I couldn't see a new thread so I'm starting one!

4160T's Shadowed Veil today. Actively not liking this one - from the description it should be a fougere, it's supposed to evoke forest bathing. In the bottle it smells like a fougere but on me it has a nasty, faintly sweetish fecal/vomit note which makes me wonder how many foxes have also been "forest bathing" in the vicinity.

Shadowed veil and loving it @Magpiecomplex! There was a weird undertone in the opening but for me it was more coriander than fox. Pine has given way to a deep earthy vetiver. Not evoking forest bathing but that’s fine.

SOTD is Vanilla Nomad by Sana Jardin. I should love this because it lists vanilla & sandalwood as the base notes. I like it, just not love. Maybe a bit boring. Great projection at the moment, like I’m in a little scent bubble.

So the dry down is now extremely similar to Sandalwood Temple which I do love.

I am wearing Bal D'afrique today, interview day and I needed something that feels fresh and clean. I love it, I have to say it's my favourite perfume. Every time I sniff it from my top I think I smell great :)

Good, that is one of the few from Sana Jardin that I liked/got on with. At first it smelled a bit medicinal, reminded me of those Ricola cough sweets, but then it settles down. I didn't like the Ricola effect at first but like many scents sometimes you have to get used to them a bit!

Good luck for interview - maybe it can be your lucky perfume?

i got the sample from Jovoy with a few others. Their pink me up is lovely as well. But too similar to rouge trafalgar, and I have a big bottle of that.

Wearing Orpheon today. I really like this one. A bit peppery. A bit sweet but creamy and smooth. Really enjoying it

SOTD is Purple Fig - Vilhelm. It’s fresh fruity and lasts well but after I sprayed it it felt too much like a spring perfume which didn’t match my snowed in log burner on with hot cups of tea mood 🤣🙈

@hughiedoesntfight how long did it last once you had put it on? I’ve been debating buying it after I sniffed and loved it in SpaceNK.

We seem to have opposing tastes, @SabrinaPrune! I'll be very happy to let you have the remainder of Veil, it's still smelling nasty on me now, and I'll be glad to wash it off tonight.

Really like it, cherry sweet with a bit of depth to it. Loving this house.

Bianco latte today. Upon first spritz it's like straight up hand sanitizer but after a minute it develops into a toasty marshmallow. I like!

Popped Halfeti on to the vanilla-y dry down of Vanilla Nomad for this evening. It’s lovely

Sotd is bdk saint-honore. Sweet and spicy. Confession: I may have bought the bdk discovery set

Also re tried the commodity milk bold and I like it a lot more second time round. Definitely a grower. Strange how this can happen with scents. If I'd just tested it in the shop I probably would have written it off as dodnt like it at first but now I'm appreciating it a lot more

SOTD Sana Jardin Berber Blonde today. Very nice indeed but too similar to Penhaligons Castile, which I already have a bottle of, to be worth buying.

I would say 4-5 hours. I sprayed about 6 sprays and people could smell it at work. For the first couple of hours.

I am picking up the full size next week. I am going perfume shopping in London. Not sure whether to just pick up in harrods or to go to a diptyque store.

Can I ask for those who are from go to London a lot. Would you go to harrods (6th floor) or are the individual store better?

Milk bold was a grower on me as well. Not fussed at first. Second test I enjoyed. Then I got the 10ml. Then loved it so much got a big one.

It is strange how that happens

although I like the scent now, annoyingly it is a bit headache inducing if I over do it. I have heard this from reviews. Must be the fire/spice element! Wonder if the expressive would be the same.
