We still have 2 months to go so there's still time for dilemmas, decisions and discounts.

We have a few coming out this week including John Lewis, OK and No7. I'm still WAC (without advent calendar) but that may soon change!

Does anyone know what the beauty concierge card is in the selfridge ac? Thanks

I'm picking my calendar up tomorrow from my local selfridges and will unbox straight away, so I'll update on here.

Selfridges one looks good except for Crivelli Oud Stallion which literally smells like dead horse 🤢. I had 5mls and after trying sold in on eBay, it went immediately for a good price so must be popular.

Is that why it's called Stallion?

I think it’s meant to be reminiscent of stirrups, leather but the oud was meaty somehow. In fairness I’ve never smelled a dead horse.

In particular I rate the Feather Canyon and System D - both for eyes -

They also do a lovely Rosehip cleansing oil and face oil

Their boosters are good - just add a few drops to your day or night cream as appropriate ... the Retinal (not Retinol) is very gentle

So has Selfridges Advent sold out , literally hours after release? Surely not. They must have had tiny numbers of them . Was it that good ?
At this rate there will be nothing left by the end of October

With John Lewis ( gift box/ sets) and Selfridges selling out today and perfume shop AC yesterday it's been quite the week for it.

I don't remember things selling out so fast last year.

I've got a Holland and Barrett advent calendar, and generally like their one. Just seen gruum advertised... anyone (who likes h&b one) got any reviews on this year's or previous year's gruum advent calendar?

I remember the Selfridges advent appearing to sell out immediately last year and then it was available again.
I didn’t think it was as good as last year.
Can’t believe JL has sold out less than 2 weeks after it was released. All the advents seem to be selling out much earlier this year.

Wow, only just saw the email releasing Selfridges and it's gone already! Saves me money I suppose.

Ok all is not lost who is buying M&S next week?
I am a no at the moment but I think I may start filling a basket just incase I decide to switch to a yes!

Yes @tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz Good Genes is the one I have been totally blown away by, have stock piled it as now live in fear of running out!

And double yes to Moon Carnival. It was sold out at Liberty after they sent the tester in the beauty box. I ended up importing it from the US at ludicrous cost as I could not live without it.

I keep saying no to the M&S calendar, but I might crack!

In the meantime, I have just put my Xmas cake in the oven and am feeling quite virtuous as I didn’t even consider the JL BB or Selfridges this morning 😹

Not advent but went to check out the J L box and noticed that the minimum spend for £5 off for 5 empties is £50. Did it not used to be £20?

I seem to remember that for the last two years Selfridges went in and out of stock a few times before finally selling out - so I’d be surprised if it doesn’t come back into stock at some point. I don’t think it is a good as last year’s, and that didn’t sell out as quickly.

I did pop in to Harvey Nicks in the end. Lots of the beauty calendars out on sale, and contents actually look really decent close up, but I resisted. Fragrance calendar not yet on sale - shop assistant claimed it would be released in store on the 23rd.

Ha! I imagine I'll be like Mother Gothel and the yellow flower if I run out without my next bottle on standby

@AprilLady I'm not sure they know what they're doing in Harvey Nichols - they told me it was positively going on sale on the 14th last week.

I'm expecting the HN beauty calendar to be one that gets discounted -maybe for Black Friday. I was in store the other weekend and they were everywhere even in the kitchenware dept. They'll start shifting a bit as others sell out but I don't think they've wowed anyone this year.

The John Lewis calendar is on for £340!
