Toasties - still loving the knitwear and the chat!

I have set up a new Toastie thread, guys.

I ordered the solovair black lace up shoes, the green cord dungarees and the yellow knitted waistcoat. They are all lovely and I am definitely keeping the shoes. I am sending back the waistcoat as I know I won't wear it. Still undecided on the dungarees. They are a perfect fit (size 14 and I am 5'8"). I have a very long body so thought they wouldn't.

The thing that is making me unsure is that I wanted them for winter and although I have a cream shirt to go with it it's hard to style a jumper or cardigan. I don't really like jumpers under dungarees because I need a collar to look good and it's too bulky wearing a shirt and jumper. It's the kind of green that is difficult to pair with other greens in my wardrobe and so far only cream and navy work with them.

Anyone else found a solution to the warmth problem and/or the colour problem?

@Owly11 I rushed to look up long-bodied dungarees, but that is an exceptionally yellow green which I personally would cast out of the pantheon of glorious greenness! Browns perhaps? Mossy greens too. Bronze and brass colours?

Thank you for replying. I have a brown toast cardigan but it doesn’t quite work. I have abandoned the idea of green as I really do have almost every shade of green known to humankind in my wardrobe! I think bronze and brass would work really well. I have a mustard jumper that almost does the trick. I hate holding onto things when I don’t have a good match already as it feels a risk!!

@Owly11 I got the Brown Slate aka Black cord dungarees in the sale , I’m currently wearing them with Uniglo ribbed merino polo necks , the back cream stripey one especially . They’re warm and thinnish.
I love that greenish colour , a bit like the cord Annie trousers from this season which I’ve worn with rust, green , very dark brown etc.

I am away at the moment but keeping one eye firmly on this chat/the sale page in case anything interesting pops up. As you might remember, I usually do pretty well with the sale but this time I have just bought the blue batik culottes and a couple of pairs of socks.

Sorry I meant to add that I am somewhere that is currently between 25 and 30 degrees so the culottes have come with me and I wore them on New Year's Eve - they are fabulous!

Thank you that’s a good shout I will check out Uniqlo. I was thinking of getting the brown but don’t think they had my size when I looked - definitely easier to wear and more slimming!

@AFingerofFudge jealous of your holiday! Those culottes look great, is it a fixed waist?

First time ever posting but need to share. I was in Brighton shop the other day and there were definitely hints that more was going to be added to the sale. I did however succumb to the beautifully light weight fair isle jumper, which is now sitting on a chair in my Berlin flat, waiting to be unwrapped ceremonially!

Think some new things have been added. I just ordered the cosmic print dress. That wasn't in the sale before was it?

If I search 'all sale' the cosmic items don't come up, only if I specifically search for them. What else am I missing?!

I have ordered the sun and moon shirt which seems a bargain.

The cosmic dot print dress isn't there anymore despite me ordering it. They must be adding things just now. Think you are right.

I’m hopeless that’s the wrong one. But the sun and moon dress has appeared who has bought it? Someone bought full price.

I've just managed to grab two olive Freya dresses at sale price but the rust one disappeared too quickly.

The black v neck crinkle hasn't been reduced yet but I'll keep my eye on it.

I’ve just ordered the sun and moon dress, I went large according to the reviews, hopefully not a mistake! I figured the tie waist allowed for some leyway. Also ordered the silk spun yellowy shirt! Still really expensive but the reviews are glowing.

@OftenOrange those Uniqlo ribbed polonecks are great, aren't they? I have 3 in different colours.
