I also ordered the calendar from Space NK on September 10th.
I got this email from them on Friday evening:

Your Advent Calendar has been a tiny bit held up

“
Hi

We wanted to let you know that your advent calendar will be dispatched a little later than we first thought. We are working hard to get it to you as soon as possible, but it might take an extra week before it arrives with you.

We promise it is worth the wait!”

I also received a message back from an agent when I questioned the delay, (this was before I received the email) and she reassured me that my order is in their warehouse awaiting dispatch, but there has been a delay.

Sounds promising, but I’m still a bit a bit nervous about it. I have had beauty gifts cancelled before from both Boots and Flannels. One was a cracker and the other was a big beauty box gift set, so I usually don’t rest until I receive the item.

Space NK makes me particularly twitchy though because it’s such a huge amount of money to part with. I would expect the item to be dispatched on the date or close to it, that the original order stated.

Maybe I should find one of them in a calendar and use them as an anchor product to force myself to buy it?

I've definitely used this approach with both my ACs this year.

Elemis Papaya Enzyme peel in the Next and Olverum bath oil in the JL were my anchor products!!

Boots Macmillan and H&B have both arrived 😁...

Not gonna lie ...I am actually feeling a bit overwhelmed with the size of them 🤣🤣..

The H&B one is really heavy !

The Macmillan one has a list of contents on the bottom of the box , can't see any list of contents for the H &B one .

My plan was to split up and divide into presents ..and keep if course !

But I might start Advent today and open a box at a time to get the same feeling of an Advent calender 🤣🤣!

@Saltybee - even if something was missing from H&B calendar, I am reasonably sure CS would sort it. I had an item missing once- I only discovered it on the day in December and H&B refunded me the cost of the product.

I had also a problem with an online order of an a/c during lockdown and H&B customer services were brilliant.

I went into SpaceNK to see if the calendars were available in store. They had one open behind the counter. However, I left without asking if they were selling any in store as the assistant was ignoring me 🙀

Another recommendation here for Good Genes. I re-bought that and also the Olverum bath oil to get the recent Liberty GWP.

I love the term "anchor product" too - if I saw that Venn All In One Concentrate again in any advent/kit I'd definitely buy it immediately.

The Space NK website lets you search stock in store. Some stores are showing stock, e.g. Covent garden

Right, my new approach suggests that I should buy Liberty. There's nothing in there I really don't like - black eyeliner can be gifted. But it's £260. Or I could get Good Genes/ask for it for Christmas, and buy this:

A few years ago I had a short subscription to stationery sets each month but I can't remember the name of the company now.

Actually I've found it, it was Papergang.

I got a response from Space NK but it seemed a bit generic and answered some questions I hadn't asked, so I'm assuming they've had a lot of emails about this. They said the date for dispatch relates to new orders and they are 'confident' I will receive my purchase. Which ironically does not fill me with confidence.

Yeah they should be so confident they don't even have to say it!

My SpaceNK account was saying 4th Oct expected dispatch but now that's disappeared. I'm thinking I won't be getting it at all!

Oh so has mine, I wonder if it's because they've had queries. It's still showing as 4th October on the main order page and is available to order so fingers crossed..?

Exactly @IDontHateRainbows ! I usually use Space NK over the others, but if I have a bad experience here I expect I'll choose Sephora or CB going forward (not just for advents, for all beauty).

My SpaceNK said 4th October this morning after the email saying delayed a week, but now says dispatched when I log in so hopefully that means they are sending them all out now

I am still lusting after 2023’s Vogue 😂now that was luxurious and worth waiting for.
