day or is it separate to the calendar like a piece of card or a leaflet in the packaging? Is it always in Day 25? I would like to check in case there’s gold in them there drawers 🤣.

I am watching a few Gisou lip oils on Vinted I never thought about them being fake! I presume the ones at £7 are fake?

I think you need to check the seller is selling other things from the calendar to be sure. I've seen between £5.50 and £8.29 that I'm sure are fakes and they're selling other fakes. For the K18 £50 item for £5 + postage? or 3 for £10!

I think the best way to tell that something isn’t fake is to look at the seller’s other stuff, if they are obviously selling other items from the same AC then it’s more likely a real product. Also just ask if you’re not sure, I don’t mind people asking on there at all and will always say which advent or edit something was from. Obviously people can lie but there’ll always be that chance.
