If you are genuinely happy with your body size and shape, what’s your height weight & dress size?

If you genuinely feel happy with your body size & shape what’s your height weight & dress size? Do you think you look great, or have you just made peace with how you look?

I am 5”7

Weight 11 stone 6lbs

Normally wear a size 10/12 depending on brand. I fit into 8s in some shops (M&S I’m looking at you!) but that’s definitely vanity sizing!!

I have mixed feelings about my body & would like to lose a stone & tone up some areas.

I am fairly muscular as do work out. But my tummy is bigger than I would like and my bum (which was always my best feature until recently) has this weird sagging at the bottom so no longer looks good in shorts (skirts are better now).

More importantly, since being heavier (I used to 9 and a half stone at my lightest) I have developed a lot more niggles in my legs when running, which is limiting my running to twice per week and I feel a lot older than I did 5 years ago (I’m early 40s) and think being slightly heavier is contributing to this .

On the plus side, I do think I have a nice hourglass shape (just not from the side due to belly!)

5'5". Size 8-10. I don't weigh myself much but it's usually between 9.5 and 10 stone. I used to be a stone lighter but I actually think I look better now because I exercise a lot so everything is firm.

BridgetRandomfuck · 09/06/2024 12:06

5’9”, about 11 stone, 12 on top and 14 bottoms. I like being tall, I think clothes hang better and it hides minor weight fluctuations well. I’d like to be half a stone lighter, but not enough to really do anything about it. I have a slim waist (though peri is changing that a bit), when weight does go on it goes on my thighs and bum. There are styles I don’t look good in (wide leg trousers for one), but on the whole I can dress fairly easily and don’t have to think about it much. Happy with what I’ve got!

WhereAreWeNow · 09/06/2024 12:07

I'm pretty happy with my body. 5"8. 9 stone 4lb. Size 8-10. Small waist/hourglass.
Main thing is I feel fitter and healthier than ever before. I'm 48 and have only recently got into exercise. It's made such a difference to how I feel about my body. I want to be toned, healthy and strong rather than just thin (which is what I spent a lot of wasted time focusing on before).

MaryMaryVeryContrary · 09/06/2024 12:08

Forgot to say I’m 10 stone 4 or thereabouts

Devilsmommy · 09/06/2024 12:16

5'7 9st size 6 bottom half but 8/10 top half as I'm broad shouldered. Wish I could put on weight just bottom half but no matter how much I eat it's not happening

EmeraldArtichoke · 09/06/2024 12:27

46, 5”7, around 12 stone, size 14-16-18. I love how I look more now than ever! I have a gorgeous shape, lovely soft skin, great hair and a pretty face. I wear clothes I like, varied shapes and patterns, nice fabrics and colours that suit me. I’m not fussed about looking as thin as possible, more cool, comfy and interesting. I think for me not giving a crap about what other people think, (at last!), accepting my age, has led to more self confidence, genuine appreciation of my self and this new peace with my body.

RitaAndFrank · 09/06/2024 12:30

5’8.5, 9 stone, size 8. Pretty toned all over from daily dog walks and yoga. There are of course parts of my body I don’t like and would love to change but I’m fit and healthy so happy enough and grateful to be that.

StellaOlivetti · 09/06/2024 12:39

I’m 5’3” and size 8, weight hovers around the 8stone mark. I’m pretty ok with how I look especially when dressed, but don’t really think about it much. At my age I’m just glad everything still works! Following a hip replacement last year I try to be grateful for every pain free step.

Twilightstarbright · 09/06/2024 12:46

I’m 5ft5.5 about 122lb/55kg/8 stone 9 depending on the day. Size 8.

I’ve lost 4 stone in a year and a bit. I am a bit flabby on my stomach due to the weight loss/pregnancy and c section but I am very happy with how I look.

I have a very small build and need to gain some muscle so I’m strong as I age but I don’t expect to look perfect anymore and am very happy with how I look here and now and accept myself for who I am.

henlake7 · 09/06/2024 12:50

5'5, 9st 13 and size 10.
Im mostly happy I think! I do have a lot of loose skin from losing 7st in the last yr and a half but Im still too chuffed I lost the weight to worry about it!
Also I exercise alot so Im pretty toned which Im proud of.

Funny how things change when you hit 'that' age though. I always used to have a very curvy, hourglass figure. No matter what my measurements my waist was always 10ins smaller then my boobs and hips.
Since meno though that gap has shortened to only 5ins and I dont think its coming back. I dont mind at all though....Im now more of a curvy athletic shape and I feel it suits who I am now more.😊

Funkyslippers · 09/06/2024 12:52

5'6" age 50, probably just under 9 stone, size 10. Been this size since I was about 18. I put it down to v good genes as I've never had to do any sort of weight loss however for the past 10 years or so I've been very active which helps with my sweet tooth 😊

LaBelleEtLeBadBoy · 09/06/2024 12:56

I’m 5”8 and about 60 kg. Size 10-12

Need to tone up! Have a belly overhang which no longer looks cute 😆 Also used to have a naturally pert, peachy bum which has become suspiciously flat and square looking in the last couple of years 😒🤨 Have been told this is solvable tho with squats 🤞

GingerPirate · 09/06/2024 13:29

Idk what my weight is, around 65 kg(??)
173 cm, 10-12.
More 12 because of big boobs.
45 yo.
Sorry, my brain rejects stones and lbs.
😁

Jennywren2000 · 09/06/2024 13:34

I was 5ft 7 & 10 stone ish for most of my life apart from pregnancy until I reached 40 and was happy with that. Size 10-12 & a BMI of 21-22

Tarantella6 · 09/06/2024 15:11

I'm 5'2 and way too close to 10st for my liking. 9st is good, although I still cannot wear tight tops on my stomach.

My bum is too big for me to get much lower than 9st, I was 8st when I was 18 but I don't think that is achievable after 20 years sitting at a desk!

buma · 09/06/2024 15:45

Not happy with my current size (5ft6, 10stone3, size 12).

I was happiest when I was around 8 stone and a size 6. I would never be able to get to that size again (and it would look wrong on me now), but I loved feeling thin and toned.

ItsHardknocklife · 09/06/2024 15:57

5ft 1in and a size 8. I don't weigh myself so don't know.

Chickydoo · 09/06/2024 16:14

5'7 age 57 weigh 8st 10lbs
Size 8-10
My weight hasn't changed much over the years, my shape is different though. Bigger waist, more belly, less up top.
I exercise everyday with walking and yoga. I go to the gym once or twice a week to use the running machine and weights etc.
Am I happy with my shape? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I guess it depends on the day and what I'm wearing and how I'm feeling.
Mostly I am grateful to be fit and healthy in the run up to 60.

Ineffable23 · 09/06/2024 16:23

5' 4", twelve and a half stone, size 14-16 and happy. I have to pick my clothing but I wasn't any happier when I was thinner. I'm an hourglass and do a lot of exercise so it's not too wobbly a 12.5 stone.

I am trying to lose weight but for the health benefits more than my appearance.

Cuppateatea · 09/06/2024 16:34

5ft 7 12 stone and age 56.
Dress size 12/14.
My Doc says my weight is fine (bit overweight but nothing to cause concern medically)
I don’t think I look OK - I bloody know it!! I look fab! ❤️ (not interested if you don’t agree!)
Breast Cancer survivor, I wear what I like when I like and I love myself and my body that’s weathered more than a few storms.

PurpleChrayn · 09/06/2024 16:37

I'm 5'10", 43 years old, and 13 stone.

I'm happier than I was at 9 stone pre-children! DS is 18 months and DD is almost 4, and I've breastfed since Sept 2020 when she was born. Storing fat for that, but it doesn't bother me.

I dress "modestly" for religious reasons (I know a lot of people take exception to that term but it's widely understood). If I still wore tight clothes I may feel less happy with my body!

Sourisblanche · 09/06/2024 16:39

5,10 and just under 10 stone. I do look a bit unweight atm according to doctor last week but I’ve not been well recently.

HeadNorth · 09/06/2024 16:42

I’m 57, I’m 5foot 1 inch tall & 8 stone. Size 6-8. I am happy with this - I exercise regularly so I am pretty toned and strong.

RandomUsernameHere · 09/06/2024 16:46

5'6, 8 1/2 stone, size varies but most of my clothes are 8, 10 or Small.

coxesorangepippin · 09/06/2024 16:49

I'm only happy when I'm a size 8 and 9 stone 7

I'm 5'5

This takes a lot of dedication though
