I'm meeting friends I haven't seen in years.
Going for food and cocktails
I know it's boring and black and safe but I just don't go out out a lot
I don't like dresses and it's forecast rain this weekend anyway.
Does this look okay?
Or do I need to ditch the jeans and look for some trousers ?(didn't really want to spend any money on clothes )so did a wardrobe raid

Swap the jeans for a jet black pair (or even white) and you'll be fine. I'm not keen on the sandals but that's personal choice (I prefer wedges or chunky heeled boots). Add some jewellery, a large clutch bag and maybe a belt and you're good to go.

Some of the stuff suggested isn't really cocktail vibes.

If you normally wear skinnies then the best flared jeans to wear are skinny flares. Ie skinny to the knee with a kick flare.

I do wear loose fit summer trousers for ease and comfort, I'm not morally against them. But on a night out, most women do want to look their best
