I've just come back from seeing Linkin Park at Wembley, 32 degrees in London, I was wearing a jumpsuit and I was drenched in sweat, I recommend wearing legging shorts and a t shirt! The crowd is massive and it will be hot, prepare for queuing with hot sweaty people.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 29/06/2025 20:20

The weather here is forecast to be different every day at the moment, I would keep an eye on that and make sure you have a hoodie or such if its going to get cooler when the sun goes down. Other than that jeans or cargos and a tshirt will be fine, I like cargos as I can put my stuff in the pockets and not take a bag.

Try not to piss in anyone's gardens on the way home, the local facebook group will be moaning for weeks.

This might help, have fun

I usually like this ladies posts but I swear some of these influencers have never actually been to a festival. The last thing you want with festival toilets is nice coloured trainers and long flowy skirts!

Size40Shoes · 29/06/2025 20:40

I'm seeing them at Principality on the 5th. I'm going in leggings, trainers and an Oasis t-shirt I wore at the last gig I saw them at 20 years ago. Cannot wait!!!

KhakiTraybake · 29/06/2025 20:43

Tshirt, take a hoodie or cardigan. Jeans? Loose fitting trousers, trainers 👌 comfy

Enjoy, lucky bugger x

OnTheBoardwalk · 29/06/2025 21:11

I wouldn’t wear jeans as you have to pull them down in the pissy toilets

shorts would be better or a skirt, but I don’t have one of them

ResidentPorker · 29/06/2025 21:22

You’re massively overthinking this. Just wear something comfortable and reasonably practical. You’ll be fine.

HevenlyMeS · 29/06/2025 22:03

Immensely delighted for you & your Beloved Children to be enjoying this absolutely brilliant experience together
It truly doesn't matter what you wear so long's you're comfortable
💚🤗💚

I live by Heaton Park - definitely something warm if it isn't forecast to be hot! Not sure how you are planning to get away afterwards, but if using public transport you could have quite a wait and there's nothing worse than being cold!
Also something you don't mind getting dirty as we've had a lot of rain so it could get muddy.

Could you give me some advice on where a taxi could drop me off at Heaton park or where to park please? I have had spinal surgery so not in the greatest health but it’s my lifelong dream to see them so bought tickets off viagogo - nervous about how far away from the park we can get dropped off or park. Any advice would be much appreciated

Lanzarotelady · 26/06/2025 13:44

Yes sorry I totally get no one person will be looking at me.

Not going to make any decisions until I know the weather, but was thinking jeans, walking boots and a dry robe?

Think ' comfy ' foldable perching stool, I found standing around for 3/4 hours take its toll on ya, or it does me,
Good rugsack and lots of snacks,

Enjoy

I've been a few times and would rule out the tram in your situation as it was a bit of a trek
The best way I have done this was parking on somebody's drive who lives nearby and I think there's a school which opens up for parking too.
I'm sure you could book this on a parking app now rather than turning up.

The other thing would be to get dropped off in a taxi at the disabled drop off area.
I'm sure there will be information for this online.

Thank you. The disabled drop off area sounds good - I’m coming from an hour and a half away so being dropped off would be the best for me as I’ll be stood all day as you can’t take any food up seats. I’m grateful my surgery has worked though that allows me to attempt this. Thanks again!

Luddite26 · 30/06/2025 15:15

I hope you enjoy it @CareerChange24 it will be a long day and really take it out of you (worth it I know).
My son is paralysed and just been to a gig in Hyde Park, there is assistance if you need it.

PrissyGalore · 30/06/2025 16:20

I’ve been to loads of concerts spanning 45 years and have never been covered in piss. Just keep away from the first few rows of people and you’ll be fine. Take as little as possible-certainly not a dry robe. Even macs are overkill-if you’re in the thrill of it all who cares if you get a bit wet if it rains. Take a light hoody and tie round your waist but I bet you won’t need it for the concert but you might need it afterwards when you cool down a bit. If you’re at HP, the local roads will be closed to non residents.

MokaEfti · 30/06/2025 16:26

No piss throwing at Blur gigs ofc

OnTheBoardwalk · 30/06/2025 16:36

please do read up on the official page, there’s some duff advice being given on this thread

there's no snacks allowed, you can’t take a rucksack or a seat and there’s no accessible entrance. Trying to book someone’s drive is good advice as long as you get the permit from them to get to it

https://www.gigsandtours.com/content/oasis-heaton-park

and if Daphne and Celeste are supporting, DUCK. this was my first experience of this foul behaviour

Checkthemeaning · 30/06/2025 16:45

I’m going on the 12th & I’m wearing leather shorts, a Fred Perry polo and old pair of Clarks desert boots. I have a thin jacket with a hood I can sling around my waist.

I’ve seen them many many times and the piss isn’t as bad as folk are making out! Just duck when you see a plastic cup flying overhead 🤣🤣🤣

I’m lucky to have hospitality so we have our own bar & toilets! Have a great time with your son & don’t panic! Everyone looks after each other & it’ll be a banging atmosphere

That’s coz they are posh and probably hand round tasty cheese boards at regular intervals 😁

No piss at James either. Tim booth is quite posh though I think.

namechangeGOT · 01/07/2025 10:54

I’m going to Heaton park, just probably my cut off Levi’s shorts and a vest. Footwear I’ll decide on the day - hopefully just my converse but if wet underfoot my dr martens!

Jamesblonde2 · 01/07/2025 10:59

Cargos and t-shirt, trainers and maybe a sweatshirt for when the sun goes down. No-one is interested in what a 52 year old woman is wearing, unless she’s wearing some crazy garb to atttact attention. No offence, I’m the same age. Some cool male dudes will stand out looking good in their gear. Everyone just going for the music abd vibe.

permanentdamage · 01/07/2025 11:09

I saw Stone Roses at Heaton Park.

I would say:

dress for the weather

take a lightweight waterproof you can fold up small in your bag if rain is predicted

comfortable footwear, you'll be on your feet all day

small bag / backpack for necessities. Take tissues because loo roll might be scarce. Also hand sanitiser.

MOST IMPORTANTLY something you can go to the loo quickly and easily in a portaloo i.e. no jumpsuits or long skirts that drag on the pissy floor. The loos are minging.

Edited

I have already said I know no one is interested in what I am wearing. I am dressing for me, for comfort, for the weather, for standing, for nipping to the loo.
