Saw the first post today releasing contents and price so have started this thread. Let the spreadsheets commence.

Revolution Beauty £50 beautyadventcalendar.net/revolution-advent-calendar-2025/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DLQEY5ao22M

I’ve called it S&B as there’s usually discussion of nice food, socks, jewellery and other item ACs as well.

Thanks @JoRaRaRa and @OvaHere - interesting that our ideal a/cs are similar!

Footcream is an interesting one @OchonAgusOchonOh - I could add that to my list…

I used to have foot cream in the locker with the intention of using it nightly. Rarely happened.

I have since switched to leaving it on the dressing table and using it every morning I'm wearing socks. My feet are much smoother.

https://beauty-detective.com/macmillan-advent-calendar-2025/

I remember this was popular last year. I think it went on offer at some point.

It's a solid calendar - nothing too exciting but some popular products. I think it was star product for Boots at one point last year and became a real bargain. I might be tempted if I can build my Boots points back up in time

My fantasy calendar would be:
Hair - nothing other than maybe a CG friendly leave in conditioner type product. Or scrunchies. I actually quite like getting scrunchies and clips.
Skincare - should be about 70% of the calendar. Cleansing balm/oil, night oil, a lovely day cream, ALL the serums. If there's SPF in anything, it should be min 50. NO masks
Bodycare - soap, shower gel, no bath oil (only because I have lots), body lotion/creams, handcream, perfume
Make up - NO red lipstick or nail varnish. NO black eyeliner, but other shades acceptable. Lip oil or sheer lipstick in a wearable, every day shade.
Other stuff - candles, room spray (but NOT pillow spray), Random Shit that I don't even know I want 😂The cuff things from last year's H&B calendar were mocked but they've turned out to be one of the most useful things from any calendar. I also really like the stuff like the face vinegar and toothpaste in H&B...things I'd never normally buy for myself.

I realise I seem to have more things I don't want than things I do want! I like advent calendars for trying out new products, so I'm rarely looking for a specific products but I do get put off when there are things that I know I won't use (hair products, red lipstick) or that I already have lots of (masks, black eyeliner, pillow spray etc)

IlovePond · 07/08/2025 15:02

Good tip @OchonAgusOchonOh

I have just looked again at Liberty and it’s pretty good - am quite tempted.

SoloCat · 07/08/2025 16:05

I’d like no make up in an advent..no red lipstick! Mostly skin care, luxury day and night creams. Body cream with matching perfume. I’d like a forest therapy AA oil instead of the usual ones.
I think I’m over spoiled as I’d really like a real luxury item in each drawer…like the Harrods fragrance, but skin care.

SoloCat · 07/08/2025 16:06

As for foot lotions/cream I still use Body Shop peppermint foot lotion which is great in the summer.

Growlybear83 · 07/08/2025 16:37

My ideal calendar would be mostly split between perfumes and face / body creams. Definitely no make up, masks, cleansers, accessories, nail care products, or candles.

powtonharris · 07/08/2025 16:57

My products of choice are nearly the opposite of everyone else - I do my own nails so love nail products (except red/gold, too many already!), I got an Essie AC on sale a few years back which I loved. I hate body lotion, hand cream, black eyeliner and Elasticizer! Love perfumes/bath products too.

MonkeyTennis34 · 07/08/2025 17:40

@Roundaboot
Yes, the MacMillan AC was a star product at £45 for a while last year.
H and B was also reduced to half price but sold out pretty quickly.

Addictedtobeauty · 07/08/2025 18:28

Phew! That’s an easy no from me but the box is gorgeous! Another brand with a somewhat loose definition of full size!

Thanks for sharing @JoRaRaRa .

Puravida23 · 07/08/2025 11:32

Good question @IlovePond . I have lots for various reasons.
Elle advent 2018 - My first beauty advent . I loved it at the time but just had a quick google and not sure if I would buy now
Flannels Advent 2022 when they reduced it to something like £117 Amazing bargain. loved it for the value for money
Latest in Beauty 2022 . Their first and by far their best advent. Full of full sizes and perfectly curated for me at the time
To be honest 2022 was the magic year for advents when a lot were reduced and there were bargains galore.

2022 was insane for advent calendars, I ended up with sooo many because I couldn’t resist the discounts! I got Selfridges half price, and a hefty discount off Harrods. Think I also picked up Space NK and Elle in the Black Friday sale. And this was all after I’d already bought my advent calendars for the year!

MidnightMeltdown · 07/08/2025 18:36

SoloCat · 07/08/2025 11:53

I remember the first Liberty ones back years ago. Absolutely loved them, very new and exciting. I had the Dyptique years ago too…that was gorgeous, but the amount of tiny candles 🙄
I had Space NK last year and it was really a great mix…lots of full sizes.

I think that they’ve somewhat lost that magic…now there are advents everywhere!
I still participate fully though, say I’m only going to buy one and end up with 4!

If Jo Malone do one with Scarlet Poppy in I may succumb this year 😁

I remember getting F&M and Cult Beauty the first year they came out. Cult Beauty was like the Harrods Fragrance of its time - it sold out within a couple hours and there was disappointment and tears 😂. It wasn’t even very good by todays standards, but I was so excited to get it!

owlexpress · 07/08/2025 18:36

I'd like a split between things I normally use (to make it good value) and new things to try. So:

Medik8 retinol
A glycolic acid
A Drunk Elephant moisturiser
Ultraviolette SPF
Supergoop SPF
Black gel eyeliner (sorry)
A bronzer
Dry shampoo or a shampoo and conditioner
Undereye patches

A hydrating serum
A non-balm cleanser
A candle (at least 140g)
A perfume or fragrance of some sort
A lip product
A highlighter
A blusher
Eyeshadow quad (not CT)
A fancy night cream
A face mask

And then some minis for travel - shampoo, exfoliator, cleaning balm, day cream.

Not asking for much Grin

owlexpress · 07/08/2025 18:44

Anthropologie a no for me too. A 27g candle, what is the point?!

I think I look back with rose tinted glasses, as you said they weren’t that generous really..,but it was all so pretty and new at the time. I think I also did something quite mad by even today’s standards and bought two Liberty adverts for myself one year! 😳

SoloCat · 07/08/2025 18:53

Advents obviously 🙄

Twinsandsome · 07/08/2025 19:14

Cult, liberty and Sephora all stock guerlain I would love them to include something from it.

Haha! Love this! Who could possibly make do with only one Liberty calendar?! 😂

Addictedtobeauty · 07/08/2025 20:22

Can anyone remember when The French Pharmacy advent came out last year? It was pretty much all skincare and so beautifully presented. I might be tempted by it this year.

MrsBnow12 · 07/08/2025 20:29

@AddictedtobeautyUsing the power of google it looks like 19 September for the French Pharmacy one.

TragicMuse · 07/08/2025 20:33

I am increasingly twitchy about ordering the Liberty if all the others are sub-standard! I wanted to hold out for another 2 BD deposits but I don’t want to risk missing it!

My next deposit is Monday, I think I’ll order it then! It will mean I have £200 BD which is decent.

Thanks- I googled the contents but didn’t think to look at the social media posts rather than the pharmacy. Doh!

Was that the one where they were all individually wrapped? If so, it looked gorgeous 🌸

Edited

I am starting to get twitchy too @TragicMuse ! Interesting how people’s opinions change as more AC contents revealed. I thought I’d order in October or November as I had an AC sitting in my cupboard from end of August last year! That’s a healthy balance, you should definitely go for it now. I don’t think it will sell out in pre-order window?
