For me:
Underarm laser hair removal
Medical grade skincare products
Botox (for now but I know there a shelf life )
Buying less clothes but spending more per item

@DivorcedAndDelighted I spoke to my dentist about Invisalign because a friend now has lovely straight teeth but an overbite with it, she said it’s really common to get an overbite, and perhaps that’s what @BlueAnd has noticed?

BlueAnd · 15/07/2024 09:35

Yes, I hate that very distinctive Invisalign overbite where the teeth are arranged in a ‘u’ shape even in those with a square jaw. They also develop really prominent front teeth and often those teeth have been augmented with composites or bleaching so it just looks very distracting instead of charming.

BlueAnd · 15/07/2024 09:39

Like fillers, Invisalign is immediately obvious to those who don’t have them, but I know it’s a controversial subject so I will hush now!

GogAndMagog · 15/07/2024 13:54

Agree with some kind of face massage / exercise, (loads on you tube) Just a little bit each day

Botox - i had some a year ago, lasted ages!!

Gua sha - I can always tell when i haven't done it for a while.

Groomed brows, hands, feet

SPF 50

Tretinoin and good skincare

At home mild facial feel once a week

i have a micro current device but it isn't compatible with my metal braces so I'm waiting on them being removed.

My hair is a total mess at moment so following for ideas.

Sleep and time to do above !!!

Could anybody recommend a facial spf50 please?

KevinDeBrioche · 15/07/2024 15:34

Daily yoga. Best decision 26 year old me ever made!

Botox couple of times a year

eyebrows shaped/ tinted as above. Not brave enough for tattooing them on but can keep the shape myself for a while after each session.

Teeth whitening

good hair cut then airwrap to give the blow dry look

regular pedicures, semi regular manicures. Cuticle oil makes a massive difference

Simple Jewelry. Gold earrings and fine necklaces, couple of fine / chunky bracelets to stack

good quality clothes built up over twenty years, helps that I’m the same size (see point one)

La Roche Posay or Avene, lots of options within those brands for your skin type. Heliocare do a good mineral one if you don't want to use chemical.

CocoapuffPuff · 15/07/2024 15:49

Exercise and good, wholesome good. Everything is better.

FastFood · 15/07/2024 16:18

A good hairdresser for a cut three times a year, a good hairdryer + the Revlon brush so I can blow dry my hair in less than 15 mins, and the cherry on the cake is the Silke hair wrap. I wake up with perfect hair every day, and I only need to wash it twice a week.

Also, the Isle of Paradise self-tanning drops. I use it once a week, it just gives my skin a lovely glow.

wintersgold · 15/07/2024 19:56

Second the laser hair removal. Makes life so much easier!
Good cut and colouring/balayage at a very reliable salon - I would never suggest taking chances when it comes to haircare, especially colouring. Hair damage can be devastating if the stylist doesn't know what they're doing, and it's worth it for the perfect 'cool' shade of blonde (why so many stylists think blonde = brassy, I won't ever understand)

i second la roche posey spf50 (liquid face one) goes really nice under makeup, they do a tinted one and non tinted. I always buy non tinted

Tunder · 15/07/2024 22:47

A sacrifice rather than investment but I cut out wheat. Eczema patches have gone, joints stopped aching, I sleep better, fart less and have lost a stone.

GoldFrame · 15/07/2024 22:49

Botox

Skincare since young

hairdresser

brows

ThePoshUns · 15/07/2024 23:06

Good skincare regimen
Tooth whitening
Yoga
SPF daily

CaliforniaChill · 16/07/2024 01:56

Can I ask, what is Aesplla?

Also, what do you do with your Gua Sha? As in what products do you use, and what does it do for you?

thx

TheOccupier · 21/07/2024 23:06

Laser hair removal
Good leather handbags
Staying in shape

itsnothingoriginal · 23/07/2024 09:38

Hands down it's been fillers - cheeks and jaw
Medical grade neck cream
SPF all year around (although started this too late to avoid sun damage completely)

However I'm 49 and know that it's impossible to stem the tide on aging forever and I now need to fight the battle with menopausal chin hair which I'm currently losing 😫

MaitreKarlsson · 22/08/2024 00:18

I’m obsessed with the garnier range. Using their F50 VitC daily UV glow product makes my skin look so healthy, dont need a foundation with it. Its not too shiny or oil slick looking!
if i forget or need a quick fix or extra as on holiday i use their F50 Super UV face mist. Its great over makeup too.
In winter using F30 VitC moisturiser serum all in one.
its very reasonably priced and often on offer so i stock up then.
