Fat girl summer - let's slay 💅

So, for those of us who are chunky yet funky, what's the plan ladies?

Shall we give no fucks and wear nice comfy summery clothes or do we worry about keeping every inch of us covered head to toe in black until we sweat so hard we melt? What's the plan?

Currently a size 20/22 myself, unlikely to get down to a magical size 14 by July so I'm looking at the nice comfy looking linen pants, few maxi dresses, shorts because I'm a wee chubby pale rebel and to really go wild a jumpsuit or two.

Simply be has some lovely things at the moment including shoes, asos curve is looking alright and vinted is my best pal.

I'm 35 for a few more months and don't want to have another summer in my 30s hating my body, so this year I'm going to embrace it. Anyone with me?

@BollockstoThis1 l love the green M&S Bardot dress, these are my colours, l think l might have to order this and l may have to hide this group due to the amount lm spending, l haven’t got enough bodies to wear all my clothes as l spend 5 days in a uniform.

@Lwrenn 😒the poor kid no Christmas Pjs, l hope you got him an advent calendar at least. I am 48 and l still buy me one. Which makes me think l am so looking forward to Christmas dresses.

Can I just highlight these amazing socks with no horrible elastic cutting the leg off you. My legs are swollen/broken ankle etc and they stay up but don't leave marks off my leg. Actually revolutionary

@poorremus his name is Dylan, he's a beautiful little pain in the arse but you might like this one, he kind of started the ball rolling getting myself and my dp together! When he was little he stayed with myself and eldest dc (didn't have any others then!) Whilst his parents went on a trip to sort out family things for the week. My now dp and I weren't a couple at the time but had been best friends for years. Dp and his then girlfriend becky (who I'm still close with because she is a lovely lass!) Came over for dinner and Dylan took one look at her and fell in love. He pulled the ring off a pop can and proposed there and then. Dp said to him something like, "don't move in on my gf, that's not cool", and Dylan looks at him, dead in the face and says, "no, she's my girlfriend. You should marry lwren if you want a gf but becky likes me now because we're sexy". Poor becky was mortified. I'd always liked dp but never ever even admitted to myself so I'm now so embarrassed and dp is just thrilled with how funny Dylan is but completely oblivious and my dc is in a world of his own, didn't notice any of it.
Becky and dp ended after a few months but she and I kept in touch, she comes to see the kids and I if she's back in town and even though she's married now she's still is known as sexy becky 😂 Dylan has always liked an older Woman looking back.

Today I'm wearing a gingham wrap dress from Asda. It's a bit boobalicous so I've put a bright pink vest top underneath.

My day of today and l was planning on doing some gardening, only when l woke up at 6am (yes in my day off l was fuming with myself) it was raining so l thought l will wear a dress and read after the food shop. Well while l was doing my food shop l decided to still have a busy day but dressed nicely, l feel lovely getting dressed up on my days off now instead of wearing leggings and a hoody and it’s made me more productive too.
