What trainers for city break (Rome) as only pair of shoes?

I'm going to Rome very very soon for the weekend and I can only take one pair of shoes, so I need something that will do me for walking all day but also work for (not hugely fancy) dinners. So no 'running trainers' trainers, but am worried that something like Stan Smiths (which I like look of, but don't own a pair of) won't be comfortable enough.

Anyone got any suggestions of something that ticks all of the boxes?

I find my vejas super comfortable

Sorry, but I own these and definitely wouldn't recommend for all day walking.

AIBU
My partner and I both work. My SD is here for the Easter holidays. For about two and a half weeks. She is 10. His work is from around 8:am and he is usually home from around 2:30/3:pm. My job is a little different. It is a reactive position therefore, I have to leave home at a few minutes notice and can be out from around 9:00 am until sometimes 8/9pm. I go from job to job all over London. I can have one call out or many more depending on how busy my works schedule is that day.

Her father, has made no child care arrangements while she is with us. He just simply said, if you go to work, leave her home alone. I am NOT happy with this, yet he won’t entertain my reservations.

This is the same man that won’t leave cash or valuables at home. (In case we get burgled) instead carries them with him.

Today was the first working day since she arrived last Friday. I had a job to go to, I called him and said I had to go. He said to just leave her home. I said I’m NOT happy doing that. Please put a message in our WhatsApp saying you wish me to leave her. Which he did after getting quite angry with me. I replied saying, I’m not happy leaving a 10 year old at home alone, and you have no right be angry upset with me over it. I said it’s just in case something were to happen then it was his decision.

in my mind both our vehicles are gone from the property when we work. This screams empty house to any would be burglar. He is constantly telling me about crime, robberies and burglaries in our area.
She is a normal 10 year old, although she has never been left before. He says he can stay on video call to her, that sounds fine! But if something did happen he is at least 45 minutes away. I could be anywhere in London. This has caused a serious argument this morning, as he had to leave his work and come to pick her up. I’m being blamed . Am I wrong for not wanting to leave her?

These are what the link originally took me to. Unbelievably ugly in that sort of crocs way. They make me shudder

I agree Vejas (the V10s anyway) are super uncomfortable. Maybe other styles of Veja are more comfortable but mine just sit on the shoe rack because my feet hurt when I wear them.
