Things you would love to wear but that don’t suit you?

The mini trench like jacket came back in my local M&S in my size, tried it on and it didn’t look right. Tried a similar one on in H&M with the same result! Feel free to share your fashion woes!

Jeans and trousers, i'm only 4foot 10inches and a strange shape so they all look awful on me.

Biker style boots. My lower leg is too short.

Polo necks….too busty and matronly!😏

White jeans. I'd love to look expensive and chic, but even though I'm size 8, I just can't make them work for me

A-line skirts or ankle length skirts
blouses which looks nice tucked in
polo or high necked blouses/jumpers
Knee length boots

Pleather leggings. I have such an image in my head. Instead I look like an aged biker.

Chelsea boots. My feet are too big and my legs are too thin, so they just look massive on me. I think it's the expanse of plain material as boots with laces aren't as bad. See also any footwear with pointed toes.

Pretty much this look. I’m just far too self conscious of my stomach .

Wide leg trousers I'm under 5ft and they look ridiculous on me the waistband is too high.

Anything button through halter neck or wrap around too broad and big in the bust Anything three quarter length is full length on me only 5ft 2

High neck tops, too matronly.

What size are you? I'm a 43 and I wear both! Plus White Superga

So many things at 5 ft 2 and with big boobs. Little spaghetti strap dresses, halter necks, maxi dresses, Cos style slouchy things. Sigh.

maxi dresses are not maxi dresses for me they are trail on the floor dresses!

Floaty dresses. Anything with ruffles. I want to look ethereal and romantic but just look like a baby elephant

anything with spaghetti straps yep agree cannot wear a strapless bra too big in the bust

Skinny jeans- accentuate by thunder thighs

Those flowery midi dresses which are everywhere. I look so dumpy in them

Anything with a high neck

Same. They look ridiculous on me.

Boat / slash necks

I’m only 5’ 2’’ so maxi dresses look ridiculous on me. Would love to throw one on but they drown me! Very envious of taller women who look lovely in them!

Pleated skirts. Too much of a c- section belly.

Bodycon / tight fitting clothes

No bra ( my breasts move about too much)

Toe post flip flops ( they rub too much)

Some footwear makes my feet look huge too

I've never been able to wear polo necks either I think its a proportion thing and I do end up looking "matronly".

Bias cut stuff … I get this bunch of material in the small of my back because I’m not the right shape for it to drape.
Slim high heels …. It took me years to figure out why I don’t suit them… I have big calves and the reason is that I have low insertion calf muscles so I need to wear a bit of a platform and chunkier high heel or I look like a rugby player. Up to the knee boots, I need to wear mid calf (if I’m lucky) or ovet the knee. I’m in crap shape right now. I’ve put on four stone since my mum died a couple of years ago and I can’t wear anything but leggings and hoodies and scarves and I hate it but when I was in good shape (for me) my calves were my thing I had to mostly try and deal with.
