Well style mavens, that last thread went quickly! Let's hope we get more royal fashion to analyse. I think we need some tiara action, though.

I am guessing that is Jenny Packham?

Sarah Burton for Givenchy. Perfect for the event!

(It also would have been a great match for the sapphire sunburst tiara, previously worn by Princess Margaret…just saying)

Tricolor!
Cams in classic white with the sapphires, very elegant. Brigitte Macron's dress is a beautiful strong blue and I love the silhouette - more caped sleeves! I don't like the detail on the shoulders, though.

But you have to bling up the shoulders when your fellow ladies are all tiara’d and you don’t have one!!!

Cassiope · 08/07/2025 20:52

I think Queen Camilla looks amazing. The skirt of her gown is flattering and the sapphires are stunning against the white. Second prize to Mme M., whose long sleeves work well with her sleek blue gown. Not keen on Catherine's outfit, I'm afraid.

I suspect Kate has a scar from a port. She never exposes much of her neck/clavicle area these days.

No, both the Dior jacket today and the VE Day outfit had a V neck. That's the proportion I'm thinking of.

Ah! That's true 😌

Would love a close up of the floral decorations - I'm much more of a plant nerd than a clothes nerd. Hoping they're seasonal and British grown.

Henceforth you will be our floral decorations expert and guide us through them! Your thoughts on tonight?

Oh I love Catherine's gown. Wish she could've worn the Oriental Circlet Tiara with it! I don't think it's spoken for yet, is it, and Camilla already has the Burmese.

Sigh. No tiara excitement.

ScratCat · 08/07/2025 20:56

Camilla and Brigitte look great. Not crazy about Kate’s dress, bit drowny on her.

Choux · 08/07/2025 20:56

Anne, Sophie and Birgitte all in white. Sophie’s is practically a day dress in my opinion.

Camilla's gown is a bit boring, but that's a stonking parure!

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 08/07/2025 20:57

They all look fabulous really.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 08/07/2025 20:58

That's an odd choice from Sophie. Not sure white suits her as it washes her out a bit.

But the simplicity just amps up those stunning sapphires.

Maireas · 08/07/2025 20:59

Yes, Sophie's dress is a bit of a funny length. I love her shoes, though, and I think that's her aquamarine tiara.

I love Kate’s red dress; she looks wonderful. Camilla’s white dress is a bit boring but the sapphires just about make up for it.

Maireas · 08/07/2025 21:01

I can just see Birgitte in the background, in white. I think she's wearing the Gloucester honeysuckle tiara? I could be wrong. Need a close up.

I mostly channel Cousin Itt!

I’ve just been catching up on this thread as I was a bit behind, for a second I read this as Chanel Cousin It. I wondered what sort of crossover collection that would be 😂

I liked the outfits from earlier today, just about to catch up with this evening’s including tiara choices 👑

MotherofPearl · 08/07/2025 21:02

I know we’ve said it before, but poor Sophie. She really needs a better (and bigger!) tiara. That aquamarine one of hers is terribly flimsy looking.

PurplebeadedFendi · 08/07/2025 21:03

They are walking in on the live feed.

Yes. Was so nice to see her in one of Catherine's (which one, again?) a while back.

MrsLeonFarrell · 08/07/2025 21:03

I wonder if Catherine's dress looks better in person. When I first saw the photo on Instagram it looked very solid but now I see it is far more diaphanous. I bet it looks lovely in motion.

justasking111 · 08/07/2025 21:04

Kate I'm getting Hammer house of horror vampire vibes 🤣. Just saying.

Camilla very regal

Mme Macron elegant.

Bit disappointed in the bling.

Maybe because you can't see her arms? It's quite floaty and very elegant when she's walking into the banquet hall.

Her jewellery appears to be turquoise?
