* Please avoid dropping hints or spoilers about future contents if you have opened the calendar in advance. * (Edited at request of the OP by MNHQ)

It is one sleep away! We’ve all been very patient, since Liberty London revealed their advent calendar in June this year.

Reveals from 7am GMT each morning please. This is to harmonise discussion/shift work/different time zones.

Really enjoying following this daily as a 1st time Liberty AC buyer.
So far I've been pretty happy and I have lots of products I never would have bought for myself to try in the coming year or to gift to my daughters...
Does anyone have any inventive uses for their AC afterwards? I love it and it seems to nice to chuck out.

One of mine houses a crystal collection. Not ideal but prettier that a plastic set of drawers

Chickydoo · 15/12/2024 06:36

Early start at work today...Love this morning's offering, yes it's in a calendar almost every year, I don't care, works for me :)

giadaros · 15/12/2024 06:40

I think I might skip next year. I'm finding it quite repetitive.

secretbumworms · 15/12/2024 07:17

Happy with today's as I was getting low on face cream.

Un4732 · 15/12/2024 08:32

Oh I love today!!! (I didn't get face cream though).

Interesting to hear its repetitive. As my first beauty calendar ever, I couldn't be more delighted so far.

Was even thinking of the Beauty Drop subscription as that makes complete sense to essentially get this paid for plus a few additional boxes across the year?

countdowntonap · 15/12/2024 08:37

Glad to see the return of Augustinus Bader!

nearly61 · 15/12/2024 08:39

Ah very happy today -I actually bought the calendar because it had the rich cream in it. I love this, it is perfect for my skin in winter. I know it is a bit of a Marmite product though.
@Un4732 yes that's my thinking re the beauty drop box -benefits like free post and a little discount but really handy for me to save through the year for a 'free' luxury calendar. Win win!

allmybooksarefromthelibrary · 15/12/2024 08:50

I'm pleased with today's as well - perfect in cold weather and I find it really soothing as well. Yes, it may be a repeat, but it is a great product for me and one I would never buy myself.

That's what I thought. Why does it feel "free" 🤣

Are the BD boxes worthwhile?

I definitely got the wrong item in my AC today but I don't care. I love it. No spoilers here though.

nearly61 · 15/12/2024 10:33

Oh definitely worth it as far as I’m concerned- I love the anticipation and the discussion about the contents plus I’ve found a few real winners in the boxes

Wherethewildthingsfart · 15/12/2024 10:51

I’m another Augustinus Bader fan.

Bumblebeehum · 15/12/2024 11:01

I've never learned to love AB cream, I think possibly the price puts me off (so I don't allow myself to like it)

AnnieFrancais · 15/12/2024 13:11

Im so jealous of you all in the UK! The Beauty drop sounds brilliant and the AC is then free: Its only available in the UK though 😫

Peridot1 · 15/12/2024 13:21

I’m happy with the AB cream today too. Like others I find it great in this weather but wouldn’t actually buy it myself.

I did the Beauty Drop for about 18 months or so purely to save for the AC. I loved getting the boxes every few months. I cancelled my BD when I knew I had enough saved for this year’s AC and I’m still saving that amount into a bank account to put towards another AC next year as I didn’t necessarily want to be tied to Liberty again. But it is a great deal. Even with the £5 a month service charge really.

Isabelle70 · 15/12/2024 15:51

@AnnieFrancais can you use a mail forwarder? They won't ship to me in Guernsey but I did use a forwarder to receive the Beauty Drop for just under 2 years. Adds an extra cost but I was happen to pay that at the time. I also had to use the mail forwarder for the advent calendar that I used my BD credit with.

lostonadustyrock · 15/12/2024 16:24

Been away for the weekend and just got back to whip the two missed drawers open!

When I saw the Paula’s choice I was a bit ‘meh’ because I don’t get through that many products with actives. I think it’ll wait until I’ve used up the ones I already have opened. Haven’t used PC before so I’ll be interested.

Today’s AB cream will be my go-to for our trips to the mountains. It was our first this weekend and my skin is not happy at all about the cold/warm/cold/open fires/snow situation. Augustinius (spelling?!) may be my saviour as my usual rich moisturiser is down to the dregs.

BakeOffRewatch · 15/12/2024 20:54

Day 15! 10 days until Christmas Glitterball

Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream 15ml FULL SIZE
Value £74 / £72.50 (£145 for 30ml) / £69 (£230 for 50ml) / £62.25 (£415 for 100ml)

Liberty don’t sell the 15ml size, though other places do. I agree it’s then a stretch for them to bill it as full size.

This is my first AB product and I’m excited to see if I join the despairing camp or the camp that love it! I feel like a proper Beauty AC graduate receiving this finally. AB were the storyline in one of the Emily In Paris episodes this summer, “‘Shining Through’ - their latest innovation in the show - is a hair treatment for women of a certain age who want to embrace authenticity, attitude, and grey hair. Emily pitches an unconventional vignette of the customer as a mature woman who ‘embraces the grey area’ by being open to new kinds of relationships and experiences, finding her glow in the process.”. https://augustinusbader.com/uk/en/evidence/augustinus-bader-features-in-season-four-part-one-of-emily-in-paris

That’s all the relevant stuff I have to share today sorry GinXmas Smile

I was delighted to get today's cream! I think it was Christmas Eve or Christmas Day drawer a couple of years ago and my face loves it!

Chickydoo · 16/12/2024 07:35

Love today's. It's perfect for me and will get lots of use over Christmas

imp2007 · 16/12/2024 08:14

Really happy with todays i'd been hoping for something festive like a sparkly eyeshadow and this is perfect! Can't wait to try it out. Also very happy with yesterdays I know it's a bit of an AC favourite but it's very luxurious and not something I'd buy myself and perfect t for winter skin. Two good days for me 🥰

Peridot1 · 16/12/2024 08:22

Not wowed by today’s. I have one of the Lisa Eldridge eyeshadows in a more neutral colour and I’m not keen. I find it quite messy to use. I’ll try again before I try the one from today.

nearly61 · 16/12/2024 08:33

Love the look of the eyeshadow but can anyone who has tried it before tell me if it will just enhance the fine lines on my eyelids, which is what I am concerned about? I'll give it as an extra Christmas gift if that's the case so don't want to have opened it.
I love the look of the colour online though -really hope another older soul can advise!

Lookwhoseinsideagain · 16/12/2024 08:49

I got this in an earlier drawer (got the bibbi perfume today).
I was unsure about the colour and texture to begin, but I don't find it settles into creases etc.

I apply a thin layer over the lid, then blend out with a fluffy brush. It blends fine for me, doesn't need to be set with a powder etc.

I was a little concerned that the colour was a bit dark, but blended out it looks good on my complexion (very fair, blue eyes, pink undertones and dark circles!)

PacificState · 16/12/2024 09:04

I’d never usually use glitter but it makes me happy at this time of year. The very first Liberty AC I got, nine years ago I think, had the most fantastic little pot of gold glitter. Not subtle, but perfect for the days around Christmas and NYE. I still have it.

I never use eyeshadows but have tried the Lisa Eldridge on my cheekbones - it blends out very nicely. (I have slightly tan skin so the brown background works quite well).

BakeOffRewatch · 16/12/2024 10:19

Day 16! Liberty have opened up the “Register your interest” link for the 2025 calendar! https://www.libertylondon.com/uk/features/beauty/beauty-advent-calendar

Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex Eyeshadow in Emily 2.8ml FULL SIZE
Value £21

I am a big fan of Lisa Eldridge, have been following her for years, I think over 10 years now! I follow her on social media and love that she focuses on easy effortless looks. I am always recommending her massage video on here. Her voice is so therapeutic. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CdkgqXBXprY And yes the video is from ten years ago, oh no!

This one is a warm gold shimmer. I can’t wait to use it. I have the eyeshadow palette in Cinnabar not tried the liquid yet. The tutorial is 3 years old and here. I haven’t watched it yet though.

We’ve had a good run of make up for the festive season. Eyeliner, blush, lipstick and glittery eye shadow. I do wish they’d come earlier in the month especially this glittery eye shadow.
