As the title says. Give or take 10% either way. Looking for a really nice new luxury bag and in need of suggestions.

A cheap beach bag to take on the holiday I booked with the rest of the £1500 😁

This again?

Besides the fact you obviously can't be arsed to read even the OP's posts, why is a cheap holiday, that's over and done with in a week leaving absolutely nothing to show for it, better than spending the money on a bag that should bring years of pleasure and still have retained value which OP could liquidate later if she wished?

It's crazy that so many people come to a thread about bags proposing wasting the money on a fleeting moment instead.

ChanelNo19EDT · 31/03/2024 19:20

Oh that Tod"s bag is 😍 gorgeous

These r the ones I would suggest. The mini puzzle is slightly over budget and the blonde has been mentioned earlier. Enjoy shopping!

I have the Aphrodite in red. It came with two extra straps so I can wear it in many ways....I adore it, its gorgeous. I love handbags.

Good idea. I suggest calling it, Trumpets and Benches Halo

I was tempted to start a thread saying I'd like a holiday so that everyone could tell me to save my money and get a bag instead - but I didn't because I'm not that naughty.

Floofydawg · 31/03/2024 20:55

Hop over to my trumpets and benches thread, some lovely bags.

Well you'd waste good quality bag money then, which is very silly.

Go on holiday to Hurghada and buy a knock off, win win. lol x

Stop encouraging crime by buying knock offs.
Buy quality, it'll last.

£75 on something from FatFace and donate the rest to people in need, for whom that money will make a real difference to their lives.

But would you really? Do you currently donate large sums of you free cash whilst ensuring you and your family only consume that basics?

Of course they don't. It's an oft repeated claim on here by people who think they're morally superior. It's unlikely to be a reflection of their lives.

But a nice bag from M and S and keep the rest!

Same here.

It would be classy to not criticise other people choices.

Ha which is exactly what you are doing.

Beouf · 03/04/2024 08:26

We should start another thread called "Handbags at Dawn".

It has been a really entertaining thread! And the comments keep coming

Ha which is exactly what you are doing.

Not really the same though is it. Op didn’t ask for opinions on whether she should buy a bag, Whether it’s was worth the money, What other people find ‘classy’ and so on.

Yet you decided to not only post an opinion that wasn’t asked for, but attempted to be derogatory and condescending.

The other poster pointed out the hypocrisy in your own behaviour and that it’s not classy to do that.

The ‘Ha’ is really misplaced.

I've had a look at the M&S bags, there's not one I like.
Taste is subjective. Budgets vary.

The next one is called Benches and Trumpets. For obvious reasons.

I agree. Anyway must crack on with work earning the handbag vouchers

Not at all.

I’ve no judgement if people spend 20p or £££.

There was no need for you to be sneery. The thread title was quite clear.

Well of course woman can’t spend money on themselves. Family holidays totally fine or better never buy anything for yourself and give everything you own to charity.
it’s pathetic, it’s jealousy.

enjoy your bag op.

I was just thinking that - a bag is (for most people) associated with being female and there does seem to be some kind of thing about it. Unlike cars which, unless you are buying a Birkin are much more expensive. I would also imagine that quite a few people including probably the op can have a £1500 bag and a holiday.

TorroFerney · 14/10/2024 12:35

Mouse82 · 22/03/2024 08:18

So you'll go up to some random in the street and tell them face to face.
The internet is real to you know, not some land of the make believe. Do better.

Edited

What an absolutely excellent post - that should a banner on the top of every post.

As an aside, I have a collague who had a "chanel" bag which I admired. Oh it's not real, I couldn't justify spending that much on a bag. I had my Mulberry Bayswater at the time which I know isn't chanel prices bur even so a tactless remark. What I wanted to say, but didn't as I am not a cow (well I am but there is a time and a place) is interesting but you can justify giving money to criminals who may be included in money laundering and human trafficking. What odd morals you have.
