If you are genuinely happy with your body size and shape, what’s your height weight & dress size?

If you genuinely feel happy with your body size & shape what’s your height weight & dress size? Do you think you look great, or have you just made peace with how you look?

I am 5”7

Weight 11 stone 6lbs

Normally wear a size 10/12 depending on brand. I fit into 8s in some shops (M&S I’m looking at you!) but that’s definitely vanity sizing!!

I have mixed feelings about my body & would like to lose a stone & tone up some areas.

I am fairly muscular as do work out. But my tummy is bigger than I would like and my bum (which was always my best feature until recently) has this weird sagging at the bottom so no longer looks good in shorts (skirts are better now).

More importantly, since being heavier (I used to 9 and a half stone at my lightest) I have developed a lot more niggles in my legs when running, which is limiting my running to twice per week and I feel a lot older than I did 5 years ago (I’m early 40s) and think being slightly heavier is contributing to this .

On the plus side, I do think I have a nice hourglass shape (just not from the side due to belly!)

5ft 6 size10
Haven't weighed myself for years.

I'm 54 and have lots of saggy bits and cellulite. However I don't really care how I look.

PullUpTheDrawbridge · 09/06/2024 10:53

5.2 size 10/12 maybe smaller if it's fat face or one of those other generous brands. I'm pale and saggy but my face/ hair helps. Tbh I don't care about much from the neck down. And I'm a tight arse about spending money on clothes/ skin care etc. There's more to life!

Singleandproud · 09/06/2024 11:01

5ft6, I was happiest at around 145 lbs - 150/bs / 10.5 - 11 stone, size 10/12. Much less and I start looking abit gaunt and lose the boobs.

Unfortunately after 8 years of sedentary work and then sedentary evenings doing an OU degree Im closer to size 18/20 and my face doesn't even look like mine any more whether thats age or the weight gain Im not sure but I'm working on changing it because at heart I love being active and doing sport I just haven't had the time and got out of practise.

OhLaurie · 09/06/2024 11:03

5ft 6, weight 9 stone and a size 10.
I’ve been this weight and size most of my adult life and have been happy with it but since hitting 50 I’m developing a menopause belly which I am not liking at all.

App13 · 09/06/2024 11:06

5ft5, 8 stones 44, size 8.

I've always been this way, with peri hitting im sure it'll change but let's see

Happy that clothes from 20yrs ago still fit

WhoUsesTypeWritersNEway · 09/06/2024 11:08

5ft 9 and 9 stone, usually a size 8. Am happy with my size, I’ve been pretty much the same size since I was teen (well maybe gained half a stone or so, but that’s okay) I am generally happy but after having my son I can see my skin has stretched on my stomach so I’m still a bit wobbly- I’m not happy with that. I’ve also got big boobs that are natural, they hang lower and further south than I like and I feel can make me look bigger than I am and frumpy/inappropriate in some clothes! But I’m not willing to undergo surgery. I’m 37 so aware things will continue to head south so I’ll keep on exercising and hope for the best!

MaryMaryVeryContrary · 09/06/2024 11:08

I’m 5’9, a size 10-12 and 34D bra.

I think it’s less about weight and more about proportions, I’m happy with my figure because I have a small waist, shapely legs and slim arms/shoulders (not humble bragging but just because you asked!). I know some very very slim people with boyish shapes that I wouldn’t swap with but slightly bigger women with hourglass figures that I would (if i had to choose)

Bobbybobbins · 09/06/2024 11:09

5' 5. Size 10- at the 12 end now rather than the 8 end. No idea on weight as we don't have scales.

I'm 45 and my tummy is bigger than I want, otherwise fairly happy. Probably half a stone lighter would get me back to pre kids size.

ShowerOfShites · 09/06/2024 11:12

5ft 3", 8 stone 12 pounds, size 10 (sometimes 8).

I'm happy with my size but I'm 55, menopausal, with an underactive thyroid and I'd like to tone up my stomach.

However, I really can't be bothered so I don't complain 😁

Workawayxx · 09/06/2024 11:14

I was happy at 5’3” and 8.5 stone, size 8. I’m now 9 stone post DD but she’s now 3 🤦🏻‍♀️.

I’m 90% happy but still hoping I may shift the 1/2 stone.

morellamalessdrama · 09/06/2024 11:19

I'm 5 foot 5 and around 10 stone 10. I like my figure, I work out a lot and feel strong but would like to lose half a stone before going on holiday to feel extra confident in a bikini.

I wear a 12 and sometimes a 10.

I find that if my weight is lower then I lose the boobs and my neck looks a little veiny so it's all a balance. At the moment my figure is more hour glass than apple but I can feel that shifting slightly (I'm 43).

Elsbetka · 09/06/2024 11:21

I'm the same.heught and weight as you, OP (maybe a couple of pounds lighter) but am a 12-14 and haven't fitted into an 8 in many years! Occasionally I might be a 10 in some dresses or tops - never in trousers.

I'm one of not that many people I know who are broadly happy with their weight, although I'd like to tone up my inner thighs a bit (but not enough to do any really targeted exercise about it 😂). I walk a lot and also do pilates, which definitely helps keep me toned. It might be more accurate to say that I'm not really bothered about my weight because I'm generally preoccupied with my skin - I have very sensitive skin that breaks out at the slightest thing, and it's exhausting, so tbh my wright is the least of my worries!

suntannedsnowballsinhellskitchensink · 09/06/2024 11:23

5ft 2 and 7.5st

Hate myself. Hate my body. Hate dressing it. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I've long since came to the conclusion that I'll never be happy.

I am similar to this. I’ve been the same size pretty much all of my adult life but I do a fair bit of exercise and whilst I don’t calorie count I can’t just eat as much as I’d like to every day.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 09/06/2024 11:24

5’3, 9 stone 6, dress size varies on different bits of me from 14 across shoulders to 8 at waist. I am pretty happy with that for a 52 year old - it’s safely inside the healthy BMI category and I don’t think I would look any better if it was at the lower rather than the upper end. I am fortunate that the weight doesn’t seem to want to stick around my waist.

Jifmicroliquid · 09/06/2024 11:25

5ft 4 and size 10. No idea on weight, it doesn’t bother me.

theveryhungrybum · 09/06/2024 11:25

5ft4 and about 8 stone 6, size 8. I'm happy with my shape but being post menopausal I watch what I eat and exercise to maintain my figure. I have very good health reasons to not want to put on weight.

Purpleblob · 09/06/2024 11:36

I am 5ft 7 and weight 9 stone 8 - size 12. Would like to be more toned and slender. Think I am too broad and wide but can’t do much about my bone structure

FastFood · 09/06/2024 11:36

5ft5, not sure about the weight, something around 8st, size 6-8.
Super happy, mostly because food has never been an issue.

Tappingthetopfloor · 09/06/2024 11:37

5ft4 and 9 stone, size 10. Now have a belly for the first time ever, despite running, lifting weights and cycling (it’s exhausting ) - thanks menopause, but fairly happy when I have clothes on and just shut my eyes when I’m naked and near mirrors 😄

RichardOsmansfondueset · 09/06/2024 11:42

5ft 3, Size 14, 12st. 55yrs. I'm okay with that. I'm an hourglass so it's all about in proportion. I'd like to be a couple of stones lighter but not enough to get my act together. I've been a size 8 -18 and can honestly say that it made no difference to my happiness. I eat a healthy balanced diet, minimal alcohol and enjoy a couple of treats. Life is too short to put pressure on yourself to be "perfect".

Softdressesandblouses · 09/06/2024 11:42

5ft 6, 8 stone 9 lbs. I'm very proud of my body, having been through a couple of serious scares. I have lots of loose skin and saggy bits but I don't care as I love my clothes and they hide everything!

Cheesewiz · 09/06/2024 11:51

5ft5, 37, think I'm around 10st size 10, never happy with the way I look in clothes. I have broad shoulders, big boobs and my legs are too skinny so I think i look out of proportion. My belly is stretched out and wobbly after 2 babies. Have a small mum pouch which I think looks horrible in form fitting clothes. As the years go on I do seem to care less though, generally live in baggy clothes to hide my body

wutheringkites · 09/06/2024 11:58

5ft 3, 157kg and I wear a size 10/12, depending on cut as I'm a 32GG

wutheringkites · 09/06/2024 11:59

That should be 57kg, not 157'
