Yes I know, I'm stupidly early, but I love a beauty advent calendar and I've just seen Liberty has stopped a sneak peek at their offering this year...

I’m not usually a fan of single brand calendars, but this Neals Yard one has piqued my interest. I don’t think they’ve done one before. It will be interesting to see what the full contents are and whether the £150 purchase price is justified.

Ooh, that's interesting! Off to sign up to the waitlist.

Cyclingmummy1 · 15/08/2024 20:00

Just seen an ad for Bamford. No price yet and only 12 days.

Giftwithpurchase · 15/08/2024 20:34

Hello everyone - great to be back discussing the important stuff in life again haha .. I'm definitely going to get H&B this year. Like the idea of the weleda cleanser - never seen that before. Just feel like I always use everything they include - even tho it's often not as exciting!
Looking forward to scrutinising all the calendar contents with you all 😄

Addictedtobeauty · 15/08/2024 22:32

Wow, Sisley have lost the plot! That’s ridiculously overpriced, and I like Sisley!

SoloCat · 15/08/2024 23:05

I love Sisley too…but that is mad!

parkrun500club · 16/08/2024 08:12

£640?

Blimey.

Ooh my sister would love that! Will buy her one for Christmas.

I like the preview contents of H&B this year. I had the H&B calendar a few years ago but I can see there's a Dr Paw Paw in there which always puts me off 🙄Q&A products are generally very good though.

pinkchampagne1 · 16/08/2024 10:47

I see they have the Cult Beauty unboxing on You Tube but it doesn’t reveal all of the contents.

Talisin · 16/08/2024 10:55

Not beauty but if anyone’s interested in a wine advent, Virgin Wines have theirs available for pre order now

JudgeBurrito · 16/08/2024 14:01

Waitlist open for Sephora. It was pretty good last year.

SPOILER FOR LIBERTY FRAGRANCE
*

*

Thanks @Puravida23 . LBV reveals that the fragrance is 8ml Ianthe Oud, she couldn’t find details about it but the packaging says top notes mimosa and bergamot, mid notes violet flower cedarwood and myrrh, and dry notes are (something)wood patchouli and leather. What’s mimosa?!

MiaN · 18/08/2024 06:43

Liberty box is beautiful, and the content is good too. I am settled with my skincare and previous advent calendars I would try so many products, and nearly always end up with irritated skin. I would most likely not get advent that is skincare heavy this year, particularly if there are a lot of acids. Makeup & fragrance selection is the nicest I have seen

I am comparing if I will enjoy spending the cost and choosing some products I want to try vs buying advent as well.

linelgreen · 18/08/2024 07:11

The Temple Spa one is already sold out at £200 each!!!!

I didn’t even know it existed!

JudgeBurrito · 18/08/2024 10:03

Isn't Temple Spa an MLM..? I gather the products are pretty good, but not for me.

Yes it is MLM. I didn’t know as my first intro to them was via the Beauty Bible. I only realised when a rep started working in my workplace and kept peddling their side hustle. Wound me right up. I have some of their products (purchased direct from website) and rate the skin truffle moisturiser highly. I must dig it out, I could do with a treat.

wheresmyshoe · 18/08/2024 13:58

I was so disappointed to find Temple Spa were an MLM as the products are great. I discovered them through a gift set.

Me too. I love them but it's really put me off

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 18/08/2024 17:22

@BakeOffRewatch
Mimosa (flower) is one of my favourite smells.

I've had Chanel Coco & L'Artisan Parfumeur Mimosa Pour Moi which are mimosa heavy & lovely!

Mimosa - The Perfume Society

Mimosa is a beautifully powdery, yellow bloom that adds an elegant sunshine-y warmth to fragrances, read our list which fragrances you should smell it in...

I like Sisley, but I’ll easily give this one a miss. £640 for what appear to be all sample sizes!

Cripes; the packaging isn't even as lux as the Neal's Yard one which looks lovely! I really should keep away from these threads 😀

That price is madness! Even if I was a millionaire! What have they got in there and what are the products made of?! Surely the raw ingredients can't be substantially more expensive than any other luxury brand?

I love Sisley products but that's a step too far!

Toottooot · 19/08/2024 15:18

The sneak peak from Sephora posted on Insta looks good - need to see more from them and Look Fantastic before deciding which one to buy…

MyRamone · 19/08/2024 15:27

Waiting for Vogue... normally I get Cult Beauty but it isn't doing it for me this year.

pinkchampagne1 · 19/08/2024 15:34

I wasn’t wowed by the Liberty calendar. Too many exfoliating products and sample sizes. Harrods is still my favourite of those that have been revealed so far.

Squishmymallow · 19/08/2024 18:25

@Toottooot I agree the sephora sneak peek does look promising!

I’ve also just seen a post on insta by SpaceNK saying that they’re doing a live reveal tomorrow at 5pm with really ree. The box looks gorgeous so I have high hopes for contents!
