Grey hair wobble

It's almost two years since I've dyed my hair. It was always a test to see if dyeing damage is why it's not growing well. The condition is definitely better than it was but not smooth like I'd hoped.

My daughter has said she doesn't like it. She is 7 so I'm not going to run and buy dye ASAP. However I've been having a wobble anyway so really stuck on what to do. My sister is a hairdresser and says some people are wanting to go grey early now and says my natural colour is lovely. My husband says I look great whatever colour is but I don't know if this is just because he's a nice guy 😂

I've been wearing some vintage style trousers and tops recently and feel like it doesn't work with grey hair and that's saddened me too. Should I be trying to wear modern styles to outweigh the grey hair.

I know it's my own decision but wondering anyway in late thirties in same boat?

Here's my hair

Beautiful, your bright lipstick and skin colour compliment it so well!

I don’t think I look 69 here. Nor have I let myself go.

You look great @greyrooted! Love your hair. You certainly don't look 59 or 69 as some people have said. Your skin looks great - you're glowing! To me you look younger than 49. As we get older l feel our natural grey compliments our skintone more than harsh dye. And it's all about how you wear it. Grey hair combined with drab clothes, no make up etc, of course you won't look your best. It's all about the overall picture, not just hair colour.

@PuzzleMix I agree, lots of factors make you look older/younger: posture, clothes, way you move, skin etc. Hair colour is only one factor in the whole picture.

I'm a young (early 40s) grey embracer! I think it probably does make people think you are older than you are, but not look older iykwim. I think a lot of artificial hair colour looks a bit shit. Brunette dye is either too warm or too flat, and that ubiquitous greige bob is a bit of a snore. So I'm stumped as to what we are supposed to do. I figure at least my natural colour won't look jarring or clash with my complexion, so I'm sticking with it.

I'd be willing to bet that the grey hair naysayers are a combination of
A young
B not grey
C blonde enough that grey doesn't register.

I'm a brunette with the start of grey temples and roots so none of those things. Don't really see the debate I mean grey hair is never going to look youthful is it but it can look great and each to their own?

@DreamloverTealover I'd recommend trying John Frieda Defy Grey shampoo. It tones down the grey but not as harsh on the hair as semi-permanent hair dye. My hair is in much better condition from using it.

Also Tan Luxe tanning drops, add one or two to your moisturiser. Gives your skin a mid-winter boost.

Regular cuts to keep a sharper shape.
