Yes she did !

Yes, I think a formal style befits this kind of occasion. The Trooping, the Commonwealth Service, events at the Abbey and St Paul's. I like a strong colour and silhouette, although some folks on here like Erdem! I liked Kate in the chartreuse Victoria Beckham trouser suit that she wore recently to a less formal event.

I do like the PofW’s hat. Love an under the brim flower!

Maireas · 15/06/2025 13:29

We could do with another wedding. The most royal - adjacent one coming up is Lady Marina Windsor, granddaughter of the Kents.

Older sister of the very popular Lady Amelia.

As I’ve said many times before, I’m no expert on style but I’ve not seen an outfit on any of them at an official event that didn’t look appropriate and “nice” .
and I must say the men also look appropriate and dashing , but then I do like a man in uniform 😳 , and red is my favourite colour 😁

Maireas · 15/06/2025 13:36

I think no-one on here professes to be an expert on style, Jeff, we're just interested and like discussing it. We do disagree on certain points, but it's always in good spirit, always about the clothing and never about the person. . I've actually learned a lot from some people on here who have some great points!

It has just occurred to me that dressing Charlotte in styles that are old fashioned and maybe a little young for her could be a deliberate choice for other reasons. We all know what social media and the tabloids are like with famous teen girls. If i were her parents I'd be trying to protect her from that sort of comment as long as possible.

My DIL dresses her girls like this for special occasions. They also wear Taylor swift. It depends on the occasion. Whether it be at church, or a party with mates.

But don't adults do the same dress appropriately for the occasion.

I love this photo of Camilla and her late father at her wedding to Charles that she has shared for Father’s Day 😍

You all seem like experts to me ! 🤣
but I do like reading all the comments from people with an eye for fashion.
and it’s refreshing to not discuss anything but the clothes!
I don’t normally comment because saying everything is “ nice” is not exactly very stimulating or interesting! 😁

Meant to say particularly because I love that coat 😆

Maireas · 15/06/2025 13:46

"Nice" is fine, Jeff! We also have thread mascots from Luxembourg, who are definitely due an appearance 😊! So we do go off piste, but in a friendly way.

I loved her outfit for the wedding much more my cup of tea than Diana's Uber creased merengue!

The head piece is beautiful.

PomeloOud · 15/06/2025 13:51

I really love Camilla’s wedding outfit in that pic. It was perfect for a second wedding at her age.

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 15/06/2025 13:54

Yes, she couldn't have done better IMO. Perfectly appropriate and very stylish. How distinguished and proud her father looks.

jeffgoldblum · 15/06/2025 13:54

I will say that picture of Camilla is one of my favourite royal looks , the colour and style of the outfit was a perfect fit for her and the feather? Headdress was absolutely gorgeous, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone suit that style so perfectly.

The head piece reminds me a bit of the ones that Catherine and Charlotte wore at the coronation (albeit they were on a smalller scale)

I assumed at the time that they a 'nod' a to Camilla's wedding outfit as the press would say.

justasking111 · 15/06/2025 13:57

I'm glad we've a wedding this summer.

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 15/06/2025 13:59

Ohhh I'm still so miffed that no one wore tiaras to the Coronation!!

(Catherine, if you're reading, please start working on William now to ensure he goes all out on jewellery policy for his big day! We want bling!!✨👑👑👑✨)

WorkingRoyalNotTwerkingRoyal · 15/06/2025 14:03

Yes it'll be nice to see a Royal Adjacent wedding.

I hope William has the wit to not have such an embarrassing and tone deaf display of obscene wealth, privilege and unrelateable nonsense.

He needs to look to Denmark for an example of how to do it.

HonoriaBulstrode · 15/06/2025 14:11

I rather like the royals dressed in a more paired down style , it differentiates them from celebrities.

it's a tricky balance. They're expected to look the part, and people are interested in what they wear, but also the events they attend are not about them and they mustn't attract too much atention. Yesterday was about the King and the troops participating.

I think since Catherine has become Princess of Wales her style on the very formal occasions is really dignified, appropriate to her age and rank.

Ohhh I'm still so miffed that no one wore tiaras to the Coronation!!

Yes, I was a bit disappointed, but can see why the decision was made - col crisis and all that. It's nice for the bling to get an airing, rather than being stuck in a vault somewhere!

CurlewKate · 15/06/2025 14:12

Camilla generally dresses so well. My favorite royal woman, I think.

I’m pretty sure a few of us would be willing to have our arms twisted to give the jewels an outing. As you say, it’s a tragedy for them just to languish in a vault…… 😆
