Liberty Beauty Drop Spoiler (from the despatch date!) Part 8

Created with my eyes shut as I'm impatiently waiting for my box!

I think it helps that I didn’t get the advent or any kits last year so lots of things are new to me in these drops.

Mines not arrived yet although I did get the email from Liberty saying it's been sent. I think Royal Mail is still playing catch up round here due to the recent snow so I guess it will arrive soon.

I think the box is okay - not wow but not terrible. I'll pass on the shampoo and conditioner as it doesn't sound suitable for my hair but I'm interested in the hand and body wash, perfume and cleanser. The eye mask will get used.

I’m missing the perfume sample - I've emailed them even though it seems a bit petty now I’ve seen it’s a 1.5ml sample! Definitely not the best box I’ve had and I wasn’t over impressed with the calendar this year, felt like I was just going through the motions every morning. Think it’s time for a rethink!

If you want to PM your address, I'll happily send you mine when I can get to the PO in a week or 2s time.

Gutted! I really wanted to like vine thief but also shocked by the strange rubbery smell? I guess at least I am WFH today . Does it improve over the day, or am I going to end up jumping back in the shower?!

I wasn't a fan either and I've tried and liked a few of the liberty perfumes. This isn't one of their best imo, although everyone reacts differently so I'd imagine some people will love it.

Yes same, I had kept toying with the idea of buying a sample so at least it has spared me that!

@IDontHateRainbows @WindsurfingDreams I really like Vine Thief though! It’s warm and fruity, vanilla but not boring. It lasts as well from a tiny spray.

I noticed the rubber smell on first spray in the perfumes in the Liberty Advent Calendar too, is it something in fancy perfumes they’re putting in for other reasons? I’m not an expert! I noticed it in the LBTY Ianthe Oud, Bibbi The Other Room and the Vilhelm Parfumerie Faces of Frances.

Does the rubber smell wear off after the first spray then? If so I shall try it again!

All the LBTY samples in the Beauty Drop boxes so far have been 1.5 ml. All the other products in the box are decent travel sizes so I don't mind a perfume sample as an extra, particularly as its exclusive to Liberty.

If you mean that sort of petrol, nail varnish remover smell then yes. I’ve had it with all the perfumes I’ve had recently, so I thought it was me being post partum and my sense of smell changing.

i didn’t have that smell with any of the Liberty Scent With Love kit perfumes over spring summer though

That's not the case, the sana jardin sandlewood temple was 5ml.

That’s not from the LBTY range though. I have two samples from previous boxes (Liberty Maze and Wild Rosinda) and they’re both 1.5ml

I had that with Liberty Zephirine.
It was a scent I thought I was going to love, but those petrol undertones on my skin!
I keep going back to it to retest, but it's every time.
Adelphi Sun, Maze and Tudor were all fine on me.

But that's not a LBTY scent. All the LBTY scents we have received in the Beauty Drop boxes have been 1.5 ml.

Disappointed with the box tbh. The shampoo and conditioner are for a specific hair type, the perfume is extremely cloying and I would have liked some kind of moisturiser/lip balm for winter rather than two cleansers.

I never said it was a liberty scent love.
I just said there had been bigger perfume samples in other drops

I’m really happy with this box.

I have wavy, dry hair with a few frizzy areas, so I’m really happy with the shampoo and conditioner (the million Malin and goetz ones I have received before have never impressed me).

Im looking forward to trying the cleanser and eye masks always get used. I’m also in what seems to be the minority and love the perfume. It’s the first one of Libertys I actually like.

Not really fussed about the hand and body wash, but I’m sure I’ll use it at some point.

V. excited for the box as the hair stuff will be perfect for my post-chemo v. frizzy/curly hair.

If anyone does not want theirs, will happily take it off your hands!

I think it's a decent box although not particularly excited about anything. I tried the perfume, which I liked, but it didn't stay on me very long unfortunately. Not sure about the shampoo & conditioner, I have very fine straight hair so probably not for my hair type and I absolutely hated the hair pomade we got a few boxes ago (although it did smell really nice). I love the Rum hand & body wash but have given to my husband as he's a big fan. I have enjoyed the Omorovicza products I have tried so far so the cleanser will go in my travel bag and I will probably get around to using the eye mask when I have a rare pamper evening.

Box arrived today. I like the perfume, not sure I'd run out and buy it but I do like it.

My daughter uses the hair pomade for her ballet buns, it works brilliantly and smells so good. Recommend passing it on to any dancers you know!

Ooh that's interesting @WindsurfingDreams my daughter does ballet but I never thought about using that on her hair. I gave it to my husband to use as a wax but don't think he has even used it! Thanks, will give it a try.

I really like the perfume because it reminds me of the Ananya range that was discontinued by the Body Shop years ago! I feel like the perfume suits teenager me who loved body sprays, not sure I would buy it now at 40.

Overall a good box for me and I'm still glad I rejoined after leaving in protest of the £5 increase. It's a good treat and I'll use all the products. Agree with others that a lip balm would have been great for winter though.

It smells a lot nicer than the gels and sprays she normally uses! It works well for a class. I can't remember if we used it last time she did a show so can't promise it would hold up all day, but certainly for lessons it works brilliantly
