Fat girl summer - let's slay 💅

So, for those of us who are chunky yet funky, what's the plan ladies?

Shall we give no fucks and wear nice comfy summery clothes or do we worry about keeping every inch of us covered head to toe in black until we sweat so hard we melt? What's the plan?

Currently a size 20/22 myself, unlikely to get down to a magical size 14 by July so I'm looking at the nice comfy looking linen pants, few maxi dresses, shorts because I'm a wee chubby pale rebel and to really go wild a jumpsuit or two.

Simply be has some lovely things at the moment including shoes, asos curve is looking alright and vinted is my best pal.

I'm 35 for a few more months and don't want to have another summer in my 30s hating my body, so this year I'm going to embrace it. Anyone with me?

I need some advice for tomorrow please. Our company was recently taken over and I'm heading up to London to the new head office tomorrow for some time with the marketing guy and MD (it's not big corporate). The MD had jeans and Cool trainers on when he came to our office.

1 - I accidentally bought a jacket in TK Maxx today, I think it's amazingly cool but it could be so cool that it's actually Grandma-ish. What do you think?
2 - I had planned to wear this heart jumpsuit with either white trainers or pink sandals. I want to make an impression and I think it is memorable. But ...
3 - I could also wear my long cargo skirt with a stripey t-shirt and white trainers. This is more grown up. And it looks rather nice with the new jacket.

Now, I'm drawn immediately to the jumpsuit, I think it's terrific, but I'm never ever right on these things on these type of threads, I just choose the outfit that I find most joyful but that's not always great for work situations? I'd dress every day like I'm in the taylor swift crowd if I could 😄

I love that jacket, the print is really unusual which I like but the shape of the jacket is definitely top notch 👌🏻 I like the blue as well, but I prefer the black and white, it's timeless.

Which one makes you feel the most confident? I'm another one who always had work uniforms like our @ChishiyaBat so dressing nicely wasn't an option. Although I could wear a tinsel halo at Christmas, my residents loved that!

I love that jacket, it would definitely make an impression too! So i'd say option 3.

@Lwrenn I have a whole drawer full of Christmas headbands, a Christmas pudding, a Santa whose legs hang down behind my ears, a headband with tinsel and baubles, reindeer antlers aaand I also wind multicoloured battery operated lights around my ponytail or bun😄. I wear a different one every week in December.

Ooh I love the jacket! I’d definitely go with that. Will look good with the T-shirt/skirt combo. Managing smart-casual, statement and work-appropriate in one outfit is quite the achievement!

What brand is it please, is it true to size and is the darker colour dark navy or black as I can’t tell but either way looks lovely on you and very flattering.

OMG I want that jumpsuit!! I'd probably go for option 3 though for the work thing though - but wear the jumpsuit as often as possible 😊
