I am not sure about HN’s calendars. The beauty one seems full of minis but it might look better when unboxed.
I am
starting to wonder if any of the beauty advents are going to wow me this year.

I see there are listings on Vinted of some of the individual perfumes from the fragrance advent. Someone is selling the Rude Oud for £150 and saying they cannot post until the end of August. 😬

In relation to the HN Fragrance I read on Facebook that AMEX has an offer for £30 back on £150 spend. This could be just Harvey Nichols in general rather than the AC specifically. I don't have AMEX so can't check the actual details.

@pinkchampagne1 that's optimistic of them to assume it will arrive in a timely manner. 😂

Liberty is the stand out for me so far

@OvaHereI have an Amex and checked the offer, it is £30 off a £150 and has to be used by 21 September which I think is before the fragrance advent launches but after the beauty one.

Nothing is standing out for me so far and am still considering a DIY one from boxes and edits etc although I am waiting for some of the others to reveal their contents before I decide.

I might be rather tired right now, but I genuinely thought that headband was a pastry and jam combo and I'd clicked on the food topic by mistake.

Not impressed with either of the HN calendars. Both full of minis. I’ve also ruled out Harrods, Selfridges and F&M. Quite relieved that I’m not tempted as it makes decision making easier and I definitely can’t justify 5 calendars this year!

For me, Liberty is still the best so far. Interested in seeing Space NK and Sephora. Maybe also JL and CB, although the CB teasers aren’t tempting me.

Thanks @OvaHere for the headband upload. I’ve never had the F&M and every year I think it’s the year to purchase, then it just doesn’t match up. I’m once again tempted, but am still interested in Liberty and what Space NK has to offer. The F&M box is so pretty though.
Let’s hope I don’t end up with 4 or 5 this year, as I’ve already ordered the Harrods one. 😃

Hi, I am very much enjoying the advent chat! I couldn’t bring myself to spend so much on the SpaceNK calendar last year and have been sort of regretting it since. I am waiting for this year’s offering with interest.

I love perfume, and would like a fragrance calendar but fear my tastes are too unsophisticated for me to benefit from one. Put it this way, I heartily dislike most of Penhaligon’s stuff, (although I do like Quercus), and Byredo products smell awful to me too!

So far I am tempted by the Neom calendar, (although I suspect it will be full of candles - which I absolutely don’t want), and the F&M looks quite good, (although that make up bag looks scary and wouldn’t be staying in my house!)

On a related note;

What were HN thinking when putting toothpaste in their calendar? (Perhaps envious of H&B’s runaway success every year and thinking it’s the toothpaste that clinches that??)

Re toothpaste, one of my first Liberty AC's had the Marvis licorice toothpaste in it. It's actually the AC discovery which I've repurchased the most often - actually I'm getting an urge to order some more now. 🤣🪥

Fair enough @Housewife2010 - I do like a bit of liquorice myself!

@IlovePond I regret not getting SpaceNK last year. It seems like it's been one of the best for at least a couple of years. Now I am geared up to buy it this will probably be the year they lose the plot and fill it with scrunchies and beauty blenders. 😂

Had an email from Cult Beauty saying I will get priority access on Wed 3rd September. Assume they sent this to everyone on the waitlist.

Strange. Just checked the time and it arrived at 11pm last night. I did just sign up to the wait list yesterday eve so maybe it was that?

Perhaps they looked at how many CB edits I've bought and decided this one will defo buy the calendar, put her on the list pronto. 😳

@OvaHere not yet for me. I got the full size GWP email from CB at 8am. What products were in your email? I was recommended a thigh anti friction stick balm, not sure if it’s personalised!

@BakeOffRewatch I posted in the Chat thread the gwp products I was shown. It wasn't the thigh rescue.

I never got that email either re cult beauty AC, I might sign up again to the wait list, just to make sure my name is definitely in the hat. I hope we get some more calendar reveals today. I was looking forward to the HN calendars but I feel disappointed 😕 Has anyone seen anymore unboxings? I've only seen Harrods so far.

I got this recommended to me too 🤣 but I am a mega babe, but not sure how CB would know that. I actually just put cheap aftersun at the tops of my thighs and that lasts all day or if I'm wearing a dress, I have some nude colour shorts that I wear so it's not needed anyway.

A load of more budget ones have arrived at Boots - Ted Baker, Soap & Glory, Nivea, Lynx, Bayliss & Harding, Yankee Candle and 17. The beauty detective site has listings for all of them.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of beauty detective. I like how she links things up so you can look at it on the website.

It's the unboxings I want to see now 🤣 I'm impatient. I've only seen Harrods unboxing so far and would like to see some of the others.

I think the only same brand advent calendar that I'd buy would be eve lom one but only if I could get it at a great price in the sale.
