Lovely to see Daisy looking good.

Catherine has never been a great one for horsy events so no surprise really.

The weather is kind so far

RomainingCalm · 18/06/2025 16:07

A few initial pictures from Royal Ascot.

Loving Camilla in green and the hat is fab - it's a nice change for her. Less sure about Carole and Alizee Middleton's outfits - neither float my boat. I do like Sophie in the bolder patterned dress and the colour.

I loathe that shade of green I'm afraid.

Like Sophie's colours.

PomeloOud · 18/06/2025 16:12

Camilla looked stunning in the green.

Sophie dreadful in that flowery dress. I think flowery dresses are really hard to pull off actually. Kate nearly always wears a block of colour as it looks so much better in photos.

Carol’s outfit was a rare miss for her.

Maireas · 18/06/2025 16:12

The green is a departure for Camilla, but I rather like it. That looks like a good brooch and we can clearly see her Van Cleef and Arpels bracelet! I'm not a fan of the big flower prints, but Sophie actually looks good here. Carole and Alizee are certainly going for the summery vibe!

I think Carole tends to go for a cleaner silhouette and the lace looks a little fussy. I like both her and Alizee's hats.

Wills for the win for me. I don't like anything the others are wearing. Camilla's I could like bit I don't think the colour is right on her.

locketrocket · 18/06/2025 16:17

Camilla looks fab, and I think really suits the green.
Could quite like Sophie’s if it had a slightly lower neckline and not puffed sleeves.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 18/06/2025 16:19

Sophie's dress looks too big for her on top. I like the hat though and it's nice to see her out of pastels.

Maireas · 18/06/2025 16:19

I like Sophie's hat. We're getting some good hat action this year. Thank goodness that fad for thick hairbands seems to have died down.

It's a funny old fashion day. Zara's dress isn't one of her best in my opinion and I'd love to know what Princess Anne is saying in this picture. The Duchess of Gloucester is wearing a rather lovely hat though.

"ANOTHER new dress Soph? When I've been wearing this suit since 1984??"

justasking111 · 18/06/2025 16:38

The hats are stunning this year.

CurlewKate · 18/06/2025 16:40

The Queen wins again-except for the slightly odd crown to her hat. I am beginning to think that I don’t actually like prints. And I thought I did….

MrsLeonFarrell · 18/06/2025 16:50

I'm not a fan of an all lace dress except for brides. Zara and Sophie's dresses seem a bit big for them but otherwise I like them.

Eaumyword · 18/06/2025 16:52

Loads to see!
Not keen on Za's outfit today, but loved the pastel blue dress from the other day.
Fergie definitely needs to: buy for her size and put the legs away a bit. She could look fab, but there's usually something about her outfits that jar slightly.
I really like Sophie's dress, although agree that it looks a little large for her.
I like Cams in the green and Alizee's dress, looks quite boho chic.
Carole normally looks immaculate, but I'm not on board with this dress on her.
Agreed, @Maireas thank heavens the silly Tudor headbands have been put away! 😆

I’m sure my Nan had some bed sheets in the same pattern as Zara’s dress. Do not like the pattern at all, but does fit her well.

I'm sure my mum had a sofa made from the material in Zaras dress. I have a very similar patterned dress to Sophies, but without the neckline. Anne has definitely had that suit since the 60s.
As you say @RomainingCalm an odd day

Maireas · 18/06/2025 16:57

I'm not keen on Zara's dress today, both in terms of the print and the sleeve volume.
She's such an attractive person though because she's always so smiley!

I think Sophie looks great. Alizee clearly didnt read our earlier discussion re gingham!

PomeloOud · 18/06/2025 17:02

I think Sophie could take style tips from Camilla. They are both a similar shape and Camilla dresses to suit it.

Lunde · 18/06/2025 17:10

Princess Anne has been wearing that suit for almost 40 years - including trooping the colour 1987
