We still have 2 months to go so there's still time for dilemmas, decisions and discounts.

We have a few coming out this week including John Lewis, OK and No7. I'm still WAC (without advent calendar) but that may soon change!

I wouldn't rely on the currency meaning you don't have to pay taxes. Some sites show currency to me on € but I still can end up having to pay taxes.

Disclaimer - I have no idea about anthropologie.

Anthropologie is a UK company delivering within the UK so no customs involved. The tax warning is because they deliver worldwide.

LF Beauty Vault is available at moment with 21% off with the code BDLF if anyone is looking for an alternative to an advent .It brings it down to £118 which I think is still quite expensive compared with say it's own advent which is only £100 but could be good if you use the products already

SpaceNK are having a mare aren’t they 🙈 they take a long time to deliver to Ireland as well - I ordered Sept 26th and only got my package yesterday Oct 7th! - and they annoyingly won’t post me any fragrances etc. But a glass bottle of ILIA face milk thrown into cardboard is ok?!

Right there with you!! I'd think it was a PR stunt if they hadn't already monumentally screwed up the beauty AC. This just makes you wonder what the hell their logistics team are doing!

Strangely the picture (and intro blurb) have Diptyque but the list doesn't mention it. Hopefully just an oversight as I love Diptyque!

My jl arrived damaged and it's been quite stressful, I told my disabled tween that they could get me it for my birthday and now it's caused upset. So now I'm desperately searching for an advent calendar but none are appealing to me, I wanted jl for the lip balm and aromatherapy associates, i think that product is featured in a lot of calendars this year. I'm wondering if I should suggest a make your own but I don't know what products to suggest.

Oh no, that’s not good that your JL calendar arrived damaged. Was it the box or the products?

@Monpetitchoumonpetitepois - I suggest getting onto JL CS and asking them to arrange a swap - there’s no excuse for sending out a faulty product anyway, but especially not at that price!

I was quite restrained and just bought a lipstick from Perricone MD for under £7 and some pomade that younger DS seems to like, which was massively reduced.

That's a shame. Would you be interested in the OK one? It's not quite as good, but it is half the price, and has a full size AA bath oil and a very decent range of products.

Can't you get in touch with JL and ask them to replace it?

It's the box that's damaged, I've not bothered looking inside as I knew it would be going back to jl.
I have contacted jl and there's been lots of small issues but long story short it's now sorted, being returned for a refund.
The lip balm was elizabeth arden, I've not seen it in any other calendar.
Yes the ok beauty does have the aa but there's so many small sizes and dod products.
I'm really struggling to find a calendar this year. I had the vogue last year and I think that spoiled me. I am thinking of suggesting a make your own, using last year's vogue box

If the contents in JL are okay (and you've not sent it back yet), could you get someone to move the contents into last year's Vogue? Ideally with a discount from JL for your trouble.

Otherwise, Sephora also has an AA oil, and F&M has two AA products. The Elizabeth Arden lip balm is only £22, you could just buy that. I wouldn't make that product the deciding factor.

@Monpetitchoumonpetitepois the lip balm is reduced on Amazon at the moment and the AA bath oil is in loads of advents so you can probably pick it up cheap on Vinted/ebay if that is the main reason you got the advent

I've looked at the sephora and you're right about the lip balm

Amazon Prime day has some good money off deals on perfume.

For example, there was a Diesel one with 50% off and there are good reductions on Elizabeth Arden.

I also noticed that there was between 15-17% off the Merchant of Venice perfumes

Space NK are playing a risky game as they could lose out to HN when their Fragrance AC is released next week

I've twice now had emails from Cult Beauty to say the Advent Calendar (with scents) is back in stock. Both times I've checked 30 mins later and it's sold out again. Grr.
