Well style mavens, that last thread went quickly! Let's hope we get more royal fashion to analyse. I think we need some tiara action, though.

Someone on Twitter said it’s Dior.

Could be, it's very chic.

Oh no I spoke too soon about loving all of Kates Wimbledon outfits! In fact I nearly added “let’s hope is not a Self Portrait style number!” Im so over that. However, I haven’t actually seen her yet so I might be pleasantly surprised.

Maireas · 12/07/2025 15:24

Well, I think it looks great, @Sidebeforeself , but as we often say on here - taste is subjective! I really love her bag.

Actually I've had a closer look now and its not a repeat and could be Dior, though its a similar look to SP. I like the floaty skirt but something about the top half reminds me of Charles's safari suits! I think its the pockets and belt.

Sidebeforeself · 12/07/2025 15:25

I like the colour and she looks very cool, I’ll give her that.

PurplebeadedFendi · 12/07/2025 15:30

It's pretty much a white version of her mint colored Self Portrait look of 2023, but with a Nehru collar. She looks lovely.

Maireas · 12/07/2025 15:31

Yes, that mint green one is a favourite of mine.

The top is awful, I know she likes buttons and they add weight but it's too safari as pp said.

BeaLola · 12/07/2025 15:43

I would love to look as amazing as Carole M

jaws33 · 12/07/2025 15:43

I like the skirt & it's the right length and the belt shortens her torso. The shapes are good for her, really liked the recent Dior outfit but she needs to lose the buttons!

It sooo similar to the 2023 outfit. And also a similar silhouette to the Dior outfit earlier this week. All pale.

Where’s the variety? The fun?

It is possible that this wasn’t her first choice outfit but that whatever she was planning to wear was a bad choice in the heatwave. But otherwise it’s just dull. Suitable but dull.

Maireas · 12/07/2025 15:49

I don't think it's dull, I think it looks stylish. She recently wore a gorgeous deep red Sarah Burton evening gown, and a very 80s green outfit at the Trooping. Shortly before that, a chartreuse Stella McCartney trouser suit and a Ralph Lauren shirt and trousers for the hospital visit.

tbf that's not her style.

Yes, I think you're right, I think she's dressing for a role.

Choux · 12/07/2025 16:12

This is my favourite Wimbledon look from her. It’s from 2022. It’s a great colour, has a great detail on the shoulder. It wasn’t even the first time she had worn it as she wore it on the Caribbean tour but it was fresh and striking and still seems it.

Perhaps she is saving her most stylish outfit of the weekend for tomorrow. Or perhaps she just isn’t in the same headspace any more now William is the heir and she has been ill.

I thought so too.
I just don’t like the belt. A fitted peplum without the belt is nicer I think

In your opinion. I love the look, and if she's happy wearing it, and feels comfortable being on show for hours on end, then that's all that matters.

Apologies @Choux , my response was snappier than it needed to be. Hot, annoyed and having to cook and clean rather than watch the tennis in peace!

Choux · 12/07/2025 16:29

No need to apologise @PurplebeadedFendias it goes without saying that what I write is just my opinion. I didn’t take offence.

As I said her outfit is eminently suitable but I would enjoy seeing some different looks from her. (I was the one who totted up her 5 Self Portrait versions (3 are white / cream) and posted photos earlier this week so perhaps that has tainted my view that she could mix things up more).

justasking111 · 12/07/2025 16:30

Love Kate's outfit. In a heatwave, floaty skirt, fitted top and lovely handbag (Which I covet is perfect.

I didn't watch Wimbledon sat in sons garden quaffing wine, getting squirted with the new water guns I had bought for three grandchildren. Very chilled now 🤣

Maireas · 12/07/2025 16:32

Fair points, @Choux .

OP posts:
Sidebeforeself · 12/07/2025 16:36

I hoping for a new pretty dress tomorrow. I think sometimes she wears fabrics that look too heavy for hot weather.

Sidebeforeself · 12/07/2025 16:38

Also, I really think she could rock a swingy ponytail at Wimbledon , although I do appreciate she’s there in a more formal capacity. But surely she’d be forgiven in this heat!

jaws33 · 12/07/2025 16:59

Yes, I think you're right, I think she's dressing for a role.

Why does dressing for a role mean no variety or fun?

She's not into fashion which is fair enough.
