Well style mavens, that last thread went quickly! Let's hope we get more royal fashion to analyse. I think we need some tiara action, though.

The dropped waist is the least of the problems with that dress.

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 11/07/2025 23:50

I wholeheartedly agree. That was not a good look!

justasking111 · 11/07/2025 23:57

Anna Wintours dress perfect for the heatwave today though.

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 12/07/2025 00:05

I like her dress; I'd wear it! But not the shoes.

Cassiope · 12/07/2025 10:24

Have now seen a picture of Carole Middleton's Wimbledon dress and I'm not keen. It looks as if she's forgotten the belt for a slightly eccentric shirt dress. Not at all the 20s vibe I was fondly imagining. Neither is Kate's version, but although it's the minority view on this thread, I think that works on its own terms and it does show off her figure.

onehorserace · 12/07/2025 10:31

I'm not keen on these dropped waisted dresses.

Yes I didn't like Carole's either. I'd happily wear Anna's, which is much nicer.

Catherine would look great in a true flapper style dropped waist dress.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 12/07/2025 11:30

We haven't seen Kate at Wimbledon at all this year but I assume she'll be there for the finals today and tomorrow.

justasking111 · 12/07/2025 11:32

Carole has put on a few pounds around the waist and binned the belt I suspect. Plus in this heat loose is better .

Maireas · 12/07/2025 14:28

Thanks, @PurplebeadedFendi .
The 2018 look, both dress and hair, are my favourite. That yellow is beautiful. Although I also like the mint green Self Portrait dress. It's a bit divisive on here, but I think the structured top and soft skirt is a lovely look.

You are welcome @Maireas . It's a toss up for me between the Pink Beulah dress from 2021 and the 2016 Alexander McQueen, which has some cool skulls amongst the botanical print.

Yes, Carole is not as thin as she used to be.

Well, women's bodies change. For all sorts of reasons. She always looks good, appropriate and right for the occasion.

Do we have to have bitchy comments about weight? This is supposed to be a style thread.

Yes, that's a really intriguing print, isn't it? I think the first two were a bit literal! She was still trying to find her style and right clothes for the role and how to present herself.

Thank you 👍. It's a pity this has to he said.

I actually love that 2011 Temperley dress, but I agree, she went with Wimbledon whites theme for a good few years!

Sidebeforeself · 12/07/2025 15:02

I dont think theres a Wimbledon look of Kates that I haven’t liked! She seems to nail it every time.

Maireas · 12/07/2025 15:14

Kate's just arrived and looks lovely in white. I don't know if it's Self Portrait, but it's a neat fitted, short sleeved jacket with a Nehru collar, and a long, soft pleated skirt.

OP posts:
KiIIingMeDeftly · 12/07/2025 15:14

Kate's in one of her cream Self-Portrait ensembles.

Maireas · 12/07/2025 15:16

Is it cream? It looks white on my telly box. Lovely, anyway.

CatKings · 12/07/2025 15:18

Someone on Twitter said it’s Dior.

Foolsgold74 · 12/07/2025 15:18

She looks fantastic. Love the outfit on her and I prefer her hair a bit darker.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 12/07/2025 15:19

I didn't look that closely, I just saw it in passing on X! So it may well be white. It's nice but I'm a bit over that silhouette.
