Saw the first post today releasing contents and price so have started this thread. Let the spreadsheets commence.

Revolution Beauty £50 beautyadventcalendar.net/revolution-advent-calendar-2025/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DLQEY5ao22M

I’ve called it S&B as there’s usually discussion of nice food, socks, jewellery and other item ACs as well.

HN (beauty) is the first one I've seen this year that could tempt me, of those that have revealed the full list of contents. I'm usually not impressed with HN at all, so that's interesting especially since having compared the contents to 2024 it is fairly similar. I've had Space NK, F&M and JLP (among others) in the past, so perhaps I'm just needing a change. Anthropologie is another I'm interested in, although waiting to see what CB, Sephora, Space NK and JLP come out with.

Puravida23 · 06/08/2025 18:47

Liberty is shooting up my preferred list Harvey Nicks has not wowed me although the La mer and Le labo perfume are attractive . With 8 perfumes in Liberty I am now thinking of passing on the Harvey Nicks perfume too and maybe just getting this instead for my additional perfume hit as already have Harrods Fragrance

I'm not terribly impressed with the HN beauty calendar. A lot of small sizes, a few fillers (yes, I know there are 37 items but nobody really needs another scrunchie or hair clip) and DOD extorodanaire, the black eye liner.

Although it is the same price as last year.

In defence of the hair clip it looks like the same one that was in Harrods Hair and Body £99 calendar last year. It's actually a lovely good quality claw clip. I use it quite a lot. So if someone does like that sort of thing it's not a cheapie break in 5 mins clip.

AprilLady · 06/08/2025 18:57

Hmm, I quite like the look of the Harvey Nicks Beauty Advent calendar. With the exception of the Memo Marfa, probably has a better selection of perfumes/candles than the HN fragrance calendar. The new Le Labo Eucalyptus perfume is a big draw. Also a fan of the AB rich cream, and lots else I am likely to use in there, so it is a contender for me.

Fair point. I rarely use them and have somehow or other acquired loads of them.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 06/08/2025 19:08

A few people have mentioned anthroplogie. Have I missed a link to its contents?

The sizes in HN are all very small. There were 2 x 30ml ones last year - MAISON CRIVELLI Neroli Nasimba and ESCENTRIC MOLECULES Escentric 02. Two repeats from last year too (Verticaloud and Delina). And it's gone up in price.

Mind you, I still have loads left from last year so I don't know why I'm even looking. Thankfully, I'm not tempted.

I like the little sizes would rather lots of 10mls than less but bigger. If I love something and it runs out there's bound to be loads on vinted and ebay to get another

I’m feeling exactly the same as you, and I’ve been looking at it more closely. It’s the only one of the premium calendars that I’ve not completely discounted so far.

I do think that no one advent will fully please us all . That's why I'm always pleased with the not so £££ H and B and although I didn't buy it last year M and S . I'm hoping even though it's a lower price point ( with a certain £ spend ) that they might have upped their game this year ?
I also wanted to add if I may ? , that this thread isn't just for £££ advents, I for one really enjoy reading about £ to £££££ .

I prefer bigger so I can give things a decent try. We've only just got vinted in Ireland so buying extras hasn't been an option previously although I'll keep an eye out this year.

We're all so different in our preferences it really makes it impossible for them to create the perfect calendar 😁

I really regretted not picking up the M&S one last year. (Although it would have been in addition to the Harrods one). It was really good, I have thought that I might get it this year if it's as good.

I loved H&B last year. It hadn't been available in Ireland for a few years so I was delighted to see it back. Hopefully it will be available again this year.

I had M&S a few times but found it a bit samey so got fed up of it.

If you like H&B, you may also like Grüum. While I found the packaging a bit boring (all the products looked much the same and I'm obviously very shallow), the products themselves were excellent. I took a punt on it as they only revealed a few items in advance but was glad I did.

This is true. I bought a few lower price ones last year and some were great. Now I've tried a lot of stuff I'm less keen on mini sizes but they were perfect for exploration of skincare.

I remember the H&B being very popular too. Think a lot will get that one. I'm awaiting the Lookfantastic and Boots reveal as there's a good chance I'll pick one of those up alongside a pricier one.

Tbh I may end up not getting one of the big ones in the end. Who knows? The journey to deciding is a big part of the fun for me. 😃

Caramelandsalt · 06/08/2025 19:30

I think for me I do splash out on advents , perfume edits etc . Get discount on my JL one ( liberty beauty drop), however I don't tend to make many purchases throughout the year , mainly foundation if I do . . Some people pick up a cream or product each week with their shopping , so I figure I get the excitement and spend less !

owlexpress · 06/08/2025 19:41

@OchonAgusOchonOh

Not that I know of, I've just seen the teaser on https://beauty-detective.com/anthropologie-beauty-advent-calendar-2025/ . This year I've really cut down my beauty spend and I'm prioritising travel, so the price point of Anthropologie might tempt me for a little treat without spending hundreds. But it all depends what else is in there and what size etc.

Anthropologie Beauty Advent Calendar 2025

The waitlist for the Anthropologie Beauty Advent Calendar 2025 (worth £365) is open now. Priced at £98. The calendar contains 24 beauty products, 11 of which are full size. Launch date: September. Features favourites from Grown Alchemist, L'Occitane, W...

Ooh looks like there might be a few regulars on a Liberty opening thread. I’m just waiting for @AprilLady to decide and I’ll copy, previous years I’ve always thought that looks good! I can’t keep up with the thread, I’ve just received an email for Cult Beauty spoiler - has that been shared here yet? I can’t, or don’t know how, share the link as it goes straight to the app. Here’s photos.

Think I have the link: https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/c/advent-calendar/

I agree. I'll likely buy M&S this year ad my Autistic DD wears nothing but their black cap sleeved t shirts, so a few of those always takes me up to the spend limit. H&B I regretted not getting last year. I am categorically not buying anything spendy that has colour wow or Phillip Kingsley in it as I've had so many in beauty boxes and never use them. I should also stay away from Sol Janeiro stuff as I have lots of that to use up too.

Housewife2010 · 06/08/2025 20:02

Re the HN fragrance AC, two of the scents - Delina and Verticaloud were in last year's AC. Same sizes too.

OvaHere · 06/08/2025 20:04

@BakeOffRewatch I'm leaning back to Liberty too. Just need SpaceNK to get a move on with a reveal. I hope they don't do weeks of teasers.

BakeOffRewatch · 06/08/2025 20:09

@OvaHere I’m interested in Cult Beauty, Space NK and Vogue full reveal. Vogue will probably be too high a price point for me. If I accept that I’ll give the fragrance away, the Liberty wins on skincare for me. I don’t like chopping and changing with minis. I’m trying to use up a Barbara Sturm hyaluronic serum sample at the moment, no idea what edit it’s from, absolutely amazing, but I drop the fiddly tiny bottle on the floor every time! I’ve actually been thinking about holding onto Liberty Beauty Drop and getting the jewellery AC. Did anyone manage to get it in the sale last year? Christmas 2023 some people did, last year someone bought it half price from an acquaintance. Speaking of which, do any of us know anyone who has won a Liberty AC golden voucher?

OP posts:
psuedocream3 · 06/08/2025 20:23

So far the only definite for me is Harvey Nics fragrance.

SpaceNK was excellent last year, interested to see how they compare this year. Haven't seen anything regarding MAC yet, beauty bay and cult beauty were almost there so will look forward to seeing what they do.

Not that I would have ever bought it full price, I did enjoy the Liberty Jewellery advent too, just a shame it was only available in gold. If they do a silver one I may be tempted.

psuedocream3 · 06/08/2025 20:26

Just read back, @BakeOffRewatch that was me, I paid half price for the Liberty jewellery advent. I think it went down to £300ish on the website for a few hours before being put back up again but I'm not sure if anyone ordered.

Last year Oliver Bonas did £275 jewellery advent in gold and silver options, and another £150 one that was party earrings

Full contents of this are nice if you are looking for a real mix of products and not a lot of make up.

I was curious about the headband as it's not really visible in the photo. Found a link if anyone wants to have a look. Not totally sure it's the same one but assume it's very similar if not.
