My engagement ring arrived this morning and I'm so in love with it, can I see yours?

@DutifulDaughterWifeMother - I went to the jewellery quarter in Birmingham a few years ago, but only to look round, (we are not local so couldn’t get repairs done there).

I tried to have my mangled and ruined ring transformed into a wearable pendant at a supposedly reputable jeweller in Hatton Garden but they made a mess of it too.

Tbf, the main problem was that they asked me to draw a picture of what I wanted and I can’t draw. The guy advising me said the jeweller would understand the general idea. Instead they copied my wonky drawing exactly, wobbly lines and all 🙈 I was genuinely lost for words when I collected it.

@tofuprincess - I would love to see a pic even if it's after you get it fixed. From what another PP said to me though, do make sure it's a decent place to fix it. Losing one of my stones is a worry of mine so hopefully not something I have to do.

Yes, I'm a goldsmith - they're soft and porous, so definitely need taking off if washing up etc. Had this conversation this morning with a customer, they need looking after

I got this replacement engagement ring (I lost my original one😔) for our 25th anniversary, and I love it.

The emerald was for our 35th anniversary

This is mine, it’s super sparkly and I still get loads of compliments on it, I absolutely love it! DH chose it and I chose a wedding ring that fits around it. It’s from a Disney range and has a tiny princess carriage on the sides of it, bit hard to show, in second photo.

My engagement ring is 60 years old and cost £32. It is my most treasured possession cos when I look at it I feel sweet 17 again!

Not my engagement ring. I'm divorced and sold them to a jewellers, and when I was in there I saw this little ring and treated myself. This ring is everything my wedding set was not (platinum, diamond) - I love the 18k yellow gold and the sapphire, I love the fact it's small.
I don't wear it enough as I need it making a bit bigger, but love it all the same - this is MY ring. 😊

Far worse stuff than exercising her right to her own personal identity and wearing (or not wearing) her own jewellery as she sees fit.

Sounds a real monster.
