No/low buy 2025 shop from wardrobe

A new thread to share 'shopping from our wardrobes' so we realise we already have nice things to wear and don't need to buy anything else.

How are you all coping with the hot weather?
And more importantly what are you all wearing?
I've done some sales shopping with my Mum & promptly returned most of it. If I don't feel the urge to wear it within the first few days or it doesn't suit me I automatically return it. The one thing I have kept is a beautiful fringed suede jacket from And/Or. Which has prompted me to put some Autumnal outfits &:one summery one together with it. I know, I know I should still be enjoying summer... But I'm really loving Brown & Suede at the moment.

I disappeared from the thread, as to be honest, I failed miserably at not shopping 🤦🏼‍♀️
Plus June was a manic month, with the finale of getting married!

July, I set myself a challenge of logging my outfits and wearing old things from my wardrobe- to which I managed two days of logging. I have worn a few bits though, and a couple of days of hangover shorts and t-shirt. Must try harder!

Big fail here too. I’ve ordered some dresses and trousers from Tu, a denim skirt and top from Seasalt and some new walking trainers to replace my faithful old North Face Hedgehogs. I worked out that they are older than our dog and he is 10 next month. They are still very comfortable but leak a bit now.

We haven’t really had the hot weather down here in S. W. Wales but it’s going to be hot later this week so I’m looking forward a chance to wear sundresses etc.

Today I’m wearing a pair of Fatface denim dungarees and a blue and white Seasalt Breton and trainers. Comfy. I think I’d like some linen ones.

Still keeping on with my second hand or British made challenge this year.

I've started buying Autumn/ Winter stuff. I needed cardigans, so I've been on Vinted and got a glittery striped Olivia Rubin cardigan and a blue and white striped one from Slow Love.

Once we break up for summer I'm going to start logging clothes in earnest and sort out my wardrobes.

Congratulations with the wedding! What did you wear?

I'm wearing as little as possible as it's so hot. I'm not even looking at the summer sales as I feel like I have loads of clothes and a huge choice of things to wear in this weather. I'm basically cycling through my dresses and sometimes skirts/shorts.

We have a work summer party this week so might dress up a bit, but it doesn't need to be fancy, people don't dress up much for these kind of things. Plus I'll be in the office for the day first and want to be comfortable.

I bought a couple sweaters in the Hush sale😳That's enough now, I have no more room for any more. Have already bagged up some stuff for the next clothes swap. Think I've worn nearly all my summer dresses this year, bar one recently swapped one.

I've ordered quite a lot in the sales - Baukjen and White Stuff - and I've a basket at Me+Em which I'm tempted by. I suspect most will go back.

Currently wearing FatFace shorts, Seasalt sleeveless top and Craghoppers fleece jumper.

@Cantonet a one shoulder dress with an embellished cape thing attached- I'd add a pic, but the ones I have are on my social media so it would link here straight to real life if anyone saw it! When I get some pics back from the photographer I'll try to remember to put one up...it was this dress, but with the skirt slimmed out and used to make a cape for the shoulder

It's just starting to get warmer & sunnier here in rural west Mids. @Netcam i'm also not looking at the sales any more. I have enough! I've returned all of my Zara & Mango order. Plus, I'm about to return two pairs of shoes from Tk Maxx. They're nice but I don't need them. I did want to return a dress to New Look, but sadly can't find the receipt. However it was only £17 in the sale & is in pure cotton gingham. It will actually be quite a nice dress when I chop all the fussy ties off. I will refashion it into a v neck instead. I have also kept today's outfit - a paler denim maxi skirt from Primark. I have the darker denim version & find it really easy to wear.

I love the the black & ecru shorts outfit & the Zara jacket. I have one that's very similar from Uniqlo.

Another cute outfit you have going on today. I'm sat in shorts and t-shirt again, nothing inspiring. Well done on the returns!

I'm going to see alanis morrisette in London in a couple of weeks, need to choose an outfit for that, and for a few nights away in San Sebastian in August

@Cyclingmummy1i also love Me & Em clothes. But I think I've already substituted their cheesecloth styles with other cheaper brands like Uniqlo & M&S☺️ Plus a lot of their dresses have shoulder details that are great for pear shapes, not so much my swimmers shoulders.

It's a dress I particularly like @cantonet

I'll wait a few days and see if it still appeals.

If I had somewhere smart to go to I would buy the silk mix orange ruched sundress.

I've forgotten what high summer tops i've got. Some were bought in the sales last year & never worn. So I've gathered them all together on Whering as pictured. I was looking for a blue top to wear with my Indigo crinkle cotton skirt.

Summer tops is one of the (very few) areas I'm lacking. I don't like strappy tops on me, racerback style suits me better, but they tend to be very casual- vests, rather than tops. I have plenty of t-shirts. I suit khaki, magenta/ fuchsia pink, red, blues, turquoise- anyone seen anything nice?

I don't think I've been clear enough, Im good with showing collarbone, but I'm not good with showing chest, as I don't have the cleavage I would like! And I could do with smart casual/ smart tops- dinner out or drinks kind of level. Definitely more of a high street price bracket.

Most of the Baukjen order is going back so I can have the Me+Em dress instead 😆
