M&S full briefs

I'm almost embarrassed to have embraced the massive pants.

I go hiking and often find my high legs ride up and get stuck in certain places and need constant adjusting under the trousers.

I couldn't handle this on another long hike and bought a pack of M and S full briefs. They literally dont move. Full bottom coverage so nothing rides up or down. They just stay put. So comfortable I wore them to work under a dress.

They are bloody ugly looking though and I cringed when I saw myself getting dressed.

Any other recommendations for pants that stay put, are comfortable?

I transitioned into full knicks a few months ago. Wish I’d done it sooner. I wear these. They’re so comfortable and look nice too.

gosh thank you, i need new pants and these look just the job.

Am also a recent convert to The Big Pants and i love them. I actually followed my 20somthing DDs into this. None of us care about looking sexy.

I find M&S lace scratchy. Also gussets are often too narrow.

I agree, the gusset is narrower on some pants meaning liners don’t fit properly and twist

Another vote for the dog's doodahs from me. Wirapa on Amazon.

I chose the cotton shorts as the legs protect the tops of your thighs from chafing. They come in all sorts of colours. Love 'em.

I just want to draw attention to this. I love them. The long legged ones are so comfy and the best solution I have found for thigh chafe.

True, need to avoid a bridget jones moment, though. Hello mummy.

😂

Thindog · 23/08/2025 16:47

Big knickers are also known as harvest pants (all is safely gathered in.)
Try M and S contour high rise knicker shorts, not too ugly and comfy.

Same. I got a pack for after I had a c-section. They weren't meant to be forever, but I've not gone back 7 months later. I'm trying to lose some baby weight, so holding off buying anything new until I'm the weight I want to be, so interested in the suggestions here for the next time I am knicker shopping!

SpottyDottie98 When had my first c section in 1969 was forced to wear the full coverage ones until my scar healed, as I have the old fashioned classical scar with goes vertically down the front of the abdomen.Went back to the low cut bikini ones then had second and last section so onto the full coverage ones again for a bit
Now I am a OAP am back to full coverage permanently

Well don't fucking wear them then. I didn't ask you to.

I was looking for big knickers that don't ride up your butt crack during hiking. That's what I bought them for and then I realized they were comfortable and stayed put under clothing.

No one saying you can't still wear attractive lingerie, for other moments.

Just I found some underwear. That's comfortable and doesn'move around when I m doing my hobby and possibly on a long day at work. Will you don't want to be constantly adjusting underwear. Nobody is going to see them in those circumstances. No one is going to pull down my trousers when i'm hiking and no one is going to pull up my dress at work. So no one sees it.

What was your point. If leading a colorful life means, you know, you ve got a tiny pair of synthetic lacey briefs on which is riding up your arse crack under your dress, and you feel empowered because, you know, it's there... Well off you go then. For me, that isn't leading a racy.Live just because you've got uncomfortable knickers on.

Living a colourful life are not a beige life for me is travelling and hiking all over the world which I have done and I want to be comfortable doing it.

Who knew that a pair of knickers made your life beige or not 😁🤣

Ignore that poster. Look at the posting history, an excessive amount of stuff about knickers, not wearing knickers under dresses, bras, going topless whilst gardening etc. Bloke with a fetish pretending to be a woman, it’s been pointed about before. Sickening

Oh Christ. I wondered what all that crap about fabric bunching up was. Grotty bastard.

tillyandmilly · 23/08/2025 21:07

What does it matter what they look like? No one sees them? I have worn m & s nude cotton full pants last 22 years - really comfy - always hated those cheese string pants!

😳🤦🏼‍♀️

Grim I thought it sounded off. That's the thing about blokes - they never sound like women however hard they try. It just comes across weird.

Sainsbury's full briefs are brilliant. Depressing, but brilliant.

I converted to these earlier in the year. Some of the individual ones are reasonably pretty

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 23/08/2025 21:33

I love proper pants! I switched after having our first baby and I realised how much more comfortable I was. After all, DH (a) isn't wearing them and (b) is much more interested in my taking them off anyway...

sophiecygnet · 23/08/2025 21:47

Damart do some cotton full brief that look neat. Not only the thermals.
Sloggi are less expensive than they used to be.

I thank the mumsnetter who put me onto these. They're amazing. The wider gusset especially.

Betsylee · 23/08/2025 22:20

I have bought the Matalan cotton ones with a lace band at the front in a multi pack of 5, I love them. Bought them originally for a three week cruise and thought I'd throw out if they weren't comfy but they are great, lots of colours, bought two years ago and still going strong although bought many packs and have thrown a few pairs out but have been excellent value.

SparkySparco · 23/08/2025 22:40

I've sworn by Innersy knickers for years.

Pinkchilli · 24/08/2025 00:30

This made me laugh! I have caved at the age of 40 after my M&S midi style were siting so badly on me in certain trousers and dresses. Loving the new style!

chaosmaker · 24/08/2025 01:09

men's boxers. game changer

Rainydayinlondon · 24/08/2025 01:13

I think the Sainsbury's ones don't have firm enough elastic so I'm worried they will ride up

My M and S ones from a few years ago feel very snug under the buttocks but not sure if the design has changed

MyBeloved · 24/08/2025 01:16

Sloggi high leg knickers are so comfortable and really stay in place. Not as depressing as full briefs 😀

LotaWyseWomen · 24/08/2025 05:21

I’ve recently bought some new knickers. These are really comfy. www.next.co.uk/style/st377519/524727#524727

Used to like Sloggi or M&S big knickers, but I find both are poorly made now. And M&S makes a very narrow gusset! Not all vulvas fit through the eye of a needle M&S!

I like Boody underwear at the moment. Little pricey but great quality.
