Do BD members receive birthday offers? Or even just loyalty members?

I’ve always got a £5 voucher for my birthday in the past. It’s my birthday tomorrow as it happens so I’ll report back. I think it’s a loyalty thing because I got it pre BD.

paristotokyo · 07/08/2024 09:05

Ooooh new kit alert! Really like the look of this one but I'm on a buying ban Blush

Blisterly · 07/08/2024 09:11

More elasticiser!! Did they order too much?! It just doesn’t feel like a luxury item to me, I want things I can’t pick up in Boots or M&S.

WhoaJayShettybambalam · 07/08/2024 09:21

Typically I just spent far too much money in Liberty so don’t even want to look at the kit.

howlsmovingbouncycastle · 07/08/2024 09:27

I don't think it's for me - I just can't see how it's worth £479, even with the Emma Lewisham serum? I do like the look of it, but I don't need any more hair oil and I really don't need any more bloody Elasticizer as I always forget to use it as it is pre-hair wash!

BIossomtoes · 07/08/2024 09:47

Not for me. And no birthday voucher yet 😢

listsandbudgets · 07/08/2024 10:04

Completely agree about the elasticizer - what is the obsession with the stuff. I had tubes hanging around for months and even years which I kept failing to use mainly because it needed planning in before a hair wash and who has time for that? I eventually used the whole lot up in place of conditioner. It was alright but I'll happily forgo a big tub of the stuff.

There are some other products I would like to try especially the serum but overall sadly not for me

listsandbudgets · 07/08/2024 10:23

PS I have Debaser and I love it. However, whatever Liberty say, it always puts me in mind of Christmas puddings rather than August evenings so I tend to use it as a winter perfume. Must have been getting it wrong all this time.

Back21970 · 07/08/2024 10:34

Is the kit £135 to BD members or is the £150 with the discount?

I may be tempted, just topped up and have £95 although be bit miffed if next month there’s a good GWP and I’ve used all my credit.

I hadn’t realised the PK was pre wash - I always give it away as assume it would be too heavy for my hair, do like a pre conditioner occasionally though.

LightandBreezy · 07/08/2024 11:08

@Back21970 It's £135 for BD members. This is the kit that briefly appeared on the website a while ago but showed as sold out I think? I'm really torn, it's actually a really good kit for me as I use and need a lot of the stuff in it already ("need" being a slightly subjective term here!) But I think if I get this I'll have to definitely skip an advent calendar or I'm going to be overwhelmed with stuff. I've already been putting the nicest bits from my stash away for a DIY calendar and I have 20 days sorted... I love beauty stuff but having a huge amount of it just takes the joy away a bit as then I start stressing about using it all up before it goes off.

TragicMuse · 07/08/2024 11:14

I'm torn. I think I'd love it but next month might be better! And I am kinda holding out for one with the mini hottie!! Which I guess would be autumn-ish or winter.

Primrosespaw · 07/08/2024 12:16

Hi all, i unsubscribed for a few months as was disappointed with the quality of the boxes and after the perfume kit debacle with Morning Chess malfunctioning, with rubbish customer service on the matter. But I have resubscribed as the latest box was so much better and the free postage does make a difference living outside London. Problem is, I am now not getting any beauty drop emails. I have only twigged it as have not had an email about the latest kit. Has anyone else had this problem? I have emailled CS, so hopefully will get it fixed. Thanks.

wheresmyshoe · 07/08/2024 12:36

I'm in the same position as you @LightandBreezy there are things in this edit I very much want (Chantecaille, Oribe) but I can't justify this and an advent calendar (cash and stash size).

listsandbudgets · 07/08/2024 12:36

I'm also holding g kit for a mini hottie and a really good GW0 and if they came together I'd be very happy!!

Not for me. And no birthday voucher yet 😢

I got mine in June before my birthday. Missed out last year because despite me filling in my birthdate, the box had emptied on my profile. Was proper pissed off. Have you checked?

I've always had it on the 1st of the month so it's run out by my birthday on the last day of the month 😆

BIossomtoes · 08/08/2024 17:05

Liberty customer services have sent me a voucher addressed to someone called Nicola. That’s not my name. Now to see if the code works, I guess.

Another76543 · 08/08/2024 17:40

The new kit isn’t for me. More Elasticizer?! That Dermalogica stuff was in all the GWP from various shops several years ago!

listsandbudgets · 09/08/2024 09:26

The Fortnum and Mason AC pre order is out. Comparing it with Liberty's I think I prefer it but I'm just not sure

robovacsareepic · 09/08/2024 09:35

I was wondering if there was an advent thread - it’s a good offer from f&m, but Liberty good this year too, could be tricky! Might wait for an unboxing to decide.

wheresmyshoe · 09/08/2024 09:41

Beauty advent calendars 2024 http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/styleandd_beauty/5108657-beauty-advent-calendars-2024

LoveLabradors · 09/08/2024 10:46

Quite like the look of the kit and have a vouchers and blue light discount. However I’m wondering if I should rejoin the beauty drop again to make it worthwhile as the box was so good and a probable September GWP. Does anyone know how quickly the sign up credit it available please? Thanks

Back21970 · 09/08/2024 11:11

I ordered the new set and am awaiting delivery. Had £95 credit so only ‘cost’ £40.

Use Dermalogica and Oribe anyway and wanted to try the PK, now I’ve finally realised it’s a pre wash treatment.

Will gift the fragrances - always do with Liberty, don’t even try them as would be worried about loving it and then being tempted to fork out full price as they are so expensive - any perfume over a £100 for me is way too indulgent to buy for myself.

Out of interest are any of them sweet scents? I generally wear vanilla or almond based fragrance.

Once did treat myself to Tom Ford Cherry and although lovely I didn’t feel it was worth the price tag.

LightandBreezy · 09/08/2024 11:40

@Back21970 the Debaser scent is fig, so it is sweet - and it's absolutely lovely. I got some in last years fragrance kit and will scour ebay to pick up another one from this kit!

BlueLimeRun · 09/08/2024 12:52

@Back21970 enjoy the fragrances in the kit but convince yourself not to buy them ? 😊
