If you are genuinely happy with your body size and shape, what’s your height weight & dress size?

If you genuinely feel happy with your body size & shape what’s your height weight & dress size? Do you think you look great, or have you just made peace with how you look?

I am 5”7

Weight 11 stone 6lbs

Normally wear a size 10/12 depending on brand. I fit into 8s in some shops (M&S I’m looking at you!) but that’s definitely vanity sizing!!

I have mixed feelings about my body & would like to lose a stone & tone up some areas.

I am fairly muscular as do work out. But my tummy is bigger than I would like and my bum (which was always my best feature until recently) has this weird sagging at the bottom so no longer looks good in shorts (skirts are better now).

More importantly, since being heavier (I used to 9 and a half stone at my lightest) I have developed a lot more niggles in my legs when running, which is limiting my running to twice per week and I feel a lot older than I did 5 years ago (I’m early 40s) and think being slightly heavier is contributing to this .

On the plus side, I do think I have a nice hourglass shape (just not from the side due to belly!)

@henlake7 I'm deeply unhappy with how I look. I was very slim for years. Menopause hit and my body does its own thing. I swing from embracing the changes and raging against the changes. Nothing. And I mean Nothing I do works. I'd convinced myself I wasn't that big... but reading this thread (which I wish I hadn't) has left me reeling.

5" 7 and 13 stone. Size 12 in tops and dresses, size 16 in trousers. I have a sedentary job and not much spare time to exercise. The only things I would change would be to have a more snatched jaw line as I'm starting to get a bit of a double chin, plus I also have a belly which doesn't look great in some outfits. If I had the time I would walk more and work out a few times a week, which would make me feel better and I'd be more toned. But I have a lot of other things I need to focus on at this stage in my life so this will have to wait.

I'm 5'5" and weigh 10 stone. I'm size 10/12 and aged 54.
I'm menopausal and have the belly to prove it but overall I think I look slim.

I exercise regularly and eat healthy meals. I could diet to lose half a stone but I think my body is happy where it is and I've spent far too much time over the years restricting what I eat and berating myself for eating half a biscuit!

I'm happy with how I look from a vanity point of view but, from a purely physical point of view, I feel extremely happy and lucky to be in good health.
I have a very close friend who isn't in this position health wise so I never, ever take it for granted.

@JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn

Take heart, I have a couple of friends who put on weight during the menopause but having come out of the other side, they've returned to their original weight.

I'm perimenopausal and the weight just won't go, it's not like I eat more than I did before, or that I do less exercise, I actually eat better than I did before. It's so frustrating and demoralising that it just seems to have piled on (I've put on 2 stone in 2 years since I noticed I was peri) and I've changed nothing.

I'm 5ft 3, 8st 4, size 8. I have some loose skin from where I lost weight but apart from that I am happy. I'm sleeping better, I have more energy and my skin sensitivities have lessened.

I think I look amazing.

I'm 5'5, about 50-51kg (around 8st), very toned but scrawny.

For years, I used to long to look like Shelley Blanks.
Now I'm as close to that as I'm going to get.

SaltyGod · 10/06/2024 11:24

5ft 7, 10 st 3lb and a comfortable size 10/12.

Very happy with this weight and looking to maintain it. I’ve come down from 12 stone where I was very unhappy.

Jemimapuddleduk · 10/06/2024 12:05

5 foot 8, size 12, no idea of weight (i do not weigh myself). Happy overall, could do with a more toned midriff. Pleased with how I have more strength and defined muscles from strength training.

Ginflinger · 10/06/2024 12:18

I'm size 16 after losing a lot of weight and I am so pleased with how I look right now.

Parker231 · 10/06/2024 15:50

5’8 - usually between 9 stone 6-8. Look better at 10 stone but burn it off quickly

AnotherFuckingUsername · 10/06/2024 16:14

5'10"
12 stone 6
Size 10/12

Through starting strength training, came to realise not to worry about the scales. I've got 15% body fat, toned/muscular, feel great and at a size where clothes look good on my frame. I'm the same weight I was before weight starting weight training (and relying on cardio only) yet a size smaller.
