You have £1,500 to spend on a bag of your choice, what do you go for?

As the title says. Give or take 10% either way. Looking for a really nice new luxury bag and in need of suggestions.

I agree. I'm not saying I have that amount of money to spend on a bag right now but if and when I buy a new bag, maybe for my 60th, I think it will be more.

I think Style and Beauty has been mistaken for the free for all that is AIUB . I hope you find your bag and enjoy it for life.

I am treated to a new handbag about once ever 10 years , always a Mulberry as they are my thing. I don’t buy any other hand bags inbetween so makes for good ethical shopping .

One of mt oldest Mulberry is currently carting my daughters uni books around. She’s getting her first new one for her birthday and so the cycle begins again .

i hope you find your bag , ( if you haven’t already as apologies I’ve not skipped back since your last update ) and enjoy it for life like I do mine .

PS my wedding dress went to a charity shop after my divorce but I kept my bags because they bring me joy . 😆

@Footgoose - I have a similar story! I bought a Mulberry bag in 1988. It was a lot for my budget at the time, but I took it to work for years. Now my daughter uses it! They really are an investment.

I passed my very first LV onto my daughter for her 18th. It's still pristine and she loves it.

This is ridiculous.

A) It implies that those who are not struggling should live in supportive penury.
B) It fails to recognise that spending £1,500 on a bag finances the lives of those who are employed by companies to manufacture, market, and sell £1,500 bags.
C) A lot of the luxury "Maisons" donate to charity, so an "obscene" £1500 bag is contributing to that as well.
Gucci has been partnering with UNICEF for years.

I collect mulberry. I have black, taupe and tan. It covers must outfits.
If you buy new you get a cross body strap on the bayswater. That's handy.
I would go into the shop and find a made in England one. Some are now made overseas.

It would kill me to buy a bag as expensive as that, mainly because I am a fickle person and my tastes change dramatically. The only bag I would consider purchasing (if I had the money, I don't, and never will) is the classic chanel black chain bag but i imagine theyre more than £1.5k.

All the miserable gits posting about holidays and bags for life are just making me want to buy an expensive handbag out of spite. There was nothing in the OP that even hinted at wanting advice on anything other than a £1500 bag.

I would go second hand to get a nicer bag. If I was buying a designer bag I’d want it to be big enough for daily use.

I bought a lovely designer clutch in Century21. So I’d buy the flight and go to NY and get it there! No idea how much designer bags are now in America

Because you havent bothered to read the last 21 pages, even if you don’t want to read the whole thread, at least read through the OP posts, and you will see that she’s already purchased a beautiful bag. people are fed up with being told to donate to charity or spend it on a on holiday as it’s a waste of money… OP hasn’t asked what to spend her money on. She has asked what BAG to spend her money on
