Has anyone regretted Botox?

Hi,

45yrs old and first time botox appointment is booked for next week. The injector is a dentist with many years experience, she's done other cosmetic work for me, just not this. She recommended forehead, crowsfeet and in the middle of eyes. My eyes are a little hooded so I was worried about heaviness, so she's going to go light in the forehead

I'm so jittery about it now it's getting closer. What if I get ptosis or a wonky face, I also don't want to be frozen, just gently more refreshed!

Just started a new job so I'm treating myself with the first extra pay. But also if it goes wrong I will have zero confidence in this new job facing all these new colleagues

Has it gone wrong for anyone here? Has anyone regretted it?

Ah I see thanks, I had it heavy once and did notice my eyes weren’t as big.

So many seem to have had this result- why would you keep having it? I remember Simon Cowell looking weird- and he can afford for the best practitioner in the world to do his!

Because you dont have to have it in your high forehead?

Radioundermypillow · 28/07/2025 15:08

Simon Cowell looked weird because of filler and he's had a face lift.

Only have a couple of forehead lines, so not doing it. Don’t want a glassy smooth forehead anyway- it looks odd. Luckily no 11s either. I’ll stick to tret and face yoga. At 76 I must have been lucky not to have these ravages of Mother Nature- so far!

Cool. Curious as to why you clicked on the thread and decided to post?

I haven’t had it since due to cost but if I did I just wouldn’t get it directly over the eyebrows. You can have it in the rest of the forehead but have it so you can still raise eyebrows
The odd look people have is usually due to fillers or just doing everything to excess

Because I’m interested in anything anti ageing, and like to look at different views and experiences . Same reason I look at any post on anything and respond.

Botox too, by the look of him and the collapsed eye brows that I’ve noticed in the past!

I get it between my brows and a tiny bit in my brow. It lifts my brows slightly. I don't have it in my hairline any more because it makes my eyes hooded. But I have very few lines on my forehead.

Really tempted by a lip flip but the possibility of it going wrong is too scary!

I have hooded eyes and botox actually improves the look of them. I originally only wanted the 11s done so I didn't look so frowny but she (nurse prescriber) suggested as it only needed a little bit that she popped the leftover dose into the eyebrow area too. I couldn't understand the logic as I thought a muscle relaxant would make my eyebrows drop but it was the opposite- pulled them (and therefore also my eyelids) up slightly and I now look properly awake and not tired! Its not a Mr Spock surprised look, just a refreshed/ rested look.

So no regrets! Have been back a few times now.

She sounds great. Is there any chance you could pm me her details?

I’ve had Botox for many years but always end up with a drop rather than a lift. I’ve asked for a lift many times but always results in a drop. I just don’t treat that area at all anymore and just have my eyes, lips, chin and mouth corners. Will try my neck soon.

Navina at Beauty Shots in Burghfield, near Reading. Don't know if that location is any good for you but definitely recommend her.
