M&S full briefs

I'm almost embarrassed to have embraced the massive pants.

I go hiking and often find my high legs ride up and get stuck in certain places and need constant adjusting under the trousers.

I couldn't handle this on another long hike and bought a pack of M and S full briefs. They literally dont move. Full bottom coverage so nothing rides up or down. They just stay put. So comfortable I wore them to work under a dress.

They are bloody ugly looking though and I cringed when I saw myself getting dressed.

Any other recommendations for pants that stay put, are comfortable?

I wear sloggi zero feel high waist or Uniqlo autism high rise for work (partly physical so need pants that stay put).

Uniqlo autism?

Uniqlo autism?

Typo for Airism I would guess

Bought wirarpa after they were recommended on mumsnet. Best buy ever.

Thank you for the recommendation. I nearly passed out with excitement when I saw their super high-waisted knickers. I'll be able to tuck them into my bra for the winter 😂 My finger couldn't hit order fast enough!!

😂

I got some for post c section recovery, DS is now 14, still in them!

I junked all my black boxer shorts type pants for British Boxers bamboo knicks, great colours, lovely and soft, wash beautifully and dry fast. Got some for daughter and she loves them too! great coverage, no nasty scratchy bits round legs... now got 12 pairs!!

Am l the only one a tad perplexed by this thread? Each to their own, but l don’t want masses of thick fabric that l find bunches up and with fitted dresses gives the impression that you have been cut in half and glued together again.

l want fine fabric with lots of stretch that adheres to my body and gives a good line, but for me bulky is not the answer; less is more.

l usually by 2 pairs of matching knix when l buy a new bra. Although l aspire to match, l don’t always deliver on that one.

I also want life in full colour. I don’t live a beige life so l don’t want to be beige underneath it all. As for the comment about nobody seeing them, l may be in my 40s but still get seen in my undies from time to time 😀.

The Matalan ones I get aren’t bulky, they’re very stretchy and just have more coverage, they’re not thick fabric
I want thin stretchy fabric but for it to cover my bum and stomach!

I wear M and S full briefs period pants. I’m 52 and been through menopause but I have a shit pelvic floor so like these in case I dribble wee

I know this isn't the point of the thread but this is highly treatable and you don't have to live like this. Please see a specialist pelvic physio for an assessment and treatment plan.

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 23/08/2025 12:05

Brazilians don't work on a rounded bum, sadly. Maybe if it's flatter?

OP, I like the high rise knickers from Stripe and Stare. I have an excellent set in neon.

PissPotPourri · 23/08/2025 12:12

Can I ask about VPLs with these big pants? I can’t stand a VPL, will NOT wear a thong, and so by default wear brazilian.
Many of these pants people are recommending look comfy but do look like they would give a VPL

henlake7 · 23/08/2025 12:12

I must try these wirapa ones everybody talks up, they sound pretty good.

Ive always worn grannie pants.
I went from an XXL with a massive fat apron to XS with an empty fat apron (I can now roll it up and shove it in my pants!!LOL).
High legs and low waists really dont look great if you are having to work out where to tuck all the extra fat or skin!😂

Wirapa pants - what size should I get for size 16. Reviews say they’re huge.

I wore a size large for a 16, I lost a bit of weight and now 14 and went down to a medium.

Ha, I have no recommendations I’m afraid but since having a C section I’ve also embraced the big pants! So ugly and yet so comfy!!

So I'd need a small if i'm a 12?

Why do women torture themselves with thongs? They’re uncomfortable and ugly, except for those size 10 and under. Big pants aren’t sexy but I don’t care.

flightofthecorkers · 23/08/2025 12:51

thongs....ugly, except for those size 10 and under

I think it's also about shape and tone. Even when I was a size 8-10 (sigh....) I didn't like thongs going up my well rounded arse and when you reveal that much butt cheek under your clothes the texture/firmness of your skin is on show.

Big knickers can look nice, can't they?

Wirapa off Amazon are the dog's doodahs imo.

I see these recommended all the time, I've finally looked. Those are some of the ugliest knickers I have ever seen!

I’d think so, there is a fair amount of give in them

NancyBellaDonna · 23/08/2025 13:17

Another vote for the dog's doodahs from me. Wirapa on Amazon.

I chose the cotton shorts as the legs protect the tops of your thighs from chafing. They come in all sorts of colours. Love 'em.

luckylavender · 23/08/2025 13:20

I love M&S big pants. Also the high leg lacy ones. Can’t relate to people who say they are bad quality
