Now that would've been a departure @Maireas! Her hat today is lovely and the perfect colour for summer.

😂
Yes, I like her hat game of late. I may start a campaign against oversized hairbands.

Oh I like Catherine's outfit. It's really well done IMO - a nod to 80s fashion without veering into pastiche, and subtle enough to be good as a standalone. Perfectly styled as always and the hat is fantastic. The colour is lovely too.

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 14/06/2025 12:01

See she hasn't done those pointy shoulders for a good while now (I guess because we haven't seen her all that much) so she gets a pass from me. There was a while a couple of years ago, maybe three, where there were way too many of those for my liking. Dipping in and out of extreme details with a good long break in between makes them much more palatable to me.

bizzey · 14/06/2025 12:01

Poor Camilla never has any luck with her hats on blowy days !

I thought she was saluting at the trips earlier, but then realised she was holding on to her hat !

I have seen her clutch her hat on other occasions s well .

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 14/06/2025 12:02

The Queen looks fab too. She almost always gives excellent hat and jewellery.

She does. I'm glad she's wearing the jewellery. It always looks great on her.

Not keen on that blue on either Kate or Charlotte. Sophie looks very wintery in that dark green.
Camilla looks good.

Was just coming on to post that the poor Queen is having g something of a wardrobe malfunction with her hat 😬

Camilla looks lovely

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 14/06/2025 12:10

Lovely that Catherine is there alongside the King and Queen. That's the first time isn't it?

Yes, I think so.

Hello 👋

Why can't Kate just be seen as wearing an outfit rather than 'paying tribute' to some dead relative. I have a black dress on today, my dad wore a black pair of shoes I'm donning an ASOS fit whilst paying tribute I guess.

Kate's outfit is I'm sorry awful.

No Catherine was on the saluting dais two years ago. That year Sophie Edinburgh got to look after the children upstairs.

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 14/06/2025 12:19

Ah thanks! As ever (side eye Wink ), I seem to really be losing my memory function!

Thanks for the correction 👍

KC's gloves are filthy !

How did that happen ?

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 14/06/2025 12:44

Possibly from holding on to the carriage? I saw him do that a few times.

Eaumyword · 14/06/2025 12:47

I always love how elegant Kate looks and my goodness, she can wear a hat well! This outfit is a little too 1980's for me.
She looks stunning normally and top marks for elegant poise, but its not my fave on her today.

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 14/06/2025 12:48

Yes Catherine's saving grace is that no matter what she wears she always looks poised, elegant and regal.

ImagineHarder · 14/06/2025 12:53

Catherine looks horribly prim and throwback-eighties. Camilla looks great, as does Sophie Wessex — that green is gorgeous. Yes, I also noticed Charles’s dirty glove. They should keep spares in a discreet pocket of the carriage.

PomeloOud · 14/06/2025 12:55

I don’t often like what she wears, but Sophie looks gorgeous today, as does Camilla. Camilla has really found what looks good on her.

Not keen on anything about Kate’s outfit. Too prissy and a nasty colour.

She does. I think she's one of nature's elegant creatures!

I did get the impression that Prince George is getting more self conscious. He looks very smart in a suit, I imagine he's the sort of child that his parents or nanny can say 'this is what you need to wear this morning' and he will accept it without a strop. With regards to the Princess of Wales, last year everyone was so relieved to see her on parade, this year I think you can see how much healthier she is.

themessygarden · 14/06/2025 13:23

The dress hangs beautifully on Catherine, I do think it would look far nicer without that single white lapel.

Those kids are tall.
