Saw the first post today releasing contents and price so have started this thread. Let the spreadsheets commence.

I’ve called it S&B as there’s usually discussion of nice food, socks, jewellery and other item ACs as well.

@AddictedtobeautyUsing the power of google it looks like 19 September for the French Pharmacy one.

I've been thinking about the French Pharmacy one also.

Also remember last year thinking the Typology one looked interesting too.

I am increasingly twitchy about ordering the Liberty if all the others are sub-standard! I wanted to hold out for another 2 BD deposits but I don’t want to risk missing it!

My next deposit is Monday, I think I’ll order it then! It will mean I have £200 BD which is decent.

Edited

I'm feeling the same about the Harrods beauty one, I'm really having to stop myself from pre-ordering it before I've seen the rest. Not because I think it's fab, but for me it ticks more of the boxes then any of the others.

I think £200 is a decent amount to go towards it and you'll get the £25 off.

TragicMuse · 07/08/2025 22:08

Thanks @BakeOffRewatch and @JoRaRaRa - top enabling there! I’ll do it as soon as my next subs have gone through!

I remember this was popular last year. I think it went on offer at some point.

It did. I think I paid £40 for it. This was one that I gave to a small local charity I support for them to raffle. I normally buy three or four of the cheaper ones for this purpose. They go down a storm and the charity makes £200 to £300 per calendar so it’s a good way for them to raise much needed funds. I do the same with the beauty Easter eggs. They’re a really great fundraiser.

Was that the one where they were all individually wrapped? If so, it looked gorgeous 🌸

Yes, that was it- looked so charming.

HollyGolightly4 · 07/08/2025 22:33

Is there a boots beauty 'brands' one? I have a clutch of points to use, but Macmillan isn't inspiring!

I think Boots did several last year. The beauty one and a luxury No.7 one. Can’t remember what the others were.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 07/08/2025 23:24

I can't decide whether to get the Liberty A/C after my August BD payment (in 2 weeks) or hold my nerve till after the September payment has gone in as then the calendar is paid for.

I got the Boots Limited Edition one which was £99 and for that price point it was pretty good. Multi brand which I prefer. If you Google or look on YouTube you'll see the contents.

My ideal calendar would contain:
Skincare-cleanser, toner, serum, moisturiser, night cream, under eye cream and or patches, face mask, body scrub, body lotion.
Makeup- eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow palette (a quad would be fine), blusher, bronzer, highlighter lipstick, lip gloss, lip balm or setting s0ray
Haircare-shampoo and conditioner, hair mask, hair oil, scalp scrub.
I'd like one candle, some perfume and maybe a primer or hand cream.

I think lots of people missed out on the more affordable calendars such as ASOS, Lookfantastic, Beauty bay, Glossybox etc and will be looking earlier this time so I think they will sell out much more quickly.

MiaN · 08/08/2025 06:21

I bought Harvey Nichol's beuty advent with discount last year and some of the products didn't feel a fresh as they should. I had samme cleansing balm from two advents and the one in HN felt old. I would consider it discounted but not full price.

I am very tempted by the perfume advent

Georgieporgie29 · 08/08/2025 08:14

I was lucky enough to get one of the Harrods fragrance calendars on Monday, however, I have just checked my banking and the money that was pending to Harrods has disappeared and not deducted from my balance. Does this mean I’m part of this years Harrods mess up and I’m not getting my fragrance calendars after all?! 😭

Have you checked your order status? It's not working on the app but is via the website.

Doubleraspberry · 08/08/2025 08:29

Funny to see others getting twitchy about Liberty too. I really can’t afford it until September as I’ll still be paying £85 and August is so tight. But none of the others remotely appeal and Liberty genuinely does, so it’s a slam dunk for me.

Georgieporgie29 · 08/08/2025 08:29

@OvaHere thanks for that. I have just checked and it’s still showing as an order on my account so I’m not really sure what’s happening.

JustWhatIAlwaysWanted · 08/08/2025 08:45

I got DH to score them for me a few years ago. One negative point for any off putting items which were: black eyeliner, red lipstick, lashes, bronzer, lots of hair products as they don't suit my hair, and other obvious fillers like sponges, hair scrunchies, tweezers and the like.

Ideal items in a calendar for me: serums, eye makeup remover (why is this never included when eyeliner and mascara are ubiquitous?), perfume, lipstick but not red, nail colours but not red or glittery clichéd Christmas ones, and really nice skincare generally.

I have just checked my account and the money that was pending for the fragrance calendar has also disappeared. 🤔 There are also no orders showing when I log in and check my account but I got email confirmation of my order. Hope this isn’t a repeat of last year.

SoloCat · 08/08/2025 09:46

@Georgieporgie29 Mine is not showing in my bank transactions either, but is still showing on the normal Harrods site as pending orders.

pinkchampagne1 · 08/08/2025 09:47

Oh it is showing as processing when I clicked on the ‘check my order’ link from my order confirmation. Very odd

OvaHere · 08/08/2025 09:50

I paid via Paypal and it's still still showing in there. Order still looks normal on Harrods account.

Georgieporgie29 · 08/08/2025 09:52

It’s very strange isn’t it? I really hope it’s not going to be a mix up like last year 😬

pinkchampagne1 · 08/08/2025 09:54

It is saying I have no orders on the website but when I track it on there with the order code, it pops up and says it is processing. All a bit odd

As long as you get no cancelation/refund emails from them and the order shows as processing I would assume all is fine for the moment. After last year though it's not unreasonable to be twitchy!

pinkchampagne1 · 08/08/2025 10:21

Fingers crossed.🤞This is the first year I have managed to order one and after hearing about the mess up last year, I am a bit worried I won’t get it!
