M&S full briefs

I'm almost embarrassed to have embraced the massive pants.

I go hiking and often find my high legs ride up and get stuck in certain places and need constant adjusting under the trousers.

I couldn't handle this on another long hike and bought a pack of M and S full briefs. They literally dont move. Full bottom coverage so nothing rides up or down. They just stay put. So comfortable I wore them to work under a dress.

They are bloody ugly looking though and I cringed when I saw myself getting dressed.

Any other recommendations for pants that stay put, are comfortable?

Thank you for the recommendation. I nearly passed out with excitement when I saw their super high-waisted knickers. I'll be able to tuck them into my bra for the winter 😂 My finger couldn't hit order fast enough!!

Right?I'm off to have a look as I haven't had a chance before now

The joy of big pants. I love ‘em. Wore them ever since I had DD1 in my late 30s. Never returned to tiny pants. M&S microfibre ones and cotton modal ones are the only pants I wear now, teamed with the same colour of bra. DH has never complained.

They’re under your clothes so it doesn’t matter how they look!

Sunshineandrainbow · 22/08/2025 23:04

I like Sainsbury's full briefs with the lace edge at the top front, makes it easier to tell what side the front is too!

True, need to avoid a bridget jones moment, though. Hello mummy.

I wear M and S full briefs period pants. I’m 52 and been through menopause but I have a shit pelvic floor so like these in case I dribble wee

Wonderknicks · 22/08/2025 23:53

Which wirapa ones do people recommend? I've got innersy ones (they seem to be described as both full brief & mid rise, but are great). I can't believe I waited until my 60s to wear big comfy pants. Men wear comfy boxers, why do we wear uncomfortable little scraps?

snackatack · 23/08/2025 00:44

I don't want high waisted but i don't like the 'diagonal bum' - i want 'full.. full' coverage - are the amazon ones like that (i've given up on m and s - they are thin and not comfy.. half way across a cheek meh)

Am l the only one a tad perplexed by this thread? Each to their own, but l don’t want masses of thick fabric that l find bunches up and with fitted dresses gives the impression that you have been cut in half and glued together again.

l want fine fabric with lots of stretch that adheres to my body and gives a good line, but for me bulky is not the answer; less is more.

l usually by 2 pairs of matching knix when l buy a new bra. Although l aspire to match, l don’t always deliver on that one.

I also want life in full colour. I don’t live a beige life so l don’t want to be beige underneath it all. As for the comment about nobody seeing them, l may be in my 40s but still get seen in my undies from time to time 😀.

Mikart · 23/08/2025 07:13

Wirapa modal boxers. Just bought 12 pairs to replace the cotton ones.

I’m perplexed by what you are talking about. Full briefs don’t have masses of fabric. We aren’t talking about bloomers.

And if you don’t like beige then don’t buy beige ones. Many other colours are available.

AppleKatie · 23/08/2025 08:14

I want full stretch that covers my arse comfortably all day.

Ive been wearing full briefs since my early 30s!

they are still smaller than my husbands boxers and I’m convinced tiny pants is just patriarchy/internalised misogyny.

I don’t understand the mystery here. I prefer Brazilians, for me they stop in place and full briefs have more fabric. That’s why if you have trousers on they can stick out the top when you bend over. I’m simply stating a preference.

The colour issue was simply an aside while l was on the subject.

They don’t bunch. I wear Wirapa and they cover my whole arse and up to my belly button. I find they don’t move and whilst aren’t control pants are sturdy enough to smooth out my decidedly wobbly stomach.

Newgirls · 23/08/2025 08:41

I’m convinced this is a feminist act. Dress for hiking, comfort and smooth lines under clothes and not to look sexy 💪

Well don't fucking wear them then. I didn't ask you to.

I was looking for big knickers that don't ride up your butt crack during hiking. That's what I bought them for and then I realized they were comfortable and stayed put under clothing.

No one saying you can't still wear attractive lingerie, for other moments.

Just I found some underwear. That's comfortable and doesn'move around when I m doing my hobby and possibly on a long day at work. Will you don't want to be constantly adjusting underwear. Nobody is going to see them in those circumstances. No one is going to pull down my trousers when i'm hiking and no one is going to pull up my dress at work. So no one sees it.

What was your point. If leading a colorful life means, you know, you ve got a tiny pair of synthetic lacey briefs on which is riding up your arse crack under your dress, and you feel empowered because, you know, it's there... Well off you go then. For me, that isn't leading a racy.Live just because you've got uncomfortable knickers on.

Living a colourful life are not a beige life for me is travelling and hiking all over the world which I have done and I want to be comfortable doing it.

Who knew that a pair of knickers made your life beige or not 😁🤣

Who knew that living a colorful life meant wearing lacey underwear. Apparently you're living a beige life and not a life in color if you wear underpants that are comfortable.

There's so much wrong with that.I don't know where to start its hilarious. Whether or not your life is colourful depends on what you do In your life, not what knickers you have on.

It's not a feminis act.I just happened to do hiking as a hobby. You are most welcome to go hiking in a thong and tell me how comfortable you are. 😄

For me, brazilians no matter the size, shop, etc spend their whole time totally up my bum crack. I don’t find them comfortable at all.

Different underwear for different outfits also isn’t an alien concept, so the OP wanted larger style for hiking, she might wear something else for dresses.

Also, my life isn’t beige if I wear beige knickers 😂.

I like the Coskefy ones from Amazon, slightly smaller than the wirpa ones.

I found that with Brazilians ... the worst for riding up.

cries into coffee I am so torn on the knickers thing. I have fallen completely into wearing massive knickers post 2 babies/c sections and my confidence is on the floor re clothes and body in general. The huge knickers are sooooo comfy... but make me like crap when getting undressed and I spot myself. I'm only in my (late late) 30s and don't want to give up on feeling sexy. Is there no compromise?! I need help!
Have tried wirarpa and they are very thick, inflexible fabric and really dig into my belly fat, have just reordered in a size up out of desperation, but I don't love them the way everybody else seems to.

I agree, and my full boyshorts are made from fine fabric with lots of stretch - and I don't buy beige!

I wear sloggi zero feel high waist or Uniqlo autism high rise for work (partly physical so need pants that stay put).
