What item of clothing do you think is pointless and well, a bit strange?

For me it's the short sleaved coat. Don't see the point at all, not a body warmer and not a proper coat, you'd have to put leg warmers for arms on with it (if such a thing exists).

those silly little shrug/teeny tiny coat things, that only go halfway down your back. Ridiculous.

Those funny little short cardigan things that only cover your oxters. Weird!

OverMyDeadBody · 20/05/2008 09:50

cod nude bras are fine until you find yourself in a steamy situation with a fit guy and he's just pulled your top off!

peacelily · 20/05/2008 09:50

these
I saw a girl wearing hotpant style shorts teeny cropped vest these armwarmers in bright green and matching bright green shoes.
If her arms were cold why didn't she put on some other clothes!!!!!

OverMyDeadBody · 20/05/2008 09:51

sometimes though shorts look daft, only jeans will do. Especially if you've got less than perfect pins.

brimfull · 20/05/2008 09:51

thongs

body warmers actually-hideous things, nobody looks nice in them

Cappuccino · 20/05/2008 09:51

I do agree with mmj about sleeves however am wearing little shrug thing today

I don't get gilets. Padded ones. That are for keeping you warm. If my arms aren't warm, I'm not warm.

Also those ridiculous jumpers with no sleeves, there were lots the other year - polo necks, sleeveless polo necks. In chunky wool. If it's cold enough for chunky wool why wouldn't you want your arms covered up?

OverMyDeadBody · 20/05/2008 09:52

lol yes, whip it off as soon as possible, it just doesn't look as nice as, say, a black bra

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 20/05/2008 09:52

Have to agree on the short-sleeved jacket and they make me think of golf-club ladies with Tory wife hair, married to Freemasons .

They are farking ugly too.

Thongs. Uncomfortable and unattractive.

OverMyDeadBody · 20/05/2008 09:52

ggirl a thong is better than vpl with certaian trousers or skirts though, so vital wardrobe item

Mercy · 20/05/2008 09:52

I don't get high heels or bikinis (unless swimming)

Cappuccino · 20/05/2008 09:53

yes but a soiree where?

booge · 20/05/2008 09:53

Transparent things.

They don't keep you warm and you can see through them. That's not why I buy clothes!
