The next thread, royal style mavens! The title suggestion was from our last thread. Mary of Teck was never knowingly underdressed or less than bejewelled!

Yes @Serenster that's exactly what I thought too!

A lovely detail from Daisy's party is that the decorative Easter eggs on the trees down the length of the table are all eggs she's painted over the years.

Choux · 24/04/2025 15:06

A little detail that I noticed was that Daisy has a little silver bell on the table next to her place setting for when she wants to summon ‘the help’.

Also I didn’t see any butter. Surely they have Lurpak or another Danish butter for everyone?

Maireas · 25/04/2025 06:55

I really liked the picture of Daisy with her birthday candles. I do hope she used one to light her ciggie 😉

Thanks Deftly a real treat. What a stylish queen.

Beatrice and Eugenie attend the opening of a steakhouse in Mayfair, and the Spencer sisters and mum Victoria attended the press night of The Great Gatsby in London.

The Spencer sisters look so chic and elegant, don't they? I love their outfits.

The Spencer sisters are very elegant indeed.

The York sisters would show up at the opening of an envelope, let alone a steakhouse!

Eaumyword · 25/04/2025 22:02

True, @KiIIingMeDeftly 😆
Beautiful photo of the Spencers. Agree they are stunning and stylish.

I think I've posted this before but here's Daisy through the years, complete with cig in hand!

I really enjoyed this retrospective even though I’ve seen it before. Love the captions on the Obama photos especially! Come back, indeed!

StartupRepair · 25/04/2025 22:21

Loved that Margarethe retrospective.

Oh my god, I was literally about to say the same...

Letizia's yesterday's outfit before travelling the Vatican.

I don't like most of the enormous wide pants I see today, they are shapeless and don't fit. I love the pants Letizia is wearing....as long as you have her body and posture.

Her hair is looking great as well

Maireas · 26/04/2025 07:26

Leti looks great, it's a simple, well propotioned outfit. Her makeup and hair are on point, as usual.

Such an attractive family, Jetsun is so elegant.

Choux · 26/04/2025 08:18

Leti gets bonus points for having the trousers slightly above floor length so you can see she does have feet. The contrasting jacket is a lovely style (reminiscent of the one Charlene wore the other day) and not matching the trousers gives it a fresher look with less of an excess of one fabric.

Mary wore some wide leg trousers the other day too. It seems to be the royal look of the year. (I am typing this while wearing skinnies 😂)

Eaumyword · 26/04/2025 09:05

Leti looks fabulous. She looks very tailored and smart.
Not sure which lady is which, but I love the half up hairstyle of the lady in profile in gold and red. What a serene, elegant look.

AllTangledUpInDaisiesAndDiadems · 26/04/2025 09:42

@Eaumyword that's Queen Jetsun. Beautiful, and as you said, serene and elegant. I love the traditional robes she wears, they are always absolutely gorgeous.

deeahgwitch · 26/04/2025 09:58

The Spencer sisters are so beautiful
just like their mother.
I loved her wedding dress - so ethereal. I know it was controversial at the time. Most commentators disliked it. It was very different.
It had a Guinevere vibe to it mixed with Romanoff.

I remember seeing photos of Victoria's dress in my mum's magazines - I think it was trimmed with fur? It definitely had a medieval vibe.

Maireas · 26/04/2025 10:25

It was champagne satin and trimmed with real fur. Unfortunately, it was a very wet day and the fur trim got wet and by all accounts didn't smell great.

Here's Max and family on King's Day. Not sure about the pockets on her dress - I think it would look better without. Amalia loves a caped dress, though the fit is slightly off in this one. I think Alexia wins it for me - that's something I'd wear myself! Her hair is glorious too.

Serenster · 26/04/2025 11:48

Alexia looks very Rizzo styled there - especially amongst her much more formal family! (She looks great, though, it’s just quite the contrast!)
