I am 52 never been to an outside gig before - I have managed to get Oasis tickets! ( not even that bothered about seeing them ) but my kids want to go.

What do I wear?? where do I start?

I am 52, size 16, I am so far out of my comfort zone its untrue!

I've got a 'Pretty Green' rain jacket for such events. It must be nearing vintage now!

I’ve been to loads of concerts spanning 45 years and have never been covered in piss. Just keep away from the first few rows of people and you’ll be fine. Take as little as possible-certainly not a dry robe. Even macs are overkill-if you’re in the thrill of it all who cares if you get a bit wet if it rains. Take a light hoody and tie round your waist but I bet you won’t need it for the concert but you might need it afterwards when you cool down a bit. If you’re at HP, the local roads will be closed to non residents.

Well, turns out it’s not just those at the front having a piss shower 😅

Went yesterday and wore jeans, an old / vintage 😉 oasis tshirt and trainers. 90% of people were in oasis T-shirts.

It was totally BRILLIANT, surpassed all my expectations. It was hot! I’m glad I wasn’t wearing anything with long sleeves and saw lots of people in shorts. My trainers are totally mank today so I wouldn’t wear sandals of any kind, even though people do

have fun!! Liams voice is fantastic and Noel did so much more lead guitar than normal. fans around us were all so lovely, it was banging and I’m so jealous of those who still have this to come!

I went on Saturday -I’m 51 and wore denim shorts and a vintage oasis T-shirt , trainers and a bucket hat for the flying beer - most people were wearing the same if that helps

Well ladies I made it! The weather was bloody brilliant, no need for my poncho haha
I wore black denim shorts, converse, t shirt and the coolest linen shirt
I bloody loved it! It was epic

So glad you had a great time OP 😁

Also really happy as some one who is a huge fan and has always loved them but didn’t get tickets (saw them back in the day at Finsbury Park), to hear how awesome Liam’s voice was and what an incredible show it was despite so so many people here and IRL slagging them off when tickets were on sale. Mocking us all for how mediocre they are. How they would sound totally shit. I have had serious FOMO 😁 but I’m so chuffed for all the youngsters and not so young ones who saw them for the first time, for it to have been such an epic, friendly and buzzing event.

I wonder how many contemporary artists now will draw such crowds and interest in the future?

Lanzarotelady · 13/07/2025 10:58

I wasn't the fattest, I wasn't the oldest, the crowd were fab! I want to do it all again
