I'm edging towards the last spritzes of my beloved Elle by YSL perfume. Why they discontinued this glorious fragrance, I will never understand. Off to buy another overpriced bottle on eBay, I guess.

I'm also pissed off with Jo Malone for getting rid of her English Oak and Redcurrant scent. The candle and body lotion were the best.

Who will you never forgive for discontinuing your favourite?

Nuxe anti-fatigue moisturising cream.

They replaced it with a pink tube, but it doesn’t smell as nice or work as well and leaves me looking greasy.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 15/03/2024 18:30

The original Lancôme mascaras from 90s/00s, Definicils, Magnificils. Also Prescriptives foundation (powder one).

ShinyPrettyThings87 · 15/03/2024 18:30

There was a volumising hair mousse, approx. 17 years ago, that was AMAZING. I have thin, fine hair and that stuff 'oof'ed it up so much!

Then they 'new and improved' it 😭 (has anything new and improved EVER been better than the original?) then discontinued it! I can't remember the brand, maybe it was Got2Be.. the bottle was definitely hot pink... probably blocked out the brand from all the trauma of crap hair for years afterwards.

Burton's (previously Walter's) Potato Puffs.
The best crispy snack in the world, ever.

Sorry realised this is in style and beauty 😂

Edited

The Bacon n bean flavour were legendry.

TheFormidableMrsC · 15/03/2024 18:31

Paul Smith Rose which has been my absolute favourite fragrance ever. I had no idea it had been discontinued until I went to replace recently. I'm gutted. Also Rimmel discontinuing the lipstick shade Rock n Roll nude. The most perfect colour that I can no longer get anywhere. Yet they hang on to hideous old fashioned shades like Heather and Coffee Shimmer. So bloody annoying.

This has made me laugh!

TheFormidableMrsC · 15/03/2024 18:32

Oh and there was a temporary hair dye which I think was by Nice n Easy and the only product for my hair I wasn't allergic to. Fuming when that disappeared.

Gymnopedie · 15/03/2024 18:35

Body Shop Viennese Chalk cleanser. Nothing has ever come close - though I suppose the fact that it was discontinued years ago is irrelevant as now the whole shop's gone.

Thisismyusername1 · 15/03/2024 18:37

Blvgari crystalline green jade cannot find anything similar

Decleor Phytopeel. The best exfoliator that ever lived. They briefly re-branded it as Thyme Peel then got rid of that too. Sometimes 50ml of it pops on eBay for about £6,240 😒

It was like nothing else. I used to say it was the one product I hoped would never be discontinued. Then they discontinued it. Argh 😩

Definitely the best exfoliator I have ever used.

Nothing comes close for me.

penjil · 15/03/2024 18:37

TM1979 · 15/03/2024 16:16

Nice n easy 8 wash non permanent hair colour.
The light ash blonde used to give me a nice light brown.
Cannot get it here anywhere.

My mother used this hair dye and this exact colour too. Nothing comes close to it, and she can't understand why the whole range was discontinued.

CoolShoeshine · 15/03/2024 18:38

I’m still mourning the loss of Estée Lauder double wear light, my favourite foundation ever. Still not found the right substitute.
also nice and easy permanent hair dyes were cheap as chips and amazing, but they changed the formula and now they’re shit.
In the 80s Natrel deodorants smelled amazing, I’d love them to come back

blackandgold88 · 15/03/2024 18:38

Marc Jacob’s -Oh Lola perfume 😩 such a beautiful scent

BigWillyLittleTodger · 15/03/2024 18:39

Got2b dry oil hair mist, my hair has never been the same since it was discontinued, it stresses me out daily, there is no product like it on the market.

Prescriptives foundations
Bobbi Brown "Rosy" lipstick
Dior loose powder in Opaline
Diorskin powder foundation (the old one)
Paco Rabanne XS pour elle
Cacharel Eau d'Eden
L'Oréal dandruff shampoo that actually worked

I bought Eden in Superdrug at Christmas.

WingSlutz · 15/03/2024 18:40

Ah, so many of these! I'm still angry about:
Lancôme juicy tubes
Bathina Body so fine
A Benefit foundation stick, you could use a bit for concealer or put it all over for foundation
A Benefit lip plumping primer (forgot name)
Eau de Gucci
Lancôme definicils in Blue Black

Gymnopedie · 15/03/2024 18:42

MrsDilligaf · 15/03/2024 18:37

Definitely the best exfoliator I have ever used.

Nothing comes close for me.

Clarins Gentle Peeling Cream is the nearest thing I've found to Phytopeel. Ignore the fact that they refer to it as a scrub there are no scrubby particles, it is just a cream.

Unicycle82 · 15/03/2024 18:43

Timotei - the original one! 90s nostalgia

Mogdidabadthing2 · 15/03/2024 18:44

Natrel antiperspirant deodorant from the 1990s. Wonderful stuff. I’ve never found anything as good since then.

Oh my god. Had forgotten this. It was in green cans was it? Loved it

KirstenBlest · 15/03/2024 18:45

I loved going to the Shu Uemura shop.
Missing Corn Silk, Cosmetics-to-go, Innoxa and Almay.

SharpLily · 15/03/2024 18:47

Stella Nude perfume. I'm still devastated, years on.

Korres Bitter Almond shower gel and body lotion.

The Bliss skincare range, particularly the lemon and sage shower gel and body lotion.

07whatever · 15/03/2024 18:47

Impulse Zen
Lacoste Inspiration perfume
Mars delight chocolate bar

MrsWhattery · 15/03/2024 18:48

Oh so many. I think the cosmetics companies of the world have a special room with a big crystal ball where they watch me finding products I like. Then they discontinue them with an evil villain laugh Angry

dior eau svelte
decleor arome tonic, which I found as a great replacement for eau svelte
body shop Fuji green tea perfume, which I found to replace arome tonic!
l’occitane pink calisson tinted lip balm
original Charles worthington shampoos with the amazing smell
a boots bubble bath called “erase the day” which had the best smell ever
fcuk grapefruit bubble bath - bliss
maybelline lash stylist BASTARDS. Only mascara that ever really worked for me.
zoya paloma nail polish
pink germolene
there are many more

MrsDilligaf · 15/03/2024 18:49

Cachet perfume by Prince Matchabelli.

It was the first perfume I ever had. I was 11 and wore it all the time, discontinued years ago, but I wish I could smell it again 😌

Sharontheodopolodous · 15/03/2024 18:54
