Created with my eyes shut as I'm impatiently waiting for my box!

@Back21970 enjoy the fragrances in the kit but convince yourself not to buy them ? 😊

Just checked and for 50ml the Debaser is £155!

Too worried now to try it just in case I can’t live without it.

Suppose it be something to spend my BD stash on if I intend to stay - usually it’s boring Dermalogica I end up stocking on - I love it but not very exciting 🤣

LoveLabradors · 09/08/2024 13:34

I’ve gone for it. I will enjoy using everything in it so it’s worth it for me. Hoping it won’t still be around at GWP time as I will kick myself for not waiting 🤣

countdowntonap · 12/08/2024 21:47

Almost a month on from the last beauty drop, has anyone decided to buy the Real Jardin perfume? I love the scent but it doesn’t seem to last long. Not sure whether to purchase at £110 bottle.

There are loads on eBay from about £10 posted for the 10 ml.

Just off the back of the discussion about the Sisley £640 advent calendar, what did everyone think of the moisturiser in the beauty box? I love the texture but it smells so strong, like perfume and because it’s rose, it smells “old” to me rather than “fresh”. Maybe it would be nice in winter but right now I find it cloying in the heat to put on.

I'm not a fan of rose scents and like you I think it smells a little bit old lady. It feels nice enough on my skin but it's nothing special, and for the price it would have to be amazing.

robovacsareepic · 16/08/2024 17:51

i do like rose smells but I had a couple of tubes of Sisley rose and nothing miraculous that I could see

WhoaJayShettybambalam · 16/08/2024 17:54

I really like it, it’s lovely on my skin and I like the smell (although I am quite old lady).

BakeOffRewatch · 18/08/2024 01:18

It does make me wonder if I’m the target audience. Probably people in their 40s-60s with more disposable income for day to day, rather than treat income - might that explain the 4 exfoliants in the calendar? I know Caroline Hirons audience is mainly people in that age group who want the no nonsense, no marketing regimes. The problem people have with Caroline Hirons and the Skin Rocks brand is that she isn’t selling according to her own advice. Ie don’t spend loads on cleanser or moisturiser, don’t use stuff in a jar use a pump. The reviews for the moisturiser say it’s pretty much a high street moisturiser at double the price.

Random Lifestyle Vlog has put up a full unboxing of the Liberty Calendar. I really like her videos and find her very watchable, like your mate telling you about it. I couldn’t watch the EmTalks Space NK unboxing shared on the other thread at all! Lots of cuts and YouTube style jilted phrasing and jumping around. You can tell when RLV doesn’t like a product without her saying so! She says the calendar is “very smelly”, but when she tried the fragrances each one sounded interesting and a couple of unisex that could be shared with DH. Everything she opened I was like oh I’d use that. I think they’ve done a good job of makeup mix, a volumiser and black eyeliner for everyday, a holiday red, blush and sparkly eye for holiday season.

Deadline for preorder window is 21st so this Wednesday. That was from Liberty CS when I asked a few weeks ago. I have £45 credit so it would be £195 spend. I do think the serums, eye creams and Sunday Riley make it worth it.

The La Mer Lip Volumiser is £72 for 7ml!!!

Witsend2023 · 18/08/2024 20:30

Wow what a spoiler on the advent calendar!!!

UntamedShrew · 20/08/2024 09:44

I just got an email about a GWP for anyone interested..!

BakeOffRewatch · 20/08/2024 09:50

Yup just came to share @UntamedShrew beat me to it. £175 minimum spend. Pre-orders of the AC don’t count. Does that mean buying the AC later would count towards a winter GWP? So beats the £20 pre order saving? Anyone remember from previous years?

Seems a lot of repeats of this year’s AC? Who needs this many acids! I use one weekly at most.

Well I was in, and then went to buy the 111SKIN Vit C which would have been the majority of my spend and I do need to restock - and of course it is out of stock - thanks Liberty.

The only other thing I really need is some more shampoo, and I don't want to spend £175 on that, so I think I am now out this time.

UntamedShrew · 20/08/2024 10:16

Yes I’m out for this one too - don’t need a retinol (I do think this is a product people probably stick with the one they have got used to maybe?) and it’s a bit hair-product heavy for me. Lovely bag though!

petitebleu · 20/08/2024 10:54

I've resubscribed and spent my credit to get this with the Director's Cut and some hair stuff so that should be nearly enough to fill my advent calendar from a couple of years back.

Bother!! 😂

visualfeast · 20/08/2024 10:57

I've just used my £100 Beauty Drop credit & £10 voucher to get the Director's Cut kit, a Dermalogica kit, and the GWP – normally I wouldn't bother due to all the hair stuff but I'm in the process of growing my hair out at the moment and could really do with some new hair products! Total I paid was £75 so pretty happy with that!

BCSurvivor · 20/08/2024 11:11

I've just succumbed, I've wanted the Director's Cut for a while and almost clicked on it yesterday, so glad I waited.
BUT I'm always paranoid that half of what I order won't be in stock and I'll miss out on the GWP, so I've impulse bought extra items incase one is out of stock and takes me under the £175 spend!
So not good for my bank balance.

BakeOffRewatch · 20/08/2024 11:14

I still can’t complete my AC purchase! I had a reply saying buy it without the vouchers, but the vouchers work just the payment doesn’t. I understand why everyone is so peeved if online is your only option.

TragicMuse · 20/08/2024 13:02

I succumbed to Director's Cut, added some Davines hair stuff, used all my £120 BD credit and a £10 voucher from the last big spend. Total is the kit, the GWP and some hair care I already wanted, all for £49!!

I'm really chuffed with that!

My mum is looking for a primer, I should have one somewhere to give her...

HellsBells67 · 20/08/2024 13:29

Looks like a good GWP so I've restocked my Diptyque perfume and got a free Diptyque roses candle plus the gwp Feu de Bois candle which is my absolute favourite. Very pleased and had £50 vouchers to use.

Primrosespaw · 20/08/2024 14:10

Looks like the gwp has already sold out. I am no longer getting beauty drop emails despite contacting CS, which is annoying considering t(e price increase. Have sent a more strongly worded email to them this time.

It's still showing as available when I add in £175 worth of stuff, I ordered it this morning successfully too.

Is your beauty drop membership active? As this is only available as a presale to BD members, opens to everyone else at midnight tonight.

orangecrumb · 20/08/2024 14:54

@Primrosespaw - still showing as in stock for me. It's early access for BD members so you have to be logged in for it to be added to your basket

Primrosespaw · 20/08/2024 15:20

@orangecrumb and @Jordiib
thanks so much. Beauty drop active just no longer getting any emails!
logged in, got directors cut and some Lisa E bits.
Can’t resist a GWP. There will be some gifting opportunities amongst that lot.

BakeOffRewatch · 20/08/2024 15:56

I finally was able to order the advent calendar. I had to use mobile phone payment which you can’t use vouchers with and then they refunded me through a partial refund for my beauty drop credit and birthday voucher. Their website is broken! How can it not process a card payment. They asked me to clear my cache and cookies and try again!

I am so excited about my first beauty advent calendar.

These are my Drawers of Doom (DoD) if anyone wants to do a swap? Only with usernames I recognise. Or what do you think the Vinted value might be? It’s the two candles, the OTO pillow spray and Bibbi perfume I’ve circled, though since RBV video where she says she likes it I will probably keep the perfume and try it.
