I'm meeting friends I haven't seen in years.
Going for food and cocktails
I know it's boring and black and safe but I just don't go out out a lot
I don't like dresses and it's forecast rain this weekend anyway.
Does this look okay?
Or do I need to ditch the jeans and look for some trousers ?(didn't really want to spend any money on clothes )so did a wardrobe raid

I think the jeans look too faded to look smart enough to go with the jet black top.

I think it looks great. I don't think it needs a belt, just a bag that is not black to compliment it.

I agree with this, but you've time to dye them. Washed out black jeans look new after some Dylon.

Even though the forecast is for rain, it’s June, you’re presumably going somewhere worth making an effort for, and it would be nice for your friends to see you in something less wintery and more cheerful.

Love this. Add a coloured bag, red lippie and great jewellery and you are good to go.

The top would be lovely with maybe a flouncy skirt and calf or knee high boots.

Yes it's a bit two tone black. I think a different coloured top or jeans would be better. But otherwise it's a nice outfit and you look good in it.

You’ve got a great figure :) the look is very dated if you care about looking fashionable - the skinny jeans and the chunky heavy looking heels.

I’d keep the top but pair with some wide leg trousers/jeans and a thin black belt and either trainers/low pointy sling back shoes/loafers

If you don’t care about fashion trends you look amazing though.

I also think the top makes the jeans being faded more obvious.

You can buy DyLon fabric dye for washing machines for £7. I found it really easy to use and my jeans looked almost as good as new.

Looks nice. I like those jeans. Personally I'd go for a different silhouette/colour on top. Maybe a looser top tucked in? But that's just me.

I love the shoes and like the jeans. The top is nice as an item and looks great on you but because it's more 'dressy' and a different shade of black I am not sure it goes with the rest as an outfit. Wondering whether a contrast colour top would be better.

I love the jeans, they fit you perfectly. And I think the overall look is cool - kind of dramatic in a completely casual way.
