Is this nice, or tacky?

I can’t decide. I sort of love it, but also think it looks like something a toddler would wear. I’m 45.

It looks like an unfinished cushion cover my grandma would have loved.

@Eminybob certainly not toddler-is lol, never seen a young child wearing anything like this. I don’t hate it, can imagine it looking good at a festival or on a very sunny day as a little throw over with shorts maybe 🙂

I have several denim jackets and kind of get it. I'd get a charity shop denim jacket and do my own applique, saving about £95.

I love that! Denim jackets are my happy place and I don't give a monkeys about 'dated'. My caveat would be about sizing, the models one is too small for her.

I like it. I'm also tempted by their khaki cargo trousers with the embroidery but have so far resisted.

It’s not tacky. Not to everyone’s taste maybe but not tacky. I think it would look cool with the right outfit and on the sort of person who can carry it off. Only you know if you’re that sort of person!

Denim went out with B*witched - no matter how beautiful an appliqué. Buy something that is fully beautiful, not just with beautiful stuck on.

It reminds me of someone having a giant coloured tattoo on their back. If tattoos are your thing then I can see why it might appeal, but to me it’s tacky.

It looks quite short in the body, which might be fine if you are very short. I've found Joe Browns pretty crap in terms of material and longevity, so wouldn't pay £100 for that.
