I can only assume Johnny Boden has recently watched The Producers and is trying to get rich by producing a business-ending flop.

Just awful.

What particularly annoys / angers me about Boden though is the sheer volume of pieces they produce. So incredibly unsustainable and terrible for the environment. A quick search on their website shows they currently have 225 dresses, 306 tops, 73 different types of trousers and even 79 different types of jacket. They just do not need to offer anywhere near that number of garments. Most end up in their Sale section and probably in landfill. And it just cheapens the brand further.

They look like clown clothes.

Barely ever buy Boden but I did have their big ben shirt , a white shirt with small blue and red big bens.

I don't mind the jumper (although I wouldn't wear it) but that blazer is truly hideous.

I live in the US and 'plaid' as they call it is very much A Thing at Christmas/New Year, so I bet those shoes sell well over here.

You’ll need to wear tights, and there something odd about tights and a sling back exposing the rear of your foot.

I suspect the Boden management team feel like it’s 1997 because Labour are back in and oasis are touring etc, and are trying to recreate Cool Britannia, blissfully ignorant of the true “vibes”, “feels” across the country and challenges Keir and co are confronting. Even more ironic that it’s cheap made in China tat that wouldn’t look out of place in Matalan. What a decline of a brand!!

I normally like a couple of things from Boden each season but even I was shocked. It's not exactly giving a nice soft Autumn vibe.
Everything will be heavily discounted soon because it's all utterly horrible. It's like a focus group made up of people who have never been to Britain sat around and brainstormed "what do British people wear?"aaah yes, union jacks and tartan.
Also what happened to the menswear? Their slippers and cashmere jumpers always went down well at Christmas.

Deary me. I'm Scottish and could see the blazer going down a storm at a rangers match.
I really miss my lovely boiled wool coat (worn when DS1 was a baby, he's now 16) and a couple of work dresses I had in different colours, but those monstrosities remind me why I never even look at the website anymore.

Oh dear. I used to love the Abraham Moon tweed stuff they did.

Seriously awful. It is a real shame. They used to do some really lovely prints as well as some great plain versions. I have several Phoebe dresses that are lovely in a whole range of colours which were brilliant for work

I like the puff sleeve dress more than the first dress (and I love the tartan shoes in the op).

I quite like the jumper in the green colour way.

I presume they're party shoes so the assumption is they don't need to be warm. Still hideous though!
